Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is famous for wanting a guaranteed income for those "unwilling to work" and well, apparently, she was thinking of herself. So despite making a $174,000 freshman congresswoman's salary (which would fill a lot of tip jars), she's complaining about the workload of a typical congresswoman who's landed some highly visible and privileged committee seats. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez D-N.Y., wondered if House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is purposely assigning her busy work, in an effort to discourage her outward dissent and keep her away from the public eye. Ocasio-Cortez made the comments during a Tuesday interview with The New Yorker Radio Hour and said she was given strenuous

How do we get rid of this overaged teenager? I’m so sick of her and her whining. She’s a disgrace.

Time to step up and shut up.
Give your constituents $174K of representation, or go back to popping off bottle caps of the longnecks in the cooler.

I would like to ask someone to explain what work is when it involves people who have never worked a day in their sorry lives and now free load as legislators. I'll check back later.

There needs to be a serious discussion about how some POC have come to expect to pick and choose what they work on or not work on at their jobs. That's not a racist statement. Some work very hard, others don't do squat. The problem is companies for 40 years have acquiesced because of getting called racist to those who don't work. Now, it seems that this is what is expected. AOC seems surprised that she may have to do something to earn her $174,000. If she is being treated unfairly, that is different but how do the other representatives handle their responsibilities?

AOC always thought being a Congress woman would be like a rerun of that old show "West Wing"...Remember how they always seemed to be walking fast down an endless hallway. They were discussing world affairs and reporters were sticking microphones in their faces.
AOC says...you mean we actually have work to do during our six months of work we have to be in Washington.for the entire year.

like Obama, she has won life's lottery. she is young, and unless we have a revolution will have a comfy salary for the rest of her life. It's enough to make you want modern medicine to stop improving our lifespans

So what work? Attending meetings? She whined about being on committees but what does that actually involve? I think in reality she can't stand the meeting schedule that cuts into her stage time. I doubt that she has to engage in other related tasks such as taking an assignment out of a meeting and reporting on it at the next.
Now bartending I respect.

If she weren't on the committees she asked to be on, she'd by crying, "Discrimination! Discrimination!"
I'd like to say AOC is a real piece of work. But she doesn't know how to spell W O R K let alone do it.

Amazon announced yesterday that they are investing several hundred million to build a new distribution center in north Atlanta that will provide over a thousand new jobs. As an Atlanta resident, thank you AOC.

My guess is that many L-dotters have worked 60 hour weeks, and more when necessary---and not for that kind of salary.

With your grubby hand in that tip jar, you didn't have to work very hard at that bar, did you, Chica?

Does she ever shut up or stop whining ? I resent my tax dollars going towards not only her salary, but the other three who don't know how to shut up and act professional.
