What if someone you hated offered to pay off your mortgage or put your kids through college? You’d be suspicious at first, of course. Why is an enemy giving you the gift of a lifetime? But in the end, if you were smart, you’d take it. It would be too good to pass up. Something very much like that happened in Washington, D.C., recently. The Trump administration debated moving some of the thousands of migrants now massing through our southern border into various self-proclaimed sanctuary cities across the United States. It surely can't be the hypocrisy that defines Leftists, i.e. the Dem party; for thee but not for me, NIMBY. I could go on but you get the picture.

It sounds like the illegals will be fleeing Florida, at least those not rounded up and deported. Sanctuary cities can stand by to receive all those who escape.

On June 29, 2017, the Dailymail in UK ran an article headlined “Four years to save the Earth: 2020 is the deadline to avert climate catastrophe, experts claim in chilling commentary.” Two years later and halfway to deadline, the earth has not changed much. If anything, the El Niño of the 2016-17 season gave way for much cooler temperatures across the globe and the past two years have been colder than 2016. This is just one of the many climate doomsday news articles that gets published in our mainstream news media every single day. How seriously should we treat the climate doomsday claims? E. Jean Carroll, a longtime women’s advice columnist, has accused President Trump of sexually assaulting her more than two decades ago in the dressing room of a department store. Carroll, who was 52 years old at the time of the alleged assault, makes this allegation in a book she has just published. I have no trouble believing that Trump has improperly and forcefully touched women in the past. For one thing, he said he has (to Billy Bush). For another, more than a dozen women have accused him of this. Maybe they are all lying, but coupled with his admission, I think some of them are probably telling the truth.

Since the rise of the Islamic Republic of Iran in 1979, Iran has been in a state of ideological, religious cold war against the United States and its allies. Desiring to become the dominant force in the Mideast, Iran has worked to export its particular brand of Islamist revolution beyond its present borders. At the same time, like the Soviet Union with its specific version of Marxist-Leninism, Iran’s leaders have sought to expand their country’s zone of influence and control beyond its current national boundaries, to encompass the entire region — looking at the outside world in Manichean terms: divided between Iran’s Twelver Shiite brand

YouTube, Facebook, and Amazon have recently come under withering criticism from journalists and lawmakers for their role in amplifying unfounded and occasionally dangerous conspiracy theories, including the false but persistent belief that vaccines cause autism. The uproar caused Facebook to pledge to make it harder to find vaccine conspiracies on its platform, and Amazon has removed misleading documentaries from its video streaming service. But as false beliefs continue to fuel an unprecedented outbreak of measles, it's not just social media platforms that bear responsibility for keeping the conspiracy alive. HuffPost, the left-leaning internet news site owned by Verizon, currently positions itself squarely against vaccine conspiracy theories.

Let’s get this straight: Joe Biden is leading in the polls for the Democratic presidential nomination because he’s the most “electable” candidate in the Democratic field? A guy who doesn’t realize that I worked with segregationists isn’t a winning message with Democrats in 2020? This is what you get when you turn to a candidate who has been in Washington for 46 years. Biden was first elected to the Senate in 1972, when the Democratic Party was very different than it is today. As a freshman senator, he had to get along with the senior leadership of his party — which included segregationists

The Internet is a crazy place, made crazier with a desire from many platforms to be shocking just to get readership. Clickbait headlines and outrageous, negative stories complete with aggressive phrases like “owned” and “called out” litter websites and their corresponding social media accounts, which all do their best to out-shock each other to capture readers’ limited attention. While this insanity is definitely detrimental to our health as a society, it deserves even more scrutiny when directed at children. Teen Vogue recently published a story with the headline "Why Sex Work is Real Work," written by Dr. Tlaleng Mofokeng, who makes the argument that “sex work” should be decriminalized

The United States is again ranked as one of the worst countries in the world for human trafficking. According to a recently released report by the State Department, the top three nations of origin for victims of human trafficking in 2018 were the United States, Mexico and the Philippines. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo delivered the Trafficking in Persons report, which is created annually by the State Department to document human trafficking in the year prior, and highlighted the growing focus that government agencies and nonprofit organizations have dedicated to stopping human trafficking. The Department of Justice provided more than $31 million for 45 victim service providers

As activists strove over the past two years to take down statues of slave owners, Confederates, and racists, we generally agreed with the efforts but worried about who their next target would be. It ended up being Christianity. The iconoclasts have lost for now. The American Humanist Association persuaded only two of nine Supreme Court justices that the Constitution demanded demolition of a century-old war monument in the shape of a cross. The ruling had narrow implications. The cross in question — the Peace Cross, a World War I memorial in Bladensburg, Md. — has been around so long that it had taken on a mostly secular meaning,

I am sure the Democrat-controlled House has passed several bills and resolutions, maybe even some that matter, maybe even some that we conservatives would endorse. The thing is, most of us average American lugs do not live in Washington, D.C. When you pay premium prices, you expect a premium product — but that’s not necessarily the case with bottled water. California nonprofit Center for Environmental Health has revealed that water bottle brands Peñafiel, owned by Keurig Dr. Pepper, and Starkey, owned by Whole Foods, contain levels of highly toxic arsenic that are above the legal limit. The United States Environmental Protection Agency says long-term exposure to arsenic can lead to reproductive harm, circulatory and nervous system disorders and cancer. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention also note an increased risk of diabetes and hypertension.

President Donald Trump says he is delaying a nationwide sweep to deport people living in the U.S. illegally. He said in a tweet Saturday he would delay for two weeks to give lawmakers time to discuss border solutions. Three administration officials told The Associated Press the operation had been canceled because details had leaked in the media and officer safety could be jeopardized. The officials were not authorized to speak publicly on the operation and spoke on condition of anonymity. The operation was expected to begin Sunday and would have targeted people with final orders of removal, including families

UC Santa Cruz has announced that it will remove historic bells from the “Spanish Missions” after members of the community called them offensive. According to a report by Campus Reform, the University of California, Santa Cruz, will remove a major historical artifact from campus. The reason? Many in the UC Santa Cruz community argued that the artifact is offensive. The “Spanish Mission” bells were used between 1769 and 1833 to highlight the path of the 21 California Missions, which were constructed to evangelize Native Americans. Now, the school views these bells as symbols of past oppression.(Snip) Valentin Lopez, chairman
