“Good Christian” Lori Lightfoot has finally said it. The migrant crisis was caused by the federal government, and the federal government must step up to address the results of its policy.
“This is a national problem, it needs a national solution, cities and states cannot be left to fend for ourselves,” she proclaimed from her pulpit. (Tweet/Video)Lightfoot has done the one thing everyone has been waiting for. She has shined the spotlight on the Biden Administration, saying essentially that “this is your problem.” A federal problem. Needing a federal solution. Democrat mayors and governors had seemed to avoid saying this, but Chicago is now on record saying it.

Muriel Bowser is not mentioned until paragraph 20; everything before that covers Mayor Bug from Chicago. This must be the new journalism. Would Bowser (or Lightfoot, for that matter) complain if the "newcomers" were from Africa instead of Mexico and South America? The question answers itself.

Amazing...Truth and insight from of all people Lori Lightfoot. She actually got the point. The idea behind the drop off of illegals was to get one of these stupid mayors to focus on the real architect of the crisis, Dementia Joe via his handlers. No Republican governor is responsible no matter what the pontificating pundits say...yea, it's all just like "The Holocaust."
I can't stand Lightfoot, she's destroyed a beautiful city, but unlike every other depraved Democrat, I will give her her due for, and thank her for, at least this one time, speaking the truth.

Lightfoot saw the light, on the border crisis. Maybe she will someday see the light on the tragic folly of suppressing Second Amendment rights, too.

The issue here is undocumented people. If you want to get someone to do what you want, make them think that it is their idea. These antics will lead to human ID chips. If you don't think sane people will go along with this, remember the mask mandates.

No, but you self-righteously claim to be a sanctuary city, so deal with it.

Abbott and DeSantis are apparently the two brightest of our red state governors. Keep shining the spotlight gentlemen and let the chips fall where they may. It has been amusing watching the liberals in Martha's Vineyard make excuses about how they aren't prepared for illegals, but Texas is. Seriously, who is right now.
Like the old Monty Python sketch, nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition. The new version is, nobody expects the flood of illegals. If they want to send money to pay for the property damage and crime the illegals are causing the border communities, that might be acceptable. Border communities which are democrat by the way.

Bowser -- you are not an American city either.
Litefoot -- you are admitting that you are not capable of handling the problem.
2 peas in a pod -- both elected because of their color.
