NEWARK, N.J.  — Black rag dolls that came with instructions to “find a wall” and slam the toy against it have been pulled from three stores after customers and a lawmaker said they were offensive. The “Feel Better Doll” featured instructions to “whack” the doll “whenever things don’t go well and you want to hit the wall and yell.” The president of One Dollar Zone said roughly 1,000 dolls were pulled this week from its store in Bayonne and two others also in New Jersey.

A strange item for sure. If you google it you get a full image, with a very wide smile on the face and a little scarf around its neck that says I heart you. ?? Who did they think they would sell these too. As just a normal rag doll, it is kinda cute, but to have those instruction sewn in on the back are strange indeed. I am sure they came from China.

Hear me out. There is a line of dolls called 'Dammit Dolls'. Look it up. They come in all color combinations. They have a poem on the front that starts 'Whenever things don't go so well and you want to hit the wall...' and continues to say whack the doll against the wall instead while shouting 'Dammit! Dammit! Dammit!' They're funny and meant for stress relief. I bought a couple for cancer patients going through chemo. I suspect this doll is a knock-off of that. They had a lot of the black ones left over and tried to get rid of them at a dollar store. Nothing mean or racist about them at all. Unless that's how you see the whole world, which i suspect is the problem with the complainer.

RE #11: I actually have one of those "dammit dolls" in multicolored fabric. I purchased it at a hospital gift shop and also bought one for my sister, my neice and an aunt who was undergoing knee surgery at the time. There is nothing "racist" about them, with the poem on the back meant to be a stress reliever as you mentioned. I grow weary of people who stumble through life waiting for someone to push their "offended" button, just so they have a reason to scream at the sky!!

#11 and #14 - I'm also a stress-free owner of a Dammit Doll. The dolls are adorable. When I saw them in our general mercantile, I bought three for gifts and one for myself. I got rave thank you's from all recipients. Mine is a bright pink and red floral. The grandsons (13-10-3) visited this summer and thought it was a blast to hit stuff that couldn't be hurt. Obviously, people preferred the brightly patterned dolls and there was an overage of black. It is overstock that Dollar Stores carry, that's why they can charge a dollar. Socialists have no humor because they think Everything in life depends on them. Lighten up. Let God.

Actually, Dammit Dolls were made with rice or beans inside. During a game on TV, when things didn't go well, you whacked it until the stuffings came out. The poem was a little different when they originally came out. I have Redskins one.

The Air Force has begun to look at whether there’s increased risk for prostate cancer among its fighter pilots. A new investigation by McClatchy shows just how serious the problem may be. The fighter pilot study was requested by Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. David Goldfein after he was contacted by concerned veterans service organizations in 2018, according to the report obtained by McClatchy. At the heart of the Air Force study was a question of whether extended exposure in the cockpit to radiation may be linked to increased risk of prostate cancer.

Everyone can relax, the mystery of the Queens In-N-Out burger may have been solved. On Sunday, a man living in the Queens borough of New York City discovered a perfectly wrapped and seemingly untouched In-N-Out burger sitting in the middle of the street. This stood out to him because there are no In-N-Out locations within 1,500 miles of New York City. “It genuinely shook me to my core,” Lincoln Boehm, 31, initially told the New York Post. Boehm, originally from Santa Monica, Calif., said he and his wife were heading to a McDonald’s before catching their train at the Jamaica Long Island Railroad station when they found the burger.

The rookie right-hander uncorked one of the most wayward first pitches ever when she plunked a team photographer standing close by, between the mound and first base line prior to Tuesday night’s game against the Kansas City Royals. The ball went right off Darren Georgia’s lens, nowhere near the plate.

The last few days have been a clear example of why Sen. Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign is wobbling. Let’s begin with the former district attorney’s visit to her home ground for the 75th anniversary celebration of the Sun Reporter, the town’s African American newspaper. Harris worked the pre-party crowd with charm, sharing jokes and memories with everyone she came across. But when she took the stage, we got a 30-minute lecture on the importance of the First Amendment. An inspiring subject, but she went on way too long and without any reference to where she was or who was in the room. She might as well have been in New Hampshire.
