The Bray family had always prided themselves on a positive outlook in life. And in 2018, when they received the devastating news that nine-year-old daughter Abby had life-threatening leukemia, they tried to focus on finding a way out of the situation. She had great doctors and a precise, effective treatment regimen; her outlook was positive. Until that is, the hospital ran out of the drugs that were keeping her alive. Abby's mother Laura, from Florida, was shocked when, one afternoon during Abby's treatment, the oncologist suggested she take her daughter home - and 'wait for the medication to become available again.'

All very true! And inexcusable! The FDA has a purely negative attitude to generic drug supplies.

Everyone get used to it. It is all part of the plan. My very common, generic blood pressure medicine is often unavailable for a month at a time. Even common stuff like aspirin will become hard to get. (And they want to ban 'supplements' like vitamins, minerals etc.). I suggest that everyone stock up on the medications they know they are going to need over the next few months.

It's so amazing isn't it that a patient with leukemia could not get drugs desperately while there is plenty of a vaccination that doesn't work and that so many people were FORCED to take. The pharmaceutical industry gets rich while people die.

Try getting ADD drugs. Every month it is call every pharmacy to see who, if any, has the drug, we need. Once we find the pharmacy that has the most of the prescription we quick call the doctors office for the refill ( no auto refills thanks to FDA rules) and hope they call it in and fill it before it is gone. Call too late and you could be out of meds for a few weeks.

During covid when so many things were unobtainable, I urged my husband to ask his cardiologist which of his medications were the most important because I was worried about them not being available. His cardiologist said, "If you cannot get your medications at your pharmacy, let me know and I will get them for you." So grateful he has a doctor like that.

These artificial shortages will continue to get much worse until the FDA and Big Pharmaceuticals that own the FDA are able to take supplements and medicine off the generic market and force people to get a prescription for absolutely every drug, vitamin, or mineral supplement the take. Absolute control is the goal.

One way to stop shortages is to revoke the patent immediately upon the shortage, or when a company decides to stop producing it. Also, revoke the patents of the company's top three most profitable drugs, and prevent them from exporting all of their drugs to foreign nations, if the drug in question is considered "life saving", as a warning to all drug companies not to mess with people's lives.

Kamala Harris laughed at Nikki Haley's frequent criticism of her, telling ABC News: 'Let's see what Iowa says to her!' The vice president sat down with the news network on the same day Iowa voters were going to their caucus sites. Haley ended up placing third behind winner Donald Trump and second place finisher Ron DeSantis. Trump leads the polls for the Republican nomination and President Joe Biden has made him a frequent target on the campaign trail. Harris expressed confidence that their ticket could beat the former president the same as they did in the 2020 election.

On the eve of the Iowa Republican caucus, the New York Times editorial board begged Republicans to abandon 2024 frontrunner former President Donald Trump in a piece Monday morning. In the piece titled “The Responsibility of Republican Voters,” the left-wing newspaper tried to guilt Republicans into supporting someone else. The board said: Iowa Republicans who will gather on Monday to cast the first votes of the 2024 presidential campaign season, and voters in New Hampshire and the states that will follow, have one essential responsibility: to nominate a candidate who is fit to serve as president, one who will ‘preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.’

President Joe Biden raised more than $97 million in the final three months of last year for his re-election campaign as he prepares to make his case to voters for a second term. The amount was more money than the $68 million that former President Barack Obama raised during the same period of his reelection but it was dwarfed by the $154 million that former President Donald Trump raised for his. Biden's war chest was boosted by a series of star-studded fundraising events, including one in Boston that featured singer-songwriter James Taylor, and three days in California for gatherings with Steven Spielberg, Barbra Streisand, Shonda Rhimes, Rob Reiner, and David Geffen.
