Former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz gave a passionate defense of billionaires and his childhood spent in the projects at a fiery Congressional hearing on Wednesday.
Summoned by democratic socialist Senator Bernie Sanders, the proceedings were meant to focus on Starbucks and allegations that it illegally fired pro-union baristas or spied on workers during a labor mobilization push.
But in a clip that has now gone viral, Schultz objected vehemently to the constant use of the term 'billionaire' by lawmakers which he took to be deliberately disparaging. He referred senators to his upbringing in Bayview -

1) Komrade Bernie makes me…….!
2) Finally, a “billionaire” is speaking out.
As Prof Limbaugh taught, you don’t accumulate wealth living on welfare.

If you make your money from legal activity, creating jobs and wealth in the process, it is nobody’s business.

*$ should franchise out every store it can't close. Does ANYBODY actually think that unionizing *$ will improve it? The union will simply suck the very last of the blood out of the husk they create out of a once fine company.

Schultz grew up poor, but he had a great work ethic. He worked hard for what he had, and the Bernies of congress and the media had better start getting a clue. He earned it kiddies, he has every right to enjoy it. Unlike Bernie Sanders who grifted on the public dole aka congress for what he has.

A friend's granddaughter works at the Starbucks in Big Bear, and when they got snowed in up there recently, Starbucks put her in a hotel room for several days at their expense until the roads reopened and she could get home.

#13, that is nice that Starbucks took care of their own employees. That isn't my complaint - it is what they expected of their customers - the ones that are paying for his American dream.

As long as you make it honestly, I don't care how much money you have. As for Starbucks making it honestly, if you can persuade people to pay five bucks for burnt coffee, more power to you.

Hard not to snicker: Scultz has been a MAJOR contributor to the Democratic Party and dismissive as H--- of Republicans. Now the door is swinging shut on his foot.

I do not hate wealthy people nor do I think I’m entitled to a share of their money. This is a ploy by Democrats that’s not about redistribution of income as much as it is confiscating wealth to be spent by the government to push their own agendas. Americans easily fall for it and it is really despicable.

Oh..get over yourself...WE all started with nothing and built our lives...and you are reaping what you started....social engineering...I stopped going to Starbuck when the staff were told to engage customers to a socialistic theme...all I wanted was coffee...and I got a lecture about how bad I was....hence I started my Dunkin runs...where they didn't care how I felt...they only cared what kinda coffee and doughnut I wanted....

14 the whole sh t show is about normalizing lifestyle.. Remember "Cheers" was about friends drinking beer and finding their family there. "Friends" was about a coffee shop and finding their family there. "The Big Bang" was about, who the hell knows? The message they all had in common was, what?

Me too, #18. Not long ago someone gave me a Starbucks gift card. I hadn’t darkened the doors of any of their shops in ages but thought I would use the gift card. I stopped in one on the way to a meeting one morning and the place was awash in tranny flags - big ones in the windows and on the walls and small ones all along the counter and on the tables. That was the last straw. Never again.
