Virginia Judge Blocks Democrats' Redistricting
Push Ahead Of Midterms

Original Article

A Virginia state judge on Tuesday blocked plans by the state's Democratic lawmakers to use a new map this year before November's midterm elections, objecting to the redistricting push on procedural grounds. (snip) State law requires a constitutional amendment to be passed in the state legislature twice, with an election intervening between the sessions, in order to go before voters. But Hurley ruled that the first passage of the amendment did not take place before the state's 2025 elections because early voting had already begun.

Comments:

Virginia Democrats are "hoist with their own petard" since they are responsible for Virginia's lengthy early voting period. They are appealing this decision, likely to a "federal judge north of Richmond."

Democrats claim that Republicans are trying to prevent people from voting by stopping an illegal redistricting attempt. Nobody is being stopped from voting. The only thing stopped is the Democrat's illegal attempt to change voting districts and ignoring state laws. Apparently they suddenly believe that court decisions don't apply to them.

Democrats are rapidly turning Virginia into a liberal hellhole. After campaigning on how she would address affordability, their new Governor is immediately raising taxes significantly on everyone. Now they’re aiming to make their takeover permanent. That is the goal of redistricting. The voters are getting what they asked for.

Another government shutdown looks increasingly likely by the end of the week. Democrats are demanding that major changes to Department of Homeland Security enforcement policy be written directly into the budget agreement. Those changes would largely shut down President Trump's deportation efforts. Democrats have also demanded body cameras for ICE agents, even though the current budget proposal already funds them. (snip) Democrats have one goal in mind: Stop Trump from deporting illegal aliens.
