Two members of the Jewish community who were barricading a synagogue as it was being attacked by a knifeman may have been shot through the door by police taking out the alleged terrorist, it has been revealed.
Armed officers responding to an ongoing terror attack may have inadvertently killed one innocent victim and wounded another through overpenetration of rounds intended for the perpetrator, Greater Manchester Police have said. On Thursday, a man now identified as what police describe as a “British citizen of Syrian descent” called Jihad Al-Shamie drove a car into worshippers outside the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue in north Manchester.

Marine Le Pen and her National Rally deputy Jordan Bardella have “firmly established dominance” over the field of prospective candidates to replace French President Emmanuel Macron, according to the latest survey from Ifop.
While uncertainty reigns over the next presidential election in France, with it being unclear if President Macron will last till the end of his second and final term, and whether the current frontrunner, Marine Le Pen, will legally be permitted to run or not, it does appear to be clear that the populist National Rally party has a clear edge over Macron’s neo-liberal faction and those on the left.

Never trust a politician who promises to help the poor by taking from the rich. It never works. Joe Biden proved this point.
While still in the White House, Biden promised that if reelected, he would levy a billionaire tax on the wealthiest Americans. It wasn’t the first time. During his 2023 State of the Union address, he railed that “the tax system is not fair, it’s not fair.” A year earlier, he proposed a “billionaire minimum income tax.”
Even before he was president, Biden was fond of demanding that the rich pay their “fair share,”

Donald Trump has floated the idea of giving Americans a $2,000 dividend, using money generated through his controversial tariff policy.
The president continues to claim the benefits of his economic plan despite widespread criticism, telling One America News Network that America’s $37 trillion national debt is “very little, relatively speaking” because of his “Liberation Day” tariffs.
In the same interview, he said that his tariffs will generate “trillion dollars a year”. Since April, tariff revenues have raised around $214 billion.

President Trump said Thursday that he’s still weighing the idea of giving Americans up to $2,000 in rebates derived from the revenues his tariff agenda has generated.
Trump’s proposal to share some of the hundreds of billions of dollars the federal government has collected since he slapped foreign nations with steep levies in April, comes as the Supreme Court is slated to hear arguments in a case next month that will decide whether the president has the power to impose sweeping global tariffs.
“They’re just starting to kick in,” Trump said of the tariffs in an interview with One America News Network,

The school district superintendent arrested by ICE this week lied about attending MIT and was the subject of two sex discrimination lawsuits, The Post has learned.
Snappy-dresser Ian Andre Roberts, 51, was fired by Des Moines Public Schools after it emerged he was working illegally and had been avoiding a deportation order.
Roberts spent over twenty years bouncing around the nation’s education system, holding top posts from coast-to-coast, but also proved controversial.
“He ruined our district for three years,” a former colleague in the state told The Post. “He was very smooth, affable, but the overarching feeling you got from him was smoke and mirrors, mystique.”

A group of roughly 1,200 migrants has begun the long march from Mexico’s southern border with Guatemala in hopes of reaching Mexico’s capital city. The group has made clear they are hoping to receive asylum status in Mexico City and deny any intention of heading to the United States. A Spanish-language report in Agencia EFE, the leading Spanish-language news agency, described the group as consisting of hundreds of Cubans, Hondurans, Guatemalans, Salvadorans, Venezuelans, and Haitians. The intention of the group, according to EFE, was to seek better employment opportunities than those found along the southern border of Mexico in the state of Chiapas.

In a highly unusual move, a federal judge on Thursday recused himself from Oregon’s lawsuit against the Trump Administration over the activation of its National Guard to quell the violence directed toward ICE agents.
US District Judge Michael Simon, an Obama appointee, at the request of the DOJ, recused himself due to a conflict of interest involving his wife, Democrat Rep. Suzanne Bonamici.
Rep. Bonamici has publicly stated she is against troop deployment to Portland.
Judge Karin Immergut, a Trump appointee, will now oversee the case.

The Trump administration is tapping National Guard and Army Reserve lawyers to be temporary immigration judges after firing dozens of existing judges, the latest step in a broader plan that experts warn could harm immigration courts and the military justice system.
Training for the first group of Army lawyers begins Monday and training for the second group is expected to start in the spring, several former and current military reserve lawyers said they were told. Roughly 100 Army Reserve lawyers are expected to participate, with 50 beginning a nearly six-month assignment immediately after their training,

Kyiv has pitched Washington on ways it could help the US replace Russia in oil sales to Europe — as President Trump pushes the continent to divest from Moscow’s energy sector to end its brutal war on Ukraine, The Post can exclusively reveal.
Pipelines deep beneath Ukraine’s surface could help funnel fuel either drilled in the country through the US-Ukraine mineral deal or shipped in from the US, Ukrainian Energy Minister Svitlana Grynchuk told The Post.
The potential partnership means American oil companies could replace Moscow in Europe’s energy sector.

The American people have woken up to the dangerous and hateful fraud that is the legacy media. According to Gallup, which has measured trust in mass media for 50 years, that trust just hit another record low. Only 28 percent trust the corporate media. Tee hee.
“Americans’ confidence in the mass media has edged down to a new low, with just 28% expressing a ‘great deal’ or ‘fair amount’ of trust in newspapers, television and radio to report the news fully, accurately and fairly,” reports Gallup.
“This is down from 31% last year and 40% five years ago.”
Tee hee.

The government of Russia confirmed on Wednesday that it would entirely disregard United Nations “snapback” sanctions on Iran reimposed this week after the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) ruled Iran in violation of international laws governing nuclear development. Russia’s U.N. Ambassador, Vassily Nebenzia, said that the other members of the countries signing onto the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), or 2015 Iran nuclear deal, who agreed to the snapback sanctions and the Russian government would simply be living in “two parallel realities” and offered no suggestions for resolving the disconnect.
