When Donald Trump told George Stephanopoulos he (Donald) might listen to "oppo" research coming from a foreign source and that he might not tell the FBI about it, the mainstream media, as is so often the case, deliberately missed or misstated what he meant, went into one of their usual hissy fits, and attacked the president, even calling him treasonous.
Besides the obvious hypocrisy, pointed out with characteristic aplomb by Andrew McCarthy, something else, likely more important, was at play.
The media (and the Democrats, of course) deliberately missed the point because you would have to be seriously intellectually challenged not to get why Trump might have been hesitant or ambivalent

I suspect that just about anything of value evidence-wise has already gone into the shredder. Perhaps though there are just enough rats in the FBI who kept copies of the important stuff as an insurance policy in case someone decided to make them a scapegoat.

I don’t trust any agency of this government. When they are not acting criminally, they are stealing from taxpayers. Not all employees are guilty of misbehavior, but far too many are. The upper echelon is consumed with their lust for power and many underneath them are focused on their wages, pensions, bennies, conferences, etc. These agencies all need serious audits and we need to get rid of overlapping agencies. We need less people In government, not more. And we need to make sure those that are there, are honest.

The Declaration of Independence gave us a remedy for what ails this Republic. It's called ABOLISH . And to most of us , it seams to be the only one that will suffice the situation we now find ourselves in. There are at least a dozen ABC Agencies that we need to enact this remedy on right now.

#5- I really feel sorry for him when he's 'unemployed'. We still get to foot the bill for his salary and benefits ( neither of which will be much , if any less, than he currently 'earns'.

I'm not going to believe 'the rank and file' are even honest. Where do you think the 'rank and file' came from? Comey, Mueller, Rosenstein, Wray, Strotz, Ohr were all rank and file at one time before then they became 'the in crowd'. The FBI should be dismantled, reformed, renamed and with everyone revaluated, fired and some indicted. It's a den of thieves and crooks and shouldn't be trusted ever again.

Lock her up. Sack Barack. Then there might be a glimmer of trust but don't bet on it.

Chris Wray isn't worried about his "secrets", he's worried about his arse. That fact is obvious, Simon writes about "protecting the esprit de corps of the rank-and-file" having the opposite affect. Well DUH! It has nothing to do with esprit de corps, it's about protecting his own petard.
There is no other explanation. This is not his first gig at the FBI and just as prior FBI Directors protected the arses of their fellow swamp creatures, so does Wray.
ITS TIME TO DRAIN THE SWAMP!

Since its founding during prohibition, and throughout the Hoover years, the FBI has been the most corrupt organization ever created by the Federal government. The sense of being above the law has been ingrained in to their culture and remains to this day.

Only when we see a lot of orange jumpsuits will I start believing that they have started cleaning themselves up. Boston FBI can start by dismissing the entire corrupt FBI.
The best would be if the President disolved the FBI and started new with a lot of new fresh faces, preferably not tainted lefties.

Read George Stephanopoulos’s book it will make you ill. They are out of control. I really don’t know how Mueller could allow this.

Good grief. Like we believe you. We've heard this "transparency" word for 30 years and it didn't mean a damn thing.
