Dan Zadra once wrote, “worry is a misuse of the imagination.” In January of this year, after coming across a particularly worrying piece in the Atlantic, I misused my imagination. Sorry, Mr. Zadra. Titled “Young Trans Children Know Who They Are,” the piece focused on transgender children — those of whom identify as a different gender from the one they were assigned at birth. Ed Yang, the author of the piece, argues that, from an early age, children already have a strong sense of identity. He contends that some children as young as three already have a strong sense of their identity. If a three-year-old boy tells his parents

This is a particularly dark cultural trend. When I read of a parent allowing and even agreeing with a 3 year old claiming to be another gender, I see that as child abuse. And that there are surgeons willing to mutilate these children is appalling. Since a lot of this is being taught in schools, I advise everyone who has the ability to take their kids out of the government schools which sow this confusion and evil. Where is Betsy DeVos? Clean up the curriculum!

When you distort or overemphasize an issue, you get more and more unstable people who want to sign on to the craziness. This is what has happened with so-called transgenderism. You have one or two people who start the snowball rolling and then those who need the attention latch onto an ever-growing snowball. What we are seeing today is a dysfunctional view of sexuality across-the-board; you have sexual profligacy, sexual hyperactivity, homosexuality, gender identity issues, and an over-emphasis on all matters having to do with sex and sexuality. At its core, I think this over-sexuality issue is pure evil. It destroys cultures. When I was a child, I wanted to be a boy. I was a tomboy. I was a brash child. I outgrew it at adolescence and have never suffered from “gender dysphoria.” Far too much is being made of little children wanting to be a different sex. Just let them go through it and leave them alone, don’t encourage it. But I fear that our culture has gone too far down this road to come back. For that matter, we have gone too far down many hazardous roads in our culture to come back. And so, we pray.

Just the other day in the grocery store, I heard a three year old boy riding in the shopping cart say, "Mommy, I identify as transgender." NOT. Three year olds say a lot of fantastic things ("Mommy, I see a dragon coming out of your ear") but that's not one of them. And if were, it certainly wouldn't make it true. It's adults and parents that are inventing "transgendered" children, not the children themselves. And it's child abuse when they do.

Boy, there is really some high quality parenting going on out there. Most of these kids will end up complete basket cases by the time they make it to high school and probably will never be functional adults.

These days, among millennials and gen-Xer’s, it’s tres chic to either be a tranny or have a tranny child. Twenty years from now they will be drowning in massive amounts of heartbreak, depression, suicide and psychiatric fees. Like #2, I was a childhood Tom boy who spent my days climbing trees, building underground forts and playing in the mud of a nearby bayou. Then puberty kicked in and I discovered that boys were much more than just pals to dig in the dirt with. Absolutely, leave the kids alone.

A sneaky way of population control - fully transgendered can't procreate. It's a sick world we live in & I'm left to wonder yet again: is our drinking water compromised? Has the government, with it's many competing agencies not joined together yet to find the way to removing medical residue from our water ... that's all the prescription drugs being discarded in the commode and those that passed through our kidneys.

Anyone remember the McMartin case? This seems to be somewhat like that or Munchausen by Proxy. The adults in these situations are driving the narrative whether they realize it or not. Some, I believe, enjoy the notoriety from like minded individuals and enjoy playing the victim. This is all driven by adults who are the one with mental disorders. These kids are doing what they believe pleases their parents. Kids pick up stuff like that easily and act accordingly. The attention they receive becomes almost addictive and both the child and parent feed off each other. Add to the mix affirmation from progressives and celebrities and you have created a trend or phenomenon. It is unfortunate that someone close to them won’t have a serious talk with them about the repercussions of such a life changing decision so early in a child’s life. However, if a parent would even consider allowing a child to make such a decision they are most likely too far gone to listen to reason. The victims in this are the children but we likely won’t see that until they are adults. I agree, this is a type of child abuse and the parents are the ones who need counseling.

"Like Germaine Greer, Linda Bellos, Sheila Jeffreys, and Camille Paglia, I am critical of trans ideology. I take issue with the fact that so many people have been swept up in this transgender wave. The dangers of trying to treat mental ill-health by transitioning from one sex to another cannot be overstated. When every ounce of unhappiness is consolidated into the gender issue, society enters dangerous territory. These are not the words of a bigot or a transphobe. These are the words of someone critically questioning a particularly nefarious cultural trend." Clearer?

Young children are so easily influenced. I knew a reading specialist in the NYC schools who, on visiting classrooms, would ask the children how many of them had seen her on t.v. the night before. Of course all of them had seen her - and they all said she looked beautiful, too. I'm waiting for the intersectionalists to accuse the Trans folk of gender appropriation. That of course would be a huge no-no. Don't know why our leading Conservative speakers haven't seized on that yet. And Poster#11, you have the sympathy of us all. Federal district judges aren't emperors for the whole United States. Congress and the Supreme Court should both remind them of that reality. By issuing putatively national injunctions, Attorney General William Barr said in a May 21 speech to the American Law Institute: “One judge can, in effect, cancel the policy with the stroke of the pen. No official in the United States government [rightly] can exercise that kind of nationwide power, with the sole exception of the president. And the Constitution subjects him to nationwide election, among other constitutional checks, as a prerequisite to wielding that power.” The subject arises because, on issue after issue, liberal district judges

Today’s lesson in political double standards: bankruptcies. When Donald Trump is involved in any brushes with bankruptcy, it just proves what a con man he is, a deadbeat and a scam artist, using his white privilege and toxic masculinity to rip off victims of the evil capitalist system. But now that it turns out the fake Indian, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, may have made millions as a lawyer in assorted corporate, Trump-like bankruptcies, somehow it’s become a wonderful, positive experience. “Bankruptcy law is about coming up with the fairest outcome possible in a difficult system,” the fake Indian’s campaign gushed Wednesday, “and trying to help individuals and businesses get a fresh start.”

Government documents that will soon be made public will reveal stunning information about former U.N. ambassador Samantha Power's voluminous unmasking efforts in 2016, according to multiple sources. On Thursday, President Trump gave Attorney General William Barr the authority to declassify documents from multiple agencies related to surveillance of the Trump campaign in 2016. According to investigative journalist Sara Carter on Fox News' Hannity, last night, some of the documents will reveal that FBI "informant" (spy) Stefan Halper recorded both George Papadopoulos and Carter Page, and there is exculpatory evidence on those tapes. In addition to that, according to Carter, one of the biggest revelations will pertain to Power's unmasking efforts.

When members of your own political party invent a slogan to block your rise to power, it’s likely that you pose a threat to the status quo. In America three years ago, that slogan was #NeverTrump — establishment conservatives’ call to stop Donald Trump from winning the Republican presidential nomination. In Britain now, it’s “Anyone but Boris,” establishment Tories’ rallying cry as they try to stop Boris Johnson from becoming the next prime minister. And like the #NeverTrump movement, their efforts look destined to fail. The two men share several obvious qualities. Both make an art out of chaos, packaging dishevelment and disarray into box-office entertainment.

Over the weekend, Australians reelected their conservative government against all expectations. The race, like many that have taken place in the United States in the last 20 years, illustrated that voters’ very real concern for the environment doesn’t translate to support for environmentalists. Yes, everyone wants a clean environment. But that doesn’t mean they will accept the crazed policies of today’s green Left, which views the planet’s supposedly imminent demise as a good excuse to impose socialism. Australia’s Labor Party campaigned heavily on higher taxes and cuts to greenhouse emissions. Their program was typical of such a platform, involving higher energy prices, huge subsidies for unproven
