Jerry Nadler’s cynical, cowardly show

Original Article

Posted By: MissMolly, 5/22/2019 4:57:46 AM

Jerry Nadler was at it again Tuesday, waxing indignant about former White House counsel Don McGahn’s refusal to testify before the House Judiciary Committee. It’s all a show, meant to keep old news in the headlines, and to appease the large “Impeach Now!” wing of the Democratic Party without actually doing anything. Everyone on Judiciary knows perfectly well that Congress can’t compel testimony from top presidential advisers except in the most extraordinary circumstances: The chief executive’s right to frank, confidential discussions with his staff is well-established. So Nadler’s bluster about how he’ll “go to court to secure” McGahn’s appearance is just noise for the cameras. Then again, that’s all

Comments:

It's all about the cameras, of course.

Say what you will about Nancy Pelosi, she’s smart enough to know that Trump is playing Democrats like a fiddle. I think Trump is daring the DIMS to start impeachment proceedings, because it’s a win for him. They have nothing on him and he’ll make them look like fools. Obama was the one who deserved to be impeached and convicted over the Iran deal, but with the media on his side, it wouldn’t have flown. So if the hot heads in the DIM party get their way, it’s all over for them. As Dirty Harry said, “Go ahead punk...make my day!”

Nadler is such a pompous ass. He represents 1/435th of the US population or about 750,000 people in the New York 10th district. He got 173,000 votes in the 2018 election or about 23% of his district. That works out to about 2.3% of the US population that put this noxiuos, fat windbag into a position of legislative power which he has no idea how to get anything of importance accomplished.

It will be very funny when some young Democrat socialist in the mold of Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez-Cortez takes Jerry Nadler’s Congressional seat in a future election. As time goes by there is little doubt that is going to happen to a lot of the old line White liberal Democrats, as the Democrat Party continues its move leftward in accordance with their ethnic, gender, and racially based identity politics schemes.

If you can believe it, old Jerry used to be even FATTER! He underwent banding surgery for his stomach and lost about 80 pounds. Most of that was probably brains. We all know this is Kabuki theater and meant to turn Trump's supporters. It is nothing more than harassment and Nadler, Pelosi, Schumer, et. al. are in on it. Congress doesn't get to micro-manage the President or his staff and the POTUS does not report to Congress. A real media would say that! Imagine this being done to Obama?

As a taxpayer, I am sick of paying these clowns my hard-earned money to do nothing but pontificate and work for their re-election. Their blazers are bright, but their futures are not. Elite women Democrats have faced a brutal reckoning over the past five years. It seemed, as Barack Obama might have put it, that the arc of history was bending in their direction. Half the electorate are female, and feminist identity politics seemed the natural destination for America’s progressive party. It hasn’t worked out that way. Former secretary of state Hillary Clinton signaled the beginning of the end for the Pantsuit Nation™. The Democratic National Committee (DNC) and the DC media bubble crowned her successor to Barack Obama’s Democratic party and a shoo-in for the presidency. The American electorate disagreed.

U.S. troops last weekend reportedly found themselves in a standoff with Russian forces trying to gain access to key oil fields in northeastern Syria. The Saturday standoff — first reported by Turkish media outlets, citing unnamed local officials in the Turkey-Syria border region — seems to have ended without any shots being fired or any real risk of violence between the two sides. American military personnel reportedly stopped a Russian convoy near the town of Rmelan, and the Russian forces then apparently turned back and returned to their home base. Still, the near-clash serves as a reminder of the high stakes in Syria, where the U.S. military’s mission involves guarding

But last week was a bad week for Harvey Weinstein, the disgraced Hollywood producer, friend of the Clintons, major Democratic donor, and defendant accused of rape, a criminal sex act, and predatory sexual assault. He is 67. If he is found guilty, he faces life in prison. My guess is he will ask for a jail cell near Bill Cosby. They appear to have a lot in common and can swap tales, possibly even swap pictures.

New York magazine’s Ed Kilgore recently offered up yours truly as a prototypical Trump supporter who has ignored the “key lesson from 2016.” Quoting an excerpt from an October article in which I suggested that impeachment enhances Trump’s 2020 prospects when combined with a strong economy and a weak Democratic challenger, he suggested that “triumphalist braying from Trump, his campaign, his party, and his media allies, will persuade some of his own voters that he’s already won, so it’s safe to spend Election Day in other pursuits.” Kilgore obviously believes that such complacency in the HRC camp caused Trump’s 2016 victory.
