Jerry Nadler’s cynical, cowardly show

Original Article

Posted By: MissMolly, 5/22/2019 4:57:46 AM

Jerry Nadler was at it again Tuesday, waxing indignant about former White House counsel Don McGahn’s refusal to testify before the House Judiciary Committee. It’s all a show, meant to keep old news in the headlines, and to appease the large “Impeach Now!” wing of the Democratic Party without actually doing anything. Everyone on Judiciary knows perfectly well that Congress can’t compel testimony from top presidential advisers except in the most extraordinary circumstances: The chief executive’s right to frank, confidential discussions with his staff is well-established. So Nadler’s bluster about how he’ll “go to court to secure” McGahn’s appearance is just noise for the cameras. Then again, that’s all

It's all about the cameras, of course.

Say what you will about Nancy Pelosi, she’s smart enough to know that Trump is playing Democrats like a fiddle. I think Trump is daring the DIMS to start impeachment proceedings, because it’s a win for him. They have nothing on him and he’ll make them look like fools. Obama was the one who deserved to be impeached and convicted over the Iran deal, but with the media on his side, it wouldn’t have flown. So if the hot heads in the DIM party get their way, it’s all over for them. As Dirty Harry said, “Go ahead punk...make my day!”

Nadler is such a pompous ass. He represents 1/435th of the US population or about 750,000 people in the New York 10th district. He got 173,000 votes in the 2018 election or about 23% of his district. That works out to about 2.3% of the US population that put this noxiuos, fat windbag into a position of legislative power which he has no idea how to get anything of importance accomplished.

It will be very funny when some young Democrat socialist in the mold of Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez-Cortez takes Jerry Nadler’s Congressional seat in a future election. As time goes by there is little doubt that is going to happen to a lot of the old line White liberal Democrats, as the Democrat Party continues its move leftward in accordance with their ethnic, gender, and racially based identity politics schemes.

If you can believe it, old Jerry used to be even FATTER! He underwent banding surgery for his stomach and lost about 80 pounds. Most of that was probably brains. We all know this is Kabuki theater and meant to turn Trump's supporters. It is nothing more than harassment and Nadler, Pelosi, Schumer, et. al. are in on it. Congress doesn't get to micro-manage the President or his staff and the POTUS does not report to Congress. A real media would say that! Imagine this being done to Obama?

As a taxpayer, I am sick of paying these clowns my hard-earned money to do nothing but pontificate and work for their re-election. I don’t understand this as a matter of basic political strategy, but then I haven’t understood Beto’s strategy from day one. When he entered the race (before he entered, in fact) he was savaged by the left as a fake progressive. They feared that Betomania would spread from Texas to the national Democratic electorate and usurp their dreams of a Bernie Sanders presidency, so they unloaded on him. That should have been a clue to him that he would never succeed in winning them over, in which case he’d be better off positioning himself as a center-left candidate aiming for moderates. Ghislaine Maxwell, the socialite on Jeffrey Epstein’s arm, was, for many years, the financier’s right-hand woman and best friend. She was also, allegedly, his lure, go-between, and fellow abuser of young women, as newly unsealed documents allege. With Epstein’s death, by suicide, in a Manhattan jail cell this weekend, thousands of questions may never have satisfactory answers and focus is likely to intensify on his collaborators, co-conspirators, enablers, and friends. Where is Ghislaine? Maxwell, 57, has barely been seen in New York since she sold her townhouse in 2016.

These claims come from nearly a huge tranche of documents recently unsealed by the United States Second Circuit Court of Appeals related to the defamation lawsuit filed by Epstein victim Virginia Roberts Giuffre against his associate Ghislaine Maxwell. At present, the federal government mandates that an instant background check be run prior to the completion of all commercial and interstate firearms transactions. This being so, the argument runs, there can be nothing wrong with Washington extending that rule to private transfers,

You can’t get so much as an aspirin without authorization. In most jails, you can’t wear a belt, or shoelaces, or keep a razor in your cell. You have no privacy, no sense of dignity, and no rights. And in a well-run jail, high-profile prisoners have virtually no chance of killing themselves. So the alleged suicide of Jeffrey Epstein, the 66-year-old financier with powerful American and foreign friends who was about to stand trial for allegedly sexually abusing dozens of girls, many of them underage,
