We've seen some police in blue cities sometimes take a restrained/very hands off approach to the anti-ICE activists. Often, they don't suffer any consequences for actions in which they might be involved.
In liberal areas, it's not always clear that even if people are arrested, they will face real charges. (Snip) But on Thursday, the police in Covington, Kentucky didn't hold back in responding to anti-ICE folks as they moved from Ohio into their town and state on a bridge.
The Covington Police Department responded to the protest on the Roebling Suspension Bridge, which they said “obstructed traffic and created safety concerns for both demonstrators and the public."

As we used to say, in my younger days, " It’s not funny until someone gets hurt, then it's hilarious!"
Great videos!

These loudmouth morons found out that once you cross the Ohio River into Kentucky, you’re in a different world. You’re “down south.”
Years ago, the FBI sent out a nationwide teletype message anytime a police officer in America was killed. It gave brief facts about the officer, and a short description of the incident. If it happened up north or out east, the message usually ended with “suspect apprehended by responding officers” or “suspect still at large”. If it happened down south or out west, it usually ended with “suspect shot and killed by responding officers” or “suspect shot and killed after high-speed chase.”
I notice most of these anti-ICE protests don’t happen south of the Mason-Dixon line. I guess things haven’t changed.

I'm sure the protesters got what they deserved, but it would've been nice to see them get what the Illinois Nazis got in the movie "The Blues Brothers" when Dan Aykroyd as Elwood Blues ran them off a Chicago bridge. That would've been rich. . .entertaining too!

Your right to "peacefully protest" ends when my right to freely travel is abridged. Your rights are not more important than my rights. Other citizens are denied the rights of police protection and emergency response while those assets are addressing your childish outbursts.
Throw them in jail as any fines will likely be paid by some leftist organizer/
instigator.

I was disappointed there wasn't MORE video footage of the cops. I was cheering my bloody head off. The heifer who kicked up her sandals was especially funny.

Police have shown remarkable restraint up to now, but as these demonstrators get more violent, the police have every reason to fear for their lives, and act accordingly.

The chick (?) getting the face-plant treatment at the end will probably look for a new hobby.

So a black police captain (n civvies) from somewhere else, who wasn't there, is filmed giving advice for how he'd have handled it. Pfffffffft.

That was really nice. Next time let the police dog get a bite in the action.

Do criminal stuff, get the criminal treatment. Police need to stop putting people on administrative leave to appease leftists when they have video evidence. Tell the press you're doing your jobs. Speak from an "in the right" position rather than conceding righteousness to these dangerous foolish people. Notice when high level government officials such as mayors, governors, and sheriff's let leftists know what's up in their domains they don't have problems with leftists. If you put them in time out instead of beating their behinds, you get more of their crazy, dangerous behavior; it gets worse and worse. You expect the people on the front line to act from a weak position rather than do their jobs to restore law and order.

Pepper spraying a cop is a great way to get your head beat around for a while. As demonstrated in the video.

This is exactly the type of response I’ve been waiting to see. Definite consequences! These hordes turn violent quickly, don’t give them a toe hold, give them second thoughts about even being there.

The police should have announced to the crowd that they had five minutes to clear the bridge.
After five minutes, the police should have started throwing the protesters into the river.
