Hundreds of young Democrats will arrive in Atlanta next month to be trained as field organizers in an effort to prepare the party’s next generation of operatives to join the eventual nominee’s presidential campaign in seven battleground states.
The field organizing program is one of several new initiatives the Democratic National Committee (DNC) has implemented under Chairman Tom Perez, whose two-year-long overhaul of the national party has focused on building out the DNC’s campaign infrastructure, data and cybersecurity programs.
I have always said that you can tell the state of the economy by the quality of workers in fast food restaurants. When the job market is good, the better workers find better jobs, and your hamburger is put together wrong.
So I wonder what the quality of democrat campaign workers will be, now that there were jobs to be had when they graduated from college?

They can have an army knocking on every door but who are they going to nominate to run against Trump? The top 50 people in any phone directory is better than this bunch of con artists, losers and never do nothings running for the commie nomination.

Nothing new. The Dems have been doing this for years. It worked with Obama. Back then they were well funded and organized. Right now, they don't have a smidgen of a candidate that can excite a crowd the way Obama did in 08.
I would like to see the RNC or President Trump get a highly skilled PR person with the courage of Lee Atwater to run the campaign

First of all, shouldn't they BOYCOTT GEORGIA?! Sounds like Perez is way behind in his virtue signaling.
And #1, My wife and I call that the aggravation of full employment, and it's a good thing.
Meanwhile I couldn't help but notice the article mentions that the "field organizers" in training are 75% "people of color." I didn't see mention of percent female, but I'd wager most by far. I don't believe their model of "identity politics" can win, but they'll put it to the test, it appears.

fta: "The organizing principle behind the training program is that voters will be more receptive to Democratic outreach if it’s coming from locals within the community who intimately know the culture and nuances of their own neighborhoods."
There is a ring of truth in this pull quote, and that is that "the locals" within the community (the "grassroots") have a better reputation among the locals than the national socialist partisans of Nobama and Cankles who are out of touch with regular folks.
Likewise, the Republicans have got to engage in the "old school" practice of seeking out their neighbors who have similar values and finding those who have not been reached who didn't know their values line up with the Republican party and get them to the polls on election day.
Turnout will be EVERYTHING because of illegal and unethical practices such as "vote harvesting" which does not require an ID to validate ballots. If the Republicans don't roll up their sleeves and work their precincts and wards, they should expect to be defeated.
At present, there is a big problem with those elected carrying out the promises they make when running for office.... Mr. Trump has made big strides to do what he said, but the behemoth in place seems to rebuff his efforts at almost every turn, especially the RINOs in his own party.

Their plan is simple: They are going to saturate the country with anti-Trump and impeachment rhetoric 24/7. They will flood the airways, print media, and knock on our doors until their knuckles bleed with their frenzied rhetoric. They don't CARE who their candidate is because they will unite as they always do once the field dwindles down. To them, the more candidates the merrier right now because it gives THEIR PARTY twenty times the media exposure versus 1 guy trying to fight off all the hostility and run the country simultaneously. It doesn't matter that their candidates are wackos because each one of those wackos appeals to a different group of social justice warriors.
What is OUR organizational plan, anyway? Just go out and vote and have faith that common sense will prevail? That was supposedly our strategy in 2018 but we lost the House, didn't we. They are going to keep dangling the impeachment carrot right up to the midterms and as far as wild accusations, I fear we've seen nothing yet. They are desperate.
I hope I'm wrong.

Uh, we already know the DNC's plan to defeat Trump: Cheat.
The only thing we don't know yet is how.

Echoes of the Obama campaign strategy. Perez was an Obot from the start.

Other than Obama, who was elected because he was black, what results have they gotten that can be attributed to the community organizer’s model?
When Republicans lose to Democrats, it is because the Republican candidates are weak - not because some colossal astroturf machine ran over them.

Obama's win was a one trick pony. There's no way at this point that they can keep their coalition of the disaffected together. They spend more time trying to out-virtue each other, and out-victim each other, to be able to rally around one candidate.
The moderate Democrats and Independents will be the ones who will assure a Trump Victory in 2020.

I keep a Mossberg semi-auto shotgun next to the front door and when a community organizers (ie Move On) come to the door I pull out the gun and start rubbing it. They suddenly find a reason to be elsewhere, fast.

Perez is a community organizer by trade, and the most unpleasant person ever to head the DNC (and that's saying something).
