Nancy, please read up on Congress’ job description in the Constitution. Congress writes our laws, so why don’t you introduce a bill to legalize it? If you can convince enough senators and representatives to agree (and override a POTUS veto), you will have your law. If not, try again next session. That’s how it works.

The leftist and liberal Democrats could well loose the election on that issue alone. To most Americans what Pelosi said can easily be analogized to it not being illegal for someone ( perhaps an illegal alien) to walk into their houses uninvited. By decriminalizing aliens sneaking into the USA by way of the borderline, abolishing the consequence of deportation for aliens found to be unlawfully in the USA, and providing all illegal aliens with free healthcare benefits, the leftist and liberal Democrats are encouraging unlimited numbers of mostly all poor, uneducated, and socialist minded people from all over the world to attempt to gain an unlawful entry to the USA by way of the borderline, thus causing the illegal alien population in the USA to grow exponentially and unabated. The leftist and liberal Democrats have big political reasons for allowing that to occur. In the short-term the Democrats want as many illegal aliens as possible to be counted in the 2020 Census thus greatly padding the population count in immigrant and low income areas of the big Democrat run cities. That causes more Federal Money to be allocated to those areas, and could cause the reapportionment of more congressional seats into those areas, where the Democrats socialists have an easy chance to win those seats thus making it easier to maintain a Democrat majority in the House of Representatives. In the long-term the Democrats plan to grant a “comprehensive immigration reform” based amnesty to almost all the 22 million illegal aliens now realistically believed to be in the USA, and not just the bogus low ball 11 million figure that the supporters of mass illegal immigration and the liberal media have been using for well over a decade. Remember the illegal alien population is now increasing at about 100,000 a month as a second prospective DACA generation is now seeking to gain unlawful entry to the USA. The next step for the Democrats will be to then create a “path to citizenship” for all the tens of millions of legalized aliens to grant them US voting rights, as the Democrats consider almost all legalized aliens to be natural future Democrat socialist voters. With all those millions of foreign born voters, the Democrats would then have the voter numbers to permanently change the voter demographics in enough key areas of the country to keep them in permanent political power, be able to pursue their socialist political agenda, and to transform the USA into a socialist utopia at least until the money runs out.

Has Madame Leader thought about how her words sound to legal immigrants to the United States?!? You know, the people who went to the immigration office, took a number, waited their turn, and fulfilled a slew of requirements to acquire the privilege of remaining in our country. As a side note, I live in Colombia, and it never would have occurred to me to slough off my responsibilities to obtain a residency visa when I moved here. Getting your visa straight with immigration authorities is a serious responsibility that every immigrant has to do, and everyone knows it. Border jumpers know full well that they´re breaking our laws, wherein they choose to abuse the good will of the American people. That´s a terrible way to begin their lives in America, breaking our laws right off the bat and then whining about how bad America is. What kind of neighbors will such people be, and do we really want them in the USA? I have no sympathy whatever for border jumpers, and I consider their complaints to be deeply offensive. Actual asylum seekers should get their act together before they leave their countries, and do that at their local US embassy or consular office,

Remember Nancy Pelosi is the leader of the Democrat Party and as Speaker of the House of Representatives, and by holding that position is next in line to become President of the USA if something bad happened to President Trump and Vice-President Mike Pence. So whatever Pelosi says must be taken seriously and must be considered to be the official Democrat Party position on any political issue. Clearly the Democrats are on a mission to transform the USA into what amounts to a socialist utopia. Since the Democrat socialist based political agenda is highly unpopular with the majority of Americans who actually do vote in elections, the Democrats know that to eventually accomplish their political mission of transforming the USA into a socialist utopia that they must first overthrow the “Deplorable” majority current voter demographics in enough of the USA to ensure that they can attain and maintain permanent political power in DC to accomplish that objective. To do that the Democrats have been opposing and sabotaging all reasonable immigration law enforcement measures to secure the borderline and to ensure that as many poor, uneducated, and socialist minded illegal aliens as possible are able to gain entry to the USA. In the future the Democrats intend to grant a “comprehensive immigration reform” amnesty to just about the entire 22 million illegal alien population believed to be in the USA that is now increasing at about 100,000 a month by way of the insecure borderline, amnesty loopholes that the Democrats inserted in the asylum and immigration laws, along with court rulings by liberal Democrat nominated federal judges. Following that the Democrats intend to through a created “path to citizenship” process grant those aliens US citizenship and US voting rights, believing that the vast majority would become natural Democrat socialist voters. That’s the political game the Democrats are playing to overthrow the current “Deplorable” majority in the USA.
