In the days before Republicans took control of the House last year, Democrats deleted more than 100 encrypted files relating to the investigation of the Jan 6 events which, as we now know, were four parts peaceful protest, one part riot, and two parts FBI-sponsored Capitol Hill tourism. The House Administration Committee's Oversight Subcommittee, chaired by Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-Ga.), was supposed to receive about four terabytes of data from the outgoing Democrats but was given only about half that much. All in all, 117 files were deleted, according to a House digital forensics examination seen by Fox News.
To give you an idea of how much data that is,

Seems to me like solid grounds for obstruction of justice charges. The Dems who did this might have been better off claiming their dog ate their files.

The Pubbies are in the process of setting up a committee to investigate whether or not they should hire someone to compose a strongly worded letter.
Once the committee has been set up - - and once it completes its investigation - - there will be a floor vote to determine whether or not the report should be released - - first to the rest of congress - - and then to the public. Once the release and the vote are completed - - the Pubbies will solicit bids from accomplished letter writers - - and send those bids back to the committee for consideration of a vote - - then the committee's vote will go to the floor of the house for further consideration.
I know that seems like a very ambitious schedule - - but the Pubbies are energized - - and dedicated to getting the letter written.
It won't be long now!

The democrat party is the most corrupt organization in the history of our country. It's a criminal enterprise masquerading as a political party.

Seems like a reason to toss every single charge against anyone…there’s obviously a defense in there that Dems do not want revealed. Vile ugly creatures…their willingness to destroy the lives of innocent people is unmatched in history.

it says....Dems shipped complete copies to the Whitehouse, and Homeland Security, but refused to send them to the House Archives. Why can't the New Committee simply get copies of Those?
Have any of those records witheld from the house been transferred and/or Used by teams prosecuting Jan 6? Or by the "Whitehouse/DOJ" special council prosecuting Trump?
It seems the Jan 6 comittee flagrantly violated the very Laws they have been cheerleading prosecuting Trump for, both in DC court, as well as in Fla....where they are claiming retaining/hiding/destroying ANY document is "Insurrection", and other States are claiming that bars Trump from running for or holding any elected office.

I’m afraid PDJT is the only man standing who understands the fight and is willing to engage.
As #1 alluded, our “representatives” do not have a fighting spirit.
We can argue the WHYs all day long. In the end, it does not matter why they won’t fight. It only matters they WON’T.
And no amount of kvetching and wishing they would be tried (for treason or even obstruction) will change things.

I know they won’t, but let’s make some arrests until the password is revealed. I can dream can’t I?

There are hackers out there who could punch through those passwords in pretty short order. Hire one.

Has anyone asked ChatGPT what the password is?
You'd be surprised what it knows.
I typed a line of code to a customer in another country and later he forgot it. He asked the AI how to do that thing and it spit out the identical line of code, exactly as I typed it. It either found it on his hard drive or it was listening in, or something else. It shocked me.
If it doesn't know the password, it probably has some good guesses.

Another failure of Mike Johnson. The mistake of the House was in selecting a speaker from the ranks of feckless republicans and expecting something different, like digging through your lobster traps to find a Red Snapper.

I disagree somewhat with poster #2 on this issue. I believe that the wimpy Republicans are sure to write a letter about the missing records, but first they will have to take several votes to determine who to address the letter too. After the wimpy Republicans mail their letter, they will wait forever for a response, and will claim that they did their job.

What #4 said...toss every J6 conviction for evidence tampering and for their partisan, prejudicial prosecution.
