Explaining Conservativism II: Why the
Left Hates It

Logic and facts over feelings. Its that simple.

FTA: "For these reasons, the end of conservativism must lead to the end of Western civilization." We're well on our way, and as Mark Steyn so eloquently and accurately put it: Once you've lost the culture, elections don't really matter. Which is why I can't get as excited about 2022 and 2024 as some are.

But why are they leftists to begin with? In the 1960’s we had, for the first time, a large and growing middle class. More young people were attending universities than ever before. More people were prosperous than ever before. Fewer people were in poverty than ever before. Yet the left decided it was all broken and have done their best ever since to tear it all down. Those of you who were too young or not old enough to experience life in America before 1968 perhaps cannot understand. But the “shattering” which took place beginning in that year was mind blowing. I was only 10, but even at that age I saw so much of what I had grown up with, and of what I was comfortable with, be ripped away and thrown away? Why? Why did those people want to “fix” so much that wasn’t broke? Why do they continue to do it today?

Isn’t the base reason just the accrual and perhaps the seizing of power? The Gullibles are extremely susceptible to repetition and once a Holier Than Thou outlook is embedded in them Noble Cause Corruption justifies anything and everything.

The beauty that has been produced by Western Civilization was built upon the Judaeo-Christian religious philosophies that place God above man. That require certain duties of man to each other and to God. The great art, literature and music were all inspired by the ideals of man's duty to his God and to his brother and sisters; based on the Great Commandment to "Love one another." The enemies of civilization follow the great deceiver, Lucifer, whose deadly fruits are being harvested today in Planned Parenthood abortuaries and surgery centers like Vanderbilt University. This is spiritual warfare disguised as a political debate. Do not be deceived. While political action is necessary, our prayers and supplications to God are more important; but most important it to evangelize our neighbor. Pray and fast, patriots. In God We Trust.

American parents since WW2 have been subjected to a never-ending wave of social and technological change some say are advances. Race relations is one example. There is nothing worth conserving in segregation and the Klan. Pop culture has overwhelmed the household by its 150 channel ubiquitous nature with no "code of broadcast standards" regulating content. News is a minute-to-minute enterprise depending more on visuals than any other content to convey its story. Propagandists take advantage, as demonstrated by COVID-mania and other fear porn memes...while opposition is dismissed as "misinformation" that may lead to lawsuits and even threats of imprisonment. And that doesn't even consider changes in family structures, were a near majority of children are raised by a single parent, usually a mother. Male presence in upbringing is regarded by many as "toxic". Boyish behavior diagnosed as ADD or some other behavioral disorder often treated by psychotropic drugs, a trophy for many mothers, and an excuse of anything the kid does or will ever do. Many moms feminize their sons, in the process disrupting their emotional development. And so it goes. Churches, schools, and other institutions teach nothing but rot these days. Sadly, with the complacency of "conservatives" who only recently have begun to challenge the largely union stooges they elected. Much of the "conservative" biosphere is no different that the liberal one, certainly not when, as Prager says, "Music critics rarely discuss the question that preoccupies conservatives: Is this new piece of music good, let alone nearly as good as the classics?" When one won't listen to the "new music" how would one decide? Prager says, "If asked to define conservative values, most conservatives will be tongue-tied.” These aren't "conservatives" then able to "passes the best of everything to every succeeding generation." Like it or not, conservatives have adopted many of the radical political thoughts and programs of the past (ex. Social Security and Medicare), and perhaps refused to consider changes that need to be made.

Another great and profound piece by Prager. I read this aloud to my wife and paused for effect at Prager's"What do Progressives wish to Conserve?" She initially said as he did, "Nothing!" for we know the Progressive mind fairly well. But then before I concluded, she said, "Wait, themselves." My comment was, "Progressives hate themselves. Why else do they destroy everything and everyone around them, and ruin their own minds and bodies with drugs, alcohol and STDs?" At that point, we both agreed, "Nothing was the simplest most concise answer.

So many older leftists (40s-60s) I know still seem like teenagers (newness, excitement,...). Many of them have serial relationships or multiple partners, are atheists, etc.
