Beth Chapman, wife of Duane "Dog the Bounty Hunter" Chapman, died Wednesday. She was 51.
Duane, 66, announced her passing on Twitter, writing, "It’s 5:32 in Hawaii, this is the time she would wake up to go hike Koko Head mountain. Only today, she hiked the stairway to heaven. We all love you, Beth. See you on the other side."(tweet)In November 2017, Beth was diagnosed with stage 2 throat cancer. She underwent successful surgery, but doctors later told her the cancer had returned. She began chemotherapy in December 2018, but Duane told Us Weekly at the time that she wasn't necessarily cooperating with her doctors and wanted to explore alternative therapies.

I’m sorry to read about her passing. She and her husband both were diamonds in the rough. Unconventional, but good people, in my view.

When I was in night school, I'd come home wired from class and couldn't sleep right away. I used to sit and watch "Dog the Bounty Hunter" to relax. Dog and Beth were always fun to watch. I secretly hoped I'd see them in Colorado some day, but never did. May she rest in peace and may God help her family bear her loss.

Met Bonnie when she and Dog came to NYC to meet with Roy Innis. I wrote a column for NYSun which he said helped get him back on air. Bonnie was a delightful, wonderful woman. So sorry to see her go so young. R.I.P.

God bless and RIP. Wasn't a fan of the show but came across it and in spite of the drama they always seemed to be sympathetic to the guys who were just in a bad way as opposed to the real badasses. I suspect Beth had an influence to "tone it down".

I felt oddly close to DOG and his show after I spent a few minutes talking with him at the Honolulu airport, only to find out that I was his pilot to LAX (Calif) !
Our thoughts are with him and the family today.

Rough, tough people . . . with huge hearts! God took home a sweatheart, and we're the losers for it!
Prayers up for her family.

I'm sorry to hear she passed.Agree they were an unconventional couple in many ways. But it sounds like they really loved each other and had strong faith in God. May she rest in peace.

A previous poster said it best - they were diamonds in the rough!
One of my secret pleasures was watching “Dog the Bounty Hunter” when they ran all over Denver and Colorado Springs with bail bondsman Bobby Brown. I always wondered where Beth got her, ahem, “foundation garments” as she was amply endowed and when she ran, those things never moved.... That was a tough way to go, and way too young.
Rest in peace, Beth - we’ll miss you.
