Lagos—Blessing was only six years old when her mother arranged for her to become an unpaid housemaid for a family in the Nigerian city of Abuja, on the promise they would put her through school. In her home town in southwest Nigeria, her mother had trouble making enough money to feed her three children. But when Blessing arrived in Abuja, instead of going to school, the family worked her round-the-clock, beat her with an electrical wire if she forgot one of her chores and fed her rotten leftovers.(Snip) Africa has the highest prevalence of slavery, with more than
The same thing goes on in Haiti. In the book Miracle on Voodoo Mountain the issue of restavak (slave children) is revealed.
How can we expect lost people who live in spiritual darkness to know and do what is right. We think it comes naturally to love your children, but we have lived in a society that was heavily impacted by the Gospel.

The United States was an abolitionist country from it's birth. A union of 13 colonies was formed in spite of the fact that slavery was practiced.
The American people ended slavery.
We will continue to fight against slavery whenever and where we can.
I'm glad to see that Reuters is on board with this. Perhaps we can get people like Oprah, Spike Lee and Morgan Freeman to join us.

This is where the Black Reparations Mongers should be focused, on Africa and the Middle East, where slavery is common and acceptable by the general population. Their odds of success in getting anybody there to cough up money for these poor souls is just about zero so they choose the easy target, the helpless, handcuffed American Taxpayer. Children, especially girls, are worked around the clock and are the objects of sexual abuse from a very young age. Not that long ago, two Kuwaiti policemen were observed raping an Indian boy on a US Army base but they couldn't be touched. It's a world-wide tragedy, which makes it doubly insulting when Blacks demand a virtual fortune for something that happened to none of them by nobody alive today. A pox on them all. If I had the authority I would work to remove all ladders, programs and monetary support from all of them and let them sink or swim and from their performance so far, sink is far more likely than swim.

It is also important to realize that in 1776 there were more White Christian Slaves living in the Middle East than Black African Slaves living in the US.

Yes, let's talk about the Africans who sold other Africans to slave traders in the 18th and 19th centuries. Maybe their descendants should pay reparations.

This is the dirty little secret that American blacks don't want to know about -- the people who kidnapped and sold slaves in Africa were other blacks. Everybody acts as if slaves mysteriously appeared onboard ships in the middle passage (the Reuters headline is proof of that). They didn't. The slave trade was sourced by and depended on black slavers in Africa.

If we had a true conservative news network like abc/nbc/cbs we could provide truthful news nationwide every day to counter the radical left rat drumbeat of daily lies.
But we don’t and I can’t fathom why we don’t.
We need to pound the truth and counter their lies on that TV every day, not on pc’s or little baby phones.
Veterans for Trump 2020
We need national conservative news!
Tell them the truth!

FAR: ''This is where the Black Reparations Mongers should be focused, on Africa and the Middle East, where slavery is common and acceptable by the general population.''
The problem is that slavery in Africa and the Middle East doesn't pay anything, nor get anyone elected. The left doesn't really care about slavery, unless it can be used as a weapon by their deranged base. You won't see them over there leading marches and protesting slavery!

I'd like to see (the reprehensible) Kamala Harris talk about modern day slavery, or better yet, to actually care about its victims. It will never happen, because Leftists use race problems solely as a political weapon. I doubt very much that if you looked into their souls, they give a d*** about real victims who are suffering right now.

Funny that Pelosi, Omar, and other Democrats didn't bring this up during their photo-op at the "Door of no Return" slave gate last week. Their taxpayer paid African vacation last week would have been a perfect time for caring Democrats to show how much they really cared about the evils of slavery. Criticize it while at it's source and where it still continues (as it has for thousands of years).

Maybe with all of the third world illegal immigrants bringing their various diseases, cultures and laws into the United States they will bring the practice of slavery back into this country. The democrats will accept it just like they accept everything else that is being imported.
When you think about it, it's a very efficient system of procuring cheap labor, no minimum wage, no benefits, no time off for silly vacations and child birth delays. Plus, you get to whip those workers who are mouthy, lazy and insolent. I can see it becoming a campaign talking point.

Some years I caught a part of a series on PBS (yes, I know) by a Dr. Louis Gates (of the "beer summit" fame) tracing his roots back to Africa. It was actually intellectually honest and open (so it will never see the light of day again). Early in the episode, he was on Ghana ( I think) visiting the castle of a "Slave King". The tour was given by the great-grand daughter of the last King. He had built his Kingdom and wealth as a slave trader. His men, not Europeans, rounded up others to be sold, with those poor souls heading both East and West. She told Dr. Gates of black American tourists on "Roots" tours screaming and crying uncontrollably when she related those facts to them - that their ancestors had been enslaved by other Africans and sold to the highest bidder, European or Muslim. He later ventured to the fabled city of Timbuktu where discussed modern-day slavery and met an old man who had been enslaved most of his life.

Slavery in Africa, you say! The US should be doubly shamed at cultural appropriation when foolishly we decided to not pick our own cotton all those years ago.
