The sitting vice president is hard to figure out. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) said the other day that nearly 80 million people specifically voted for Donald Trump, and thus it was incumbent on Republicans to pass the SAVE America Act and other legislation that the president supports. Tuberville was right about Trump: many, if not most, of those who voted in 2024 for Donald Trump did so because of the man. Considering the scorn, bordering on hatred, heaped upon our European allies by some on the right, it is a bit rich claiming that Israel is the focal point of abuse. Vance recognizes that Israel is but one of our allies and extremely useful in the Middle East. Its influence globally is nil. While I believe the vast majority of the right supports our president in thoroughly defeating Iran that support doesn’t necessarily translate into unquestionable support of Israel’s own parochial goals. Vance reflects that reality.

United States authorities continue to identify Iranian regime assets in the United States as that regime refuses to make any peace deal with the “great Satan” America. The latest arrest is an Iranian who obtained lawful residency here, even though it turns out she was trafficking arms for the murderous mullahs back home. Shamim Mafi became a lawful permanent resident of our country back in 2016, but since our immigration system has long been broken and many foreign criminals and terrorists have slipped through the cracks, it is not entirely shocking to find out she remained loyal —

There was some controversy this week about President Donald Trump being critical of Pope Leo for being weak on crime and his remarks about the U.S. military action in Iran. The pope had made prior comments about immigration and the military action against Iran that were critical of the Trump administration's actions before Trump's remarks. But then the media seemed to be trying to interpret a variety of remarks he made after Trump's criticism as an effort to attack Trump and promote controversy. As we reported earlier, Pope Leo attempted to set the record straight,

This week seems to be rife with journalistic malpractice from outlets either running with leaked and unsubstantiated material that tries and fails to put Trump administration officials in a bad light or works to erode and undermine our nation's institutional bodies of governance. The latest installment from The New York Times involves leaked memos from the United States Supreme Court, verified by more anonymous sources. Amazing how one can fail so spectacularly on this basic tenet of integrity. God help us.Nor should they. As RedState reported in February, Chief Justice Roberts took action to secure the integrity of the court's processes after the 2022 leak —

President Trump announced on Sunday that the U.S. has taken custody of an Iranian ship. "Today, an Iranian-flagged cargo ship named TOUSKA, nearly 900 feet long and weighing almost as much as an aircraft carrier, tried to get past our Naval Blockade, and it did not go well for them. The U.S. Navy Guided Missile Destroyer USS SPRUANCE intercepted the TOUSKA in the Gulf of Oman, and gave them fair warning to stop," he wrote on social media. "The Iranian crew refused to listen, so our Navy ship stopped them right in their tracks by blowing a hole in the engineroom. Right now, U.S. Marines have custody of the vessel.

The Perils of a Grand Bargain with Iran 0 replies

Both the president and vice president have thrown out the term “grand bargain” in recent days to describe their aspirations for a deal with the Iranian rump regime. It’s a term fraught with past failures that screams Iranian deception, not the interests of America First. Bill Clinton was the first to use the phrase toward the end of his second term to describe his aspiration to end a low-intensity conflict that had been simmering for 20 years. He appointed David R. Andrews as “Special Negotiator” for the mostly secret talks. Just as today,

It looks like the judicial lawfare against Team Trump is passing its peak, as feral federal jurists get slapped down and state justices learn they can’t break the law to serve the Resistance. Wednesday saw the comeuppance of obsessive anti-Trump Judge James Boasberg, the DC Circuit Court judge who’d repeatedly arrogated to himself the authority to overrule the president on national immigration policy. In March 2025, he issued an emergency order stopping any deportation of illegal immigrants to El Salvador. Team Trump complied, but a plane bearing some deportees was already out of US airspace before the order came down;

Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar blamed an accounting “discrepancy” for errors in a financial disclosure that listed her net worth at up to $30 million – while doubling down that she is not a millionaire, a report said. The lefty “Squad” lawmaker – facing fraud probe calls from President Trump – insisted the initial figures in a disclosure filed last May were completely off-base, as an amended filing now shows shared assets with her husband of up to just $95,000, according to The Wall Street Journal. “The amended disclosure confirms what we’ve said all along: The congresswoman is not a millionaire,” her spokesperson, Jacklyn Rogers, told the outlet.

Ten House Republicans joined Democrats on Thursday evening to keep roughly 350,000 Haitian nationals in the United States on Temporary Protected Status (TPS) despite the Trump administration seeking to end the quasi-amnesty. The House passed the measure, led by Reps. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) and Laura Gillen (D-NY), after advancing the bill through a discharge petition maneuver, with help from half a dozen Republicans. Essentially, the bill would keep about 350,000 Haitians in the U.S. via TPS just as President Donald Trump fights in the Supreme Court to end the quasi-amnesty. The 10 House Republicans who joined Democrats to defy the Trump administration and move the bill to the Senate are:

Everything about California Governor Gavin Newsom is fake. Even the numbers on his book sales. His new book is being touted by his allies as a best seller, but the main reason it’s selling so well is because his own political action committee has spent upwards of $1.5 million buying thousands of copies of it. That’s one way to get on the New York Times best seller list. It’s not honest, but it’ll probably work. Not a single thing about this man is genuine. The office of Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., is saying that the figures on a previously filed financial disclosure that showed a net worth of up to $30 million were due to an accounting error and don't reflect her actual financial situation with her husband Tim Mynett. The original disclosure prompted criticism and calls from some GOP critics for further investigation. Since then, Omar submitted an amended filing showing much lower assets of about $18,000 and $95,000. According to her office, the discrepancy was the result of incorrect valuations from financial professionals tied to her husband’s business interests, including a venture capital firm and a winery in California.

Trump administration officials agreed on Monday to allow the “pride” flag at the Stonewall National Monument in New York City to fly once more. The change comes after the Trump administration had removed the flag earlier this year, a move which immediately sparked legal challenges from LGBT activist groups. The Department of the Interior had directed the National Park Service to remove the controversial flag, contending that non-agency flags could not be officially flown, according to a report from CBS News. But the policy provoked a lawsuit against Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, the National Park Service, and other defendants.

Amidst the ongoing conflict in Iran, a major political event took place in the United States on April 16, 2026, that deserves more attention and scrutiny than the mainstream media will likely devote to it. The event to which I refer to is the victory of Analilia Mejia in the New Jersey special election for congressional district 11. Mejia’s decisive win in the seat formerly held by New Jersey governor Mikie Sherrill should send political shockwaves because I think it is more than fair to say that she will likely be perhaps the most socialistic member of Congress. When asked if she would join “The Squad” shortly before the election,

CAIRO — The standoff over the Strait of Hormuz quickly escalated again Saturday as Iran reversed its reopening of the crucial waterway and fired on ships attempting to pass, in retaliation after the United States pressed ahead with its blockade choking off Iranian ports. Confusion over the strait, through which roughly one-fifth of the world’s oil passes, threatened to deepen the energy crisis roiling the global economy and push the two countries toward renewed conflict. The ceasefire between them is due to run out by mid-next week, and Pakistani mediators were working to put together a new round of direct negotiations to keep the truce going.

Two months later, the body run by Republican Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., has not complied, slowing a key angle of a grand jury investigation based in Fort Pierce, Fla., into whether Obama and Biden-era government officials engaged in a conspiracy —

Shreveport Police Corporal Chris Bordelon told reporters officers were first dispatched just after 6 a.m. to reports of gunfire in the 300 block of West 79th Street, where they located the initial scene. As officers canvassed the area, they discovered additional connected locations, including one on Harrison Street, all tied to the same domestic disturbance.
