The smartest people in the room can't figure it out? Give me a break. Don't stop investigating until you find the person responisible for the crime. Even our Supreme Court isn't willing to fight crime and uphold justice! DO YOUR JOB

The Supreme Court knew who leaked. They tried to give her an offramp last week. We all read about how "the wise Latina," might retire. Only she seems to have refused. Who has the guts to expose her publically? The Judiciary Committee? We'll see.

If the leaker was a low level clerk I imagine it would have already been uncovered and adjudicated. "Not being able to find the leaker" makes me think it was probably one of the liberal justices. The leak itself already damaged the SCOTUS mystique but finding one of the justices guilty of a leak like this would be too much for the court to bear.

What the Supreme Court marshal said, in effect, was “we know who did it - we just don’t have enough evidence”. This is a copout. The new Judiciary Committee will have better luck, I think. My money is still on The Wide Latina.

Uh-oh! This is bad news for Chief Justice Roberts. He's lost control of the investigation. At a minimum the House Committee will discover the Marshal's "investigation" was inept, and at most will discover that the leaker is Roberts.

Assuming that the Republicans know pretty well who it was, it would be to their advantage to sit on it until they have control of the WH and Senate again. Disclosing it now would not offer any advantage since Biden would just send another clone of Brown for confirmation. The risk of silence is actually greater for the Democrats, but it further raises the stakes for them to rig the next election like they did for the last several.

Reading between the lines, the "internal" investigation by the SCOTUS likely revealed that it was one of the liberal justices who was the leak...so the entire investigation was whitewashed.

On January 1, the world celebrated New Year’s Day—a holiday of self-reflection, self-renewal, and hope. In Ukraine, the focus was different. There, January 1 marks the birthday of Stepan Bandera, Ukraine’s Nazi national hero. Bandera is the founding father of Ukrainian Nazism and his birthday is a national holiday. In Ukraine, paying homage to their most famous antisemite and leading Nazi collaborator of World War II, is a very big deal. Calling All Nazis Under President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the level of Nazi influence and control in Ukraine has been unprecedented. Ronna McDaniel won a fourth term to head the Republican National Committee (RNC) during a secret ballot vote by members on Friday, capping off a contentious election spurred by calls within the party for new leadership. McDaniel fended off two challengers — California attorney Harmeet Dhillon and MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, a staunch denier of the 2020 presidential election results. She received 111 votes, while Dhillon received 51 and Lindell received four. Former Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-N.Y.), who did not ultimately make a run for RNC chair, also received one vote.

The ultra-strong opioid being cut with virtually every street drug in the country killed a record 75,000 Americans in 2021, the equivalent of 1,500 lives lost every week.  Fentanyl - which is 100 times more potent than morphine - started off as a cheap and potent alternative to heroin and was used by only the most hardcore drug addicts in the US, who mainly injected it or smoked it through a pipe. But its cheap manufacturing costs and potency have made it the go-to cutting agent

The Biden administration is facing some scrutiny over a proposal to change the way it racially/ethnically classifies federal employees. At the moment, anyone of Middle Eastern or North African descent only has the option of identifying/being classified as “white.” Were the administration’s proposal to be approved, these individuals would instead have the option of identifying as Middle Eastern or North African. The proposal would accomplish this by rewriting the Office of Management and Budget 1997 Statistical Policy Directive No. 15: Standards for Maintaining, Collecting, and Presenting Federal Data on Race and Ethnicity (SPD 15).
