Unless Virginia voters reject the new congressional district plan created and passed by a Democrat legislature and signed by a “moderate” Democrat governor, Republicans are set to lose four congressional seats they currently hold. The new map allows only one of Virginia’s 11 districts to be represented by a Republican, despite Republicans representing almost half of the Virginia electorate. Meanwhile, Republicans in Indiana refused to redraw their congressional maps because of “principle.” The contrast between Indiana and Virginia gets to the heart of the GOP’s biggest problem.

It's always farcical - - to put the words "Pubbies" and "realize" in the same sentence. If the Pubbies could realize anything - - they wouldn't be Pubbies.

Republicans Will Keep Losing Until They learn to fight dirtier than Democrats. This is no place for the timid. We need gutter fighters, not RINO Boy Scouts. Take a lesson from Patton - hold them by the nose, slit their throats from behind. The proper position for negotiating with Democrats is your boot on their neck and your bayonet in their ear.

Power isn't evil, it reveals. I have slightly more faith in Republicans being less corrupt than democrats. Republicans are less obvious in their corruption. Where I get suspicious is when any politician is constantly ladder climbing and seeks to remain in power past the depends wearing stage.

As British Prime Minister Keir Starmer faces calls to resign for his appointment of Epstein-tied Peter Mandelson as ambassador to the United States, one is struck by the sudden instability of British governments. In the 28 years between 1979 and 2007, Britain had only three prime ministers, while in the 19 years since 2007, it has had seven, and may soon have eight. Only one of those, David Cameron, carried his party to a reelection victory, and he resigned a year after being beaten in the Brexit referendum. It's not just leaders who have stumbled. Even historically long-lasting parties have.

On Wednesday evening, the US House of Representatives voted to once again pass the SAVE America Act, the critical legislation that requires proof of citizenship and voter ID to vote in federal elections. The final vote was 218-213, with only one brave Democrat, Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX), crossing the aisle to vote in favor of protecting our elections. But the real battle is in the Senate, and the momentum is shifting fast. Just days ago, Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) tried to dump cold water on the bill, reportedly dismissing the effort by claiming, “There aren’t anywhere close to the votes.” Thune, who initially hadn’t even signed on—
Scott Bessent Floats Senate Banking Committee

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is signaling that if there is to be an investigation into Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, it should come from Congress rather than the Justice Department. According to exclusive reporting from Semafor, Bessent raised in a closed-door meeting with Senate Republicans the idea that the Senate Banking Committee could investigate Powell rather than leaving the matter to federal prosecutors. This is not a minor procedural debate. It is a fight over whether scrutiny of the Federal Reserve is framed as a criminal matter or as congressional oversight, and that distinction carries real political and constitutional weight.

California gubernatorial candidate Steve Hilton has claimed $370 million in state funds meant for substance abuse programs instead went to helping the Democrats. The staggering sum, sourced from the California Cannabis Tax Fund, was sent to a tangled web of organizations that “build the Democrat voter base,” Hilton’s unofficial CAL DOGE alleged. The cash, collected whenever anyone buys marijuana in the Golden State, ended up with 517 companies who got checks averaging $700,000, the group alleged. The money was controlled by Elevate Youth California, which was supposed to send taxes raised from cannabis sales under Prop 64 to support substance abuse programs in the state.

A year after Vice President JD Vance stunned assembled dignitaries at the same venue with a verbal assault on many of America’s closest allies in Europe, accusing them of imperiling Western civilization with left-leaning domestic —

The Trump-Noem Department of Homeland Security chalked up an important court victory this week revoking a label used to hide how many illegal aliens entered America under the Biden administration. The Trump administration terminated temporary protected status (TPS) for Honduran, Nepalese, and Nicaraguan aliens, and the court was to decide whether this was the right thing to do. The United States has been giving nationals of these three countries TPS based on excuses that are more than a decade old and no longer apply. It was simply another way to import huge numbers of foreigners while pretending they were semi-legal immigrants.

My brilliant colleague Athena Thorne wrote about the Big Left's big tears over lower public school enrollment numbers; if you haven't read it, you should check it out. Everyone in the education space knows that public funding is tied to butts in seats and, with President Trump's administration enforcing laws regarding immigration, illegal alien students are dropping out or not attending school. Additionally, thanks to the border finally being closed, the waves of illegal immigrants coming into America are plummeting.

Federal employment dropped to 2,686,000 in January 2026, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. That number has not appeared in federal labor data since Lyndon B. Johnson was in the White House. The Bureau’s “All Employees, Federal” series confirms it. We have not seen staffing levels this low since May 1966.For a long time, the working assumption in Washington was that the federal government only grows. Agencies expand. Programs multiply. Headcount inches upward year after year. Rarely does it move the other way. This time, it did. The change took shape during President Donald Trump’s second term, when he signed an executive order establishing the Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE.

Evanston’s Reparations Committee announced last week that 44 people will be getting $25,000 each, for a total of $1.1 million, according to the Chicago Tribune. All 44 are descendants of individuals who qualify under the city’s program that pays out reparations to black residents who claimed they experienced housing discrimination between 1919 and 1969. The payments are intended to be used for housing expenses, Cynthia Vargas, Evanston’s communications and community engagement manager, said.

A horrible tragedy occurred yesterday in Canada when a killer, later identified as a “trans identifying woman,” shot nine people to death and injured 27 others, before turning the gun on himself. The Canadian establishment has been desperate to hide the truth about the shooter, but this was not a secret the establishment could sit on. The shooting took place at the Tumbler Ridge Secondary School in tiny Tumbler Ridge, a remote rural community in British Columbia. The killer began by murdering two people at a home, then headed for the secondary school (grades 7-12), where he opened fire. Six people died on school grounds, and one died en route

Ford announced significant financial losses for 2025 driven by its struggling electric vehicle division, with the automaker projecting continued losses in the segment for at least three more years. The New York Times reports that Ford Motor Company reported substantial financial losses this week, primarily attributed to its electric vehicle operations, as the automaker significantly restructures its EV strategy. The company’s electric vehicle division lost $4.8 billion in 2025 and is projected to lose between $4 billion and $4.5 billion in 2026, with profitability not expected until approximately 2029. The announcement marks a dramatic reversal for Ford, which several years ago positioned itself as a leader among traditional automakers by rapidly introducing

The Trump administration on Thursday revoked a landmark scientific finding that serves as the legal foundation for federal regulations to limit greenhouse gas emissions, in a devastating blow to efforts to combat climate change. The Environmental Protection Agency's endangerment finding, established under President Barack Obama in 2009, classified carbon dioxide, methane and four other greenhouse gases as a threat to public health and welfare. It underpins regulations under the Clean Air Act that set emissions standards and rules for cars and light trucks, power plants, and oil and gas industry facilities. "Under the process just completed by the EPA, we are officially terminating the so-called endangerment finding,"

A San Diego children’s hospital has been ordered to continue providing gender-affirming care to minors —despite a previous effort from the hospital to end the programs to save its federal funding. Rady Children’s Health must continue providing the care, which includes therapies like puberty-blockers and hormone treatments, to patients under 19 until at least March 10, in a ruling from San Diego Superior Court Judge Matthew Braner Wednesday. The decision comes amid a heated legal fight between the hospital and the California Attorney General’s Office. The AJ sued Rady after it announced it would stop offering the treatments and procedures.
