Democrats have a natural advantage going into the midterms. Their voters are in a frenzy, and the midterms have historically favored the out-of-power party. Presidential years tend to be high-turnout elections, and off-years not so much. And since elections are won by margins, every bit of voter motivation matters. Getting a larger share of your voters to the polls can make all the difference, even in situations where the majority of people disagree with you. You need the majority of people who VOTE to win, not the majority of people who have an opinion. With all that said, the Democrats face one very big problem:

We have been funding our own demise for decades with those NGOs. Honestly, I think the days of "campaign cash is king" are over. Everyone used to watch the same 3 channels and the political ads were constant. Now people get their news from like-minded sources so the impact of campaign ads is much less. Robocalls are cheap. People don't trust how funds are being used, so only those wanting a politician in their pocket give big money to a campaign. Getting people out to vote is more impactful. Which is why the democrats want the illegals in this country and at the polls.

The main premise, that the dems are hurting for money, is clearly true and, while how much that matters is unclear, it does matter. But there are other structural weaknesses in the Left. Their propaganda arm, the media, has crashed and burned. They. also, are in major financial straits. Many of them have suffered from lawsuits with big payouts and THAT is a big concern for their lawyers and management. Their credibility is digging for zero and they no longer control the power of persuasion. Younger reporters are loud and proud but seem to be stupid. Yelling your opinion doesn't make you right and is an audience turnoff, especially to the mushy middle voters who get upset with brashness. Trump used to have a problem with that but is MUCH better. The media and the Left in general seems to have the idea that they are guerrilla fighters and that they can win votes with aggression. Guess what, you already own the Left and you are not going to win the middle or the Right by ugly actions. Then there is the reality that Trump has made major inroads in eliminating the Deep State. That robs the Left of "the voice of authority" they could use no matter who was President. Trump has clear sailing at firing people he doesn't want in government. It's like whack-a-mole. Deep Staters pop up, POW, no more job or authority. All agencies are now under Trump's control. The Left has lost their money and their effective voice. When Trump speaks, people listen. And they believe because Trump has a growing record of impressive success. Trump is also a master at understanding issues and dealing with them. The Minnesota mess was a Leftist run at building an election issue. Trump dealt with it, even though he was doing nothing wrong, and the issue has collapsed like a punctured balloon. Winning midterms for the party in power is hard but all the pieces are in place for a Republican win. We just need to get the RINOs and stupid people out of the way.

Here's what alarms me: Democrats have lost a yuuuge amount of money and yet, they keep winning (read "stealing") elections. Don't be assuaged by the fact they're low on $. They more than make up for it in cheating and that battle isn't over.

Democrats lose when they can't lie, cheat, and steal tax money to buy their way into power.

The U.S. Department of Justice announced that its Civil Rights Division lodged a new lawsuit against Harvard University, alleging that the Ivy League institution illegally withheld admissions material needed to decide whether the school is continuing to discriminate in the admissions process despite a 2023 Supreme Court ruling. "Under President Trump’s leadership, this Department of Justice is demanding better from our nation’s educational institutions," Attorney General Pam Bondi said in a statement. "Harvard has failed to disclose the data we need to ensure that its admissions are free of discrimination — we will continue fighting to put merit over DEI across America."

The Fifth Circuit just handed Texas a major win on ballot harvesting, reversing a lower court and allowing the state’s ban on paid in-person ballot harvesting to take effect. The ruling clears the way for enforcement of a key provision in S.B. 1, the 2021 election integrity law signed by Gov. Greg Abbott (R). The statute targets compensated political operatives who interact with voters while they are physically handling ballots. The law defines “vote harvesting services” as: “in-person interaction with one or more voters, in the physical presence of an official ballot or a ballot voted by mail, intended to deliver votes for a specific candidate or measure.”

Consumer prices rose 2.4 percent over the past year and 0.2 percent in January alone, according to data released Friday by the Labor Department. The latest consumer price index (CPI) report, which was delayed by the brief government shutdown earlier this month, showed inflation coming in below expectations. Economists expected the annual inflation rate to fall to 2.5 percent in January from 2.7 percent in December, and monthly inflation to hold steady at 0.3 percent, according to consensus estimates. The new inflation figures are a boost to President Trump and Republicans as they face pressure to show progress against rising prices.

Yesterday I wrote about concerns from economists that the quick adoption of AI might mean a significant disruption of the job market. There seemed to be a wary realization that AI was probably going to do away with some jobs permanently but whether that change would necessarily create a crisis in the marketplace depended on how fast the change happened. If it took ten years, they the economy would adjust. If it took half that, we might have a problem. Today, Axios has a story highlighting concerns coming not from economists but from people inside the AI industry, several of whom have recently expressed serious concern about how fast things were

It's time for another look at the Protection Racket Media and the trust its consumers have in their product. And as Chubby Checker once sang, how low can you go? Before we get to the data, let's set the context. The Washington Post just shed a third of its employees as both revenue and readership have cratered in the last few years. CNN has lost two-thirds of its audience. Previous surveys show trust in media somewhere below used-car sales agents and slightly above Congress. Meanwhile, Paramount put CBS News in the hands of Bari Weiss to rescue them from last place in broadcast news, and just like at the WaPo and

“The vice president asked me to call you.” That’s a new pitch line Republican National Committee finance operatives are deploying this cycle, thanks to JD Vance’s unprecedented role as the party’s finance chairman — the first sitting vice president to hold the position. President Trump blessed the arrangement last March, tapping his second in command as the party’s chief fundraiser. Now, as the campaign season accelerates, Vance is ready to prove his worth. The vice president will headline high-dollar events in Manhattan on February 17 and McLean, Va., on March 3, National Review has learned.

The Trump administration on Thursday revoked a landmark scientific finding that serves as the legal foundation for federal regulations to limit greenhouse gas emissions, in a devastating blow to efforts to combat climate change. The Environmental Protection Agency's endangerment finding, established under President Barack Obama in 2009, classified carbon dioxide, methane and four other greenhouse gases as a threat to public health and welfare. It underpins regulations under the Clean Air Act that set emissions standards and rules for cars and light trucks, power plants, and oil and gas industry facilities. "Under the process just completed by the EPA, we are officially terminating the so-called endangerment finding,"

According to emails obtained by the great people at Protect the Public’s Trust (PPT), reporters from The New York Times and Politico worked alongside the Biden-Harris administration’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to try and concoct a record of climate leadership for then-Vice President Kamala Harris’s failed campaign. And, when it was all over, one fretted to their fellow liberals about the agency’s future under President Trump. On the latter example, reporter Kevin Bogardus — who works for Politico’s E&E News — fretted on January 6 that he was “reaching out to former EPA officials who served in Democratic and Republican administrations to hear

Homan last week had announced a drawdown of 700 agents from the area encompassing Minneapolis and St. Paul, a roughly 25% pullback

Rady Children’s Health must continue providing the care, which includes therapies like puberty-blockers and hormone treatments, to patients under 19 until at least March 10, in a ruling from San Diego Superior Court Judge Matthew Braner Wednesday. The decision comes amid a heated legal fight between the hospital and the California Attorney General’s Office. The AJ sued Rady after it announced it would stop offering the treatments and procedures.
