Rand Paul: FBI Will only Be Reformed if
We Remove and Replace Top 10% of the Agency

On Tuesday’s broadcast of Newsmax TV’s “Eric Bolling The Balance,” Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) argued that the FBI’s leadership has become a “political class” and that reforming the agency is “only going to happen if we get a president who gets rid of the top 10% and brings in some law enforcement people” who are not political actors. Paul stated, “I think it’s swamp fever, Potomac fever. The ones closest to the swamp have become infected with influence and power and politics. I play golf with a retired FBI agent. He’s conservative. Most of the agents that I meet in the field are conservative.

Better to remove the top 100%, and replace them with nobody. Our liberty has suffered horrible damage at their hands. A new crew will do the same thing as soon as they find out they can get away with it.

I would say the top 25% or more should be removed. Most are hold overs from the Obama Administration. Most were put in place by Eric Holder. Trump made the biggest mistake when he took office by keeping these people in place and then having Wray as FBI Director.

I agree with response 1: that's a very optomistic view. And where are you going to get replacements? You shovel muck out of the swamp, what do you fill the hole with before the surrounding swamp simply all seeps in and fills itself with more muck? Who will watch the watchers? Our elected officials helped in corrupting the last batch of Watchers.

10%? Is that all? If reforming the FBI and sending a message to those running this corrupt government agency, then we have to start with at least a 25% reduction of the top staff and a gutting of the FBI budget. Followed by the same reduction in the DOJ, State Department, IRS, and the complete elimination of the Department of Education and EPA.

Meh, maybe 10%, maybe 100%, it might help in the near term, but ultimately I don’t think it matters. The same forces that corrupt multiple federal agencies still exists, and human nature is such that it will happen again with new actors. These agencies need to be GONE, and the federal government reduced to and permanently confined to its constitutional limits. But the deep state will never allow this to happen, and the electorate has been miseducated for so long there isn’t the understanding or political will to make this happen.

The original mission of the FBI is needed now more than ever. The "top 10%" is likely a larger number than it may seem; however, if the Biden administration gets to pick the replacements, the outcome would undoubtedly be worse. If the democrats can be ousted from the Whitehouse and control of the Senate next year, then the 10% decapitation would be effective. Short of that, even a 100% turn-over would be meaningless. Total dissolution would be a gift to organized criminals, especially those within our government.

Maybe a lot bigger percentage than that, as the old adage that “birds of a feather flock together” applies, and in this particular case, clearly politicized super bureaucrats seek to flock together by assigning and promoting like thinking lower level bureaucrats into higher level management and supervisory positions in agencies whereby the bureaucrats can all flock together and trust each other, especially when it comes to any issue that is politically connected.

Whale meat vending machine business continues

A new set of whale meat vending machines debuted in Japan this week. Kyodo Senpaku Co., a Japanese whaling operator, unveiled them in the port town of Yokohama, approximately 20 miles from its capital city of Tokyo. This is the third vending machine outlet the company has installed in an effort to promote sales after years of struggling to promote its products due to whale conservationists’ protests. (Photos) In 2018, Japan put an end to the hunting of the animal in the Antarctic and resumed commercial whaling off its coasts. That moved halted the protesters, but the groups still oppose the new machines.

On this day in history, Jan. 28, 1986, the space shuttle Challenger — scheduled for a routine launch from Cape Canaveral in Florida — exploded after just 73 seconds in flight, killing all seven Americans on board. The disaster shocked the nation — and led to an immediate pause in the space shuttle program. The cause of the disaster was found to be the failure of the primary and secondary redundant O-ring seals in a joint in the shuttle's right solid rocket booster (SRB). While the mission on that fateful day in 1986 was supposed to be like any other routine mission,

I think it’s safe to say that David DePape, Paul Pelosi’s alleged attacker, has more than a few issues. We saw the harrowing body cam video where he attacked Pelosi with the hammer, as well as the Capitol Police surveillance video showing how he broke into the Pelosi home. Capitol Police were not monitoring the video at the time because Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was out of town. We also heard the troubling call Paul Pelosi made to a 911 operator. But DePape also made a wild call to KTVU, a local California news station on Friday, to deliver an “important message.”
