President Trump and his extravagant ego are both out of line in their insistence that he be in charge of, make a speech at, and further increase the already huge size of the annual Independence Day celebration in Washington, D.C. The problem is not so much the idea, in theory, that a nation’s head of state should lead the celebration of the nation’s birthday, in a sort of apolitical way. Instead, the first of several problems is that in the United States, the head of state is also a partisan political leader, and thus by his very nature,

Good golly, another toxic screed from a nevertrump blowhard. Yeah, if only our president would imitate that sublimely non-partisan living god, barry obummer. And seriously?! the show is run by: The chairman of the House Appropriations Committee. Sure, that´s who I think of when I survey the glorious history of the USA.

Of course, he shouldn´t but out. He´s the President. He´s an American. He loves our country. I´m not going to Washington, D.C. to celebrate the 4th. I´m not going to "watch TV" to celebrate the 4th. I´m going to celebrate with my family, and my townspeople in the my little town in Maine. We have public fireworks the evening of July 3. We have a community parade in the morning. Picnics and barbecues with our families during the day and a privately paid for fireworks on the lake in the evening...

Trump should "butt in" to Independence Day celebrations. Trump voters are also celebrating independence of squishy RINO´s, Beltway donors, DemocRATs and the Hollywood Globalist elitist nitwits. Celebrating the fact that Trump IS making America great again is as American as apple pie! 2020!!!

I’d like it to be more than just fireworks. Our nation was created by a fight for our Independence from the strongest military nation on earth at the time. And has been maintained by blood and courage of American soldiers many times since - War of 1812 and WW2 and Cold War. Now we have a War on ignorance and mis-education about Socialism. The Commander in Chief - the current one - that loves this country, has ideas to make it better.

And if he didn´t participate in some way he would be criticized for that. These people should be called Saran Wrap because they are so transparent.

This nation requires a leader like Donald Trump to bring us all together again and celebrate our Americanness and our unquie heritage and ties that bind us; particularly the children who are being brainwashed by the left to hate our country.
Democrats hate America and NeverTrumpers are foolish losers ... so I say Go Donald Go!!! Let’s have a YUGE independence Day celebration!! (Oh and three of my ancestors signed the Declaration; I know precisely how important this is).
NeverTrumpers are completely irrelevant, and today’s Democrat Socialists must be utterly defeated. Having our Head of State celebrate our birth is a GREAT idea.

Politicians do what politicians do...what´s the big deal? Frankly, I´d like to see him make a series of appearances around the nation to discuss our future based on our history and especially our founding.
It´s time we "nation build" in the USA, revitalize the civic and personal concepts of liberty and responsibility, and reaffirm that these gifts, endowed by our Creator, must be honored and affirmed as generational patrimony, defended and not diluted by open borders and social justice gibberish.

We always watch this Independence Day Celebration. It´s fabulous! I think where they have it now works well, it´s a Beautiful Spot. I don´t see anything wrong with our President saying a "few words". I don´t think he should steal the Show, but his speaking as the Patriot he is, would certainly add to the evening!

I hope PRESIDENT Trump helps Americans celebrate the 4 th of July all day. He will pledge allegiance to the flag and put his hand over his heart. He will not make stupid remark about all the fuss over a flag! He participates because he loves this country and his fellow Americans. PRESIDENT Trump is Helping the USA celebrate a Norman Rockwell Independence Day. That’s fine by me!

The 4th is a birthday when we honor and give thanks for our country. What kind of birthday and celebration is it when we apologize for America´s existence, tear down our country and say it was never great? Obama did all that and made every honor ceremony about himself. That is the type of person you do not want at someone´s birthday celebration.

No, Quin. Getting rid of President Trump´s tremendous ego would be a total disaster! We need to get out of his way so that he can continue to help millions and millions of Americans enjoy greater freedom and prosperity, and bring billions and billions into our economy. He´s doing a terrific job making our country great again, and there are some very bad people trying to stop him. Believe me.

Man this writer is full of the finest quality dumb. Reagan would have been right in there with Trump on this. Reagan and Trump were and are two leaders who understand that Americans want to be proud of their country, and the 4th is the perfect day for doing just that. There is nothing wrong with being proud to be American, and it is the lack of that that is causing us grief right now.

I think President Trump and the First Lady should dress as Uncle Sam and Lady Liberty have the Marines bring two big 75mm howitzers to the white house lawn and fire a salvo at Gerry Nadler´s committee just for giggles. That would make us all celebrate and be happy.
Another anti-Trump jerkweed telling us what to do with our 4th of July celebration.

The author and people like him must be scared. The idea of educating Americans on freedom and liberty, according to Quin Hillyer, shouldn´t happen.
For how many years did we hear the phrase, "he must be a politician so he must be lying?" It almost seemed acceptable.
Well, years later and average Americans are shaking themselves off wondering what hit them. Corruption, no accountability, special committees for this and that, tax dollars being used elsewhere, and whatever else can be added to the list.
It is time for someone to make this country great again and keep it great. I think Donald Trump is perfect for that someone. No, Quin Hillyer, he should not butt out. . .

I like the idea of the president being both seen and speaking to We, the People on America´s birthday. I think it is just and fitting to have the leader of this great nation LEAD us in a unifying way on a very special American Holiday.
Damn democrats are still having a hissy fit over a one Donald John Trump.

If anybody should be there it´s the President of the United States of America. Trump is the most patriotic President We have had for years.
The media fawned on the last two grifters who hate this country and our freedoms and milked US for all it´s worth.
