President Joe Biden and Senate Democrats have decided to react to inflation and recession with a new version of BBB that raises taxes and spending. This is how we got into this problem in the first place.
This makes no economic sense. It does make a great deal of political sense.
Start with the spending explosion for the Internal Revenue Service that Biden demanded from the start. That is $80 billion to deploy 87,000 new IRS agents. Enough to fill every seat in Nationals Park twice. Enough to fill the Roman Colosseum 1.7 times.
That’s more new IRS agents than the entire combined personnel of all U.S. aircraft carriers.

This boondoggle needs to be stopped. Since we're so close to the midterms, if we need more spending it should be dealt with in the next Congress.
And the real inflation # is closer to 17.5%. www.shadowstats.com

There is something odd about Manchin.
He reminds me of Pierre and the constant need for attention.
My gut tells me he has no compass — just a finger in the wind.
West Virginia, what say you?

#2, I say they will reelect him because he brings home the goodies. We don't know any more about what's in the spending package than we knew about what was in 0 care.

The 87,000 IRS agents are wanted to harass the American public. Every American will then be subject to process violations, or can't find a receipt charges. The agents aren't your friend. They are wanted to raise revenue, and will be graded on how much they raise.

Some of us tried to tell others of you not to trust Manchin. He is and always has been a democrat out for himself. As others have said, he finally found someone to meet his asking price. He's not being bribed; he's a sellout. Always has been.

Just a warning. The IRS sent my sister-in-law a letter saying there might be someone who is using her SSN to claim EIT credits for gov't checks. I told her if the IRS can send her a freakin' letter asking to verify her residence, they dam well oughta know the address of the duplicate claimant. Beware of false notices of id theft.

The IRS has things backwards. They rush to get your money, but are very slow to return overpayments of taxes. Instead of auditors how about modernizing the IRS computer systems and the way they process returns. There are still millions of 2021 Tax Year returns unprocessed in IRS centers due to the archaic systems and the lack of people, not auditors.

With 80,000 additional IRS employees everyone will be subjected to the terror of eternal audits a cost of tax attorneys to defend themselves from large penalties and prison .

At some point, there will be more people working for the government than in the private sector. Good luck when that happens.

#12, that is the plan.
Ultimately, democrats want an all powerful government reaching into and controlling every aspect of our lives. They will strengthen the power of each agency to further control our lives. The democrat party is attempting to do what no foreign country has ever done, destroy the Republic and they are doing it by increasing the size and scope of every government agency. They want more people working for the government and dependent upon it for their very existence. They are growing the government to consolidate their power.

To No. 7; I receive a similar letter yesterday.
I think I'll write back and ask them to send me a copy of that fraudulent return.

If there’s one Federal agency that I hate more than the FBI it’s the IRS! The IRS is the very description of totalitarianism! You are guilty until proven innocent and they decide that!

And no matter how many IRS agents are hired and how many US Attorneys investigate Hunter Biden - nothing will ever be done for him as to being a tax cheat, gun owner cheat and piece of crap overall.

And Lois Lerner is probably sitting in an expensive office calling the shots....WE must detach from the government as much as possible...don't use credit cards unless absolutely necessary...buy locally and use U S can to pay...buy gold or gold jewelry as a hedge....stock up goods for the winter...it will take many month after WE take back the house and senate to reverse course...and then in 2024...General Patton will be in command again....President Trump knows how to do things right....

#14, the IRS will not send you a copy of a return you did not file because there is a federal law protecting privacy. The ID thieves hide behind this law yo avoid prosecution. LEO's in Florida have evidence of multiple (as in 100's) of IRS refunds going to the same address, but cannot prosecute because IRS is prohibited by law to release tax info.
Yet, Lois Lerner sent over 1 million tax filer's info to the Obama White House on a CD and was not prosecuted.

Do you think the revenues will get your refund faster than 18 months? Not that kind of enforcer?
