A wild scene unfolded on Thursday after the top Democrat in the Florida Senate, Jason Pizzo, announced he was leaving the Democratic Party in a fiery floor speech. Telling his now-former colleagues that "our constituents are craving practical leaders, not political hacks," Pizzo said he had "FedExed" his voter registration form, changing it to "no party affiliation."Here's a bit of what he had to say. (Video) PIZZO: There'll be a caucus meeting where I hope that the members of the Democratic Caucus will elect a new leader. For today, I FedExed my voter registration form to change my party affiliation to no affiliation. J

Former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg had an awkward slip of the tongue. It was that or he tried to be fast and loose with Andrew Schulz and company when discussing his family, claiming that adopting black kids comes at a discount. He quickly clarified before saying there was no deposit. The former mayor and 2020 presidential candidate, along with his husband, have adopted fraternal twins, which is how this topic came up, along with a lecture about race in America.

If cleanliness is next to godliness, then New York City is basically heaven on Earth — kinda.
Despite its vermin, the trash-lined streets and only-in-New York smells, the Big Apple did not rank as one of the Top 10 Dirtiest Cities in America.
It’s a miracle on 34th Street — and it’s not even Christmas. (Photo) “From clean drinking water to sewage disposal, littered streets to missed garbage pick-ups, we analyzed 12.3 million sanitation-related 311 complaints in a series of US cities to reveal which metropolises need to clean up their act,” wrote study authors from HouseFresh, a publication focused on indoor air quality.

The Trump Administration pulled off an incredibly creative move to humiliate an activist judge trying to stop them from deporting dangerous illegal aliens.
As Axios reported, Team Trump revealed on Wednesday how they managed to avoid violating a federal judge’s restraining order barring them from deporting certain illegals.
U.S. District Court Judge Brian E. Murphy, a Biden appointee, ordered the Trump administration to ensure that people with final removal orders have a chance to argue that deportation to a country other than their own could jeopardize their safety.

Ty Clevenger has fired off a blistering letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel, accusing the FBI of flagrantly concealing critical records about the late DNC staffer Seth Rich and the now-discredited Russia collusion narrative.
In February 2024, Clevenger demanded that the FBI hand over the Seth Rich documents they continue to conceal from the public.
The FBI’s refusal follows a pattern of obfuscation. For years, the agency denied even possessing Seth Rich’s laptop—until Clevenger’s legal efforts forced the FBI to admit they had it all along. Yet, the agency still refuses to disclose any metadata from Seth Rich’s electronic devices.

President Donald Trump on Thursday announced that he would be meeting with The Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg and other journalists for an interview later in the day.The interview comes after Goldberg published a report in late March explaining how he was accidentally added to a Signal group chat in which top administration officials, including Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Vice President JD Vance, and others, discussed plans to bomb Houthi rebels in Yemen.
“Later today I will be meeting with, of all people, Jeffrey Goldberg, the Editor of The Atlantic, and the person responsible for many fictional stories about me,

President Trump blasted Vladimir Putin on Thursday and urged the Russian president to “STOP!” after Moscow launched its deadliest attack on Ukraine in almost a year overnight.
“I am not happy with the Russian strikes on KYIV,” Trump raged in a Truth Social post.
“Not necessary, and very bad timing. Vladimir, STOP! 5000 soldiers a week are dying. Lets get the Peace Deal DONE!” (Photos) His rare criticism of Putin came soon after Russia struck Kyiv with an hours-long barrage of missiles and drones — killing at least nine and wounding more than 70.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky branded the attack, which is the deadliest there since last July,

Cornell University has opted to drop controversial anti-Israel performer Kehlani from its Slope Day after the University President Michael Kotlikoff said the initial decision “injected division and discord.”
The university came under fire for inviting Kehlani, described as a “vile Jew-hater,” to perform on its Ivy League campus. As Breitbart News reported, “Kehlani has a music video that begins with, ‘Long live the Intifada,’ an Arabic word that translates to ‘shaking off’ and in the Palestinian context, is understood to mean a civil uprising.”

Holt asked, “Is this really about antisemitism?”
Garber responded, “I would say that, at Harvard, we have a real problem with antisemitism. We take it very seriously, and we’re trying to address it. There’s no doubt about the severity of that problem. We don’t really see the relationship to research funding at Harvard and other universities. They are two different issues.”
Garber also stated that “What they are indicating is that they want to directly review who we hire on our faculty. That has implications for what kinds of views can be expressed on campus. They also want to be able to tell us who we need to fire.

It’s a safe bet that the Democratic National Committee is not so pleased with Vice Chair David Hogg promising to hurl “asleep-at-the-wheel Democrats” into Thunderdome come 2026. Mr. Hogg appeared on the Sunday Talk Show circuit, where he promised to declare war within his party against those he feels are essentially not with the program, whatever that is. It’s all kinds of crazy at the DNC, but for now, the leadership is trying to rein in this chaotic element by expanding the committee’s non-endorsement policy (via NOTUS):

In a rare moment of unity and cultural celebration, nearly 11,500 children and educators poured into the Kennedy Center over three days to experience the power of classical music through the National Symphony Orchestra’s “Young People's Concerts.” While Washington is often consumed with dysfunction and political theater, this event reminded us that exposing young minds to the arts, primarily through affordable, accessible performances, can still uplift and inspire. At just $7 a ticket, the program shows that fostering a love of music and tradition doesn’t require bloated federal programs or ideological agendas—just a commitment to excellence and a respect for the next generation.

Her name is Natalie Winters. She’s a White House correspondent for Steve Bannon’s War Room, and she’s ruffled feathers of the establishment press who can’t get their heads around why they’re mocked, hated, and distrusted. Winters has been criticized for her attire in the White House Press Room in a media narrative that resembles Mean Girls. It doesn’t matter. Like most supporters of President Trump, she can take the hits and dish them out, like when CNN’s Donie O'Sullivan tried to press her on her media credentials.
