Sen. Warren: ‘You Didn’t Build’ That by
Yourself, ‘All of Us Helped’

Echoing the “You didn’t build that” claim made famous by former President Barack Obama, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) made a pitch for a new tax while addressing the Black Church PAC's Youth Leadership Conference in Atlanta on Saturday. But, Obama’s controversial 2012 comment actually appears to have been a paraphrase of remarks Warren made a year earlier when she was running her successful campaign to unseat incumbent Republican Senator Scott Brown. On Saturday, promoting her proposal for a new “wealth tax,” Democrat presidential hopeful Warren told her audience that, if any of them have built a fortune, they didn’t do it on their own, because “all of us helped” them:

Yuengling made the beer, and I paid them for it. Everyone who was even marginally involved got paid for it except me. So yes, I did that.

It may be fun to call her names but she is a plenty scary person. A large percentage of Trump voters last time around were really anti-Hillary voters. This time we don't have the H-Factor. Warren is telegenic and smart as opposed to the previous wannabe glass ceiling breaker. I still can't believe she got caught in a racist lie and then apologized and moved on as though nothing happened. I personally can't imagine another politician who would have the huevos to do that---she outperformed Bill Clinton with his "it depends on the meaning of is." She comes across as a no-nonsense person just at a time when lots of people are yearning for less theatrics. I'm NOT defending her in any way; I just think we shouldn't blow her off with the Demo bucketload of crazies. She's seriously dangerous and we'd better have a good plan to deal with her.

So am I supposed to let the construction workers who built my house live here with me? I paid for the house. It's mine. Companies paid taxes for roads and other infrastructure -- they own those (along with the rest of us who paid for them) and can use them for their business purposes. But most of the taxes we pay don't go towards infrastructure. Most goes towards buying votes for dimocrats. If we only paid taxes for public infrastructure, maybe I would be willing to pay a little more. Except I would be paying 1/10th of what I pay now, so I would be will to pay a tiny bit more, if needed.

This thinking is the idiocy of the Socialists, that it's "the people" that make everything happen. Let's be real, the average person has no ability or interest at the level of creativity and drive to build what a top leader does. If everyone was a Bill Gates or a Steve Jobs or a Winston Churchill or a Sister Teresa or a George Washington or a Leonardo Da Vinci, we would all be billionaires and the advancement of society would be at light speed. Comparatively, few are at that level. That's OK. But the people that are, DO BUILD THAT, DO MAKE THAT HAPPEN. People like Warren that minimize others to elevate themselves and their agenda are corrosive to society. If you don't celebrate merit, you celebrate mediocrity or incompetence; people like Warren and the rest of her fellow smurfs.

The offensive piece was drawn by Portuguese artist António Moreira Antunesas and published during the Passover holiday. The cartoon prompted an uproar within the Jewish community and sparked protests outside the Times’ office in New York City, with Israel’s ambassador to the U.N. likening it to

No one set out to turn the airwaves into a political weapon—much less deputize talk-radio hosts as the ideological enforcers of a major American political party. Instead the story of how the GOP establishment lost its power over the Republican message—and eventually the party itself—begins with frantic AM radio executives and a former Top 40 disc jockey, Rush Limbaugh.
