The Democrats have spent well over two years asking themselves what they did wrong in the last presidential election and how to avoid those mistakes in 2020. But they seem to suffer from a collective learning disability that prevents them from absorbing the obvious: Their party will lose again if they continue to insult the voters by insisting that the president they elected isn’t worthy of the office and that their country was founded on oppression and remains rife with racism, cruelty, and injustice. Yet this false and dispiriting vision seems once again to have become the Democratic Party line.
The lesson the Democrats seem to have learned from 2016

They tried this, to a lesser extent, during the Nixon-McGovern race of 1972. It didn't work.
And the dimocrats are prematurely going for impeachment, but that won't work, either.
By the way, Chris Wallace was unwatchable yesterday, when he interviewed Steve Miller.
Wallace is toast. Even the new mangers at Fox are going to realize that.

#2..I totally agree with you. That interview by Wallace was totally disgraceful and unfair. Like father..like son.

"...the Democrats seem to be under the impression that it is the responsibility of the electorate to live up to their expectations rather than the reverse." YES.

The fact that any candidate is a self-centered, ego maniac is actually not a problem!
It could be argued that a bloated sense of import is a necessary quality of confidence that pushes the candidate to work hard to win ... after all their ego & self-esteem is on the line.
The history of the US is filled with blow-hard senators, congressmen and even Presidents who accomplished great things. That's not the problem with the Dems. Their problem is their overall collective feeling of superiority, self-righteousness, intellectual arrogance and most of all contempt for those who disagree with them. A true narcissist is so wrapped up in themselves that not only do they not recognize anyone else's existence but they can't be bothered hating someone else. Takes too much energy to hate and that pulls away from their self-love.

" the Democrats have not yet absorbed the lessons of 2016"
and 2010, 2012 (kind of), and 2014. The dems have a history of "not learning". In fact, at this point it should be clear that dems are committed to a path contrary to the desires of the Country. The only reason they have survived to this point is because they are unabashed liars and the media is their propaganda arm. The Country has had to discover that not only is a major political party not FOR our Country, but the media, the "guardian of truth", is not either. Americans, being the optimists they are, have found it hard to accept this truth. No longer. No one trusts the media. The dems are making fools of themselves and We the People know it.
Time's up for the dems/Left/media/DeepState/NeverTrumpers fools.

The left is caught up in its own echo chamber. The loudest voices are members of the left (dumbocrats, "news" industry, Hollywierd) and they drown out all other voices that they don't like. Consequently they only hear themselves and mistake that noise as being the genuine thoughts and opinions of the majority.
Just like a dictator that surrounds himself with Yes-men. They know what he wants to hear and that is what they tell him, dooming him to becoming totally detached from reality.

Funny how Democrat Chis Wallace did not bat an eye when Steve Miller said Omar and Talib offended him with their antisemitism, since Wallace´s Mother, Father and Stepfather were all members of the tribe too.

We need a new network on television to rival the liars of fake news at abc/nbc/cbs
A national network of our conservative views and truthful reporting. Not Fox News anymore, it’s so full of lefty reporting of lefty lunacy.
Are there a few Wealthy conservatives out there to start a conservative network to rival the daily drumbeat of radical left fake news?
Please do this!
America needs the truth told on tv every day!!!

I hope that "the squad," and all the Progressives backing them, manage to offend enough voters, so that they are voted out of office.

Alienating the electorate. That's precisely the Dems' strategy, since at least 1965.
