The US says it shared intelligence with Ukraine about the location of the Russian missile cruiser Moskva prior to the strike that sank the warship, an incident that was a high-profile failure for Russia’s military. An American official said on Thursday that Ukraine alone decided to target and sink the flagship of Russia’s Black Sea fleet using its own anti-ship missiles.(Snip)The disclosure of US support in the Moskva strike comes as the White House is under pressure from Republicans to do more to support Ukraine’s resistance and as polls suggest Americans question whether Joe Biden is being tough enough on Russia.

The Guardian Angels are patrolling well-to-do Forest Hills following the shooting murder of a food deliveryman working for a local Chinese restaurant. Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa, the Republican candidate for mayor last year, said it’s the first time in the civilian patrol’s 43-year history that it’s been asked to patrol the upper-middle-class Queens neighborhood. Residents are rattled after Zhiwen Yan, 45, a deliveryman for Great Wall restaurant, was shot dead while making a delivery near 108th Street and 67th Drive on Saturday in what is believed to be a dispute with an angry customer. “The killing of the deliveryman has people on edge.

LA's woke DA George Gascon will not pursue felony charges against the attacker who stormed Dave Chappelle's Hollywood Bowl concert with a bayonet, reducing the charges to misdemeanor instead.
Isaiah Lee, 23, ran on stage at the show on Wednesday yielding the knife that was hidden inside a gun. Chappelle, 48, was able to sidestep him and was unharmed. The attacker was then arrested at the scene, and taken to hospital with a broken arm.(Snip)But Gascon's office—which is famously in favor of low-or-no-cash-bonds—is not pursuing the most serious line of punishment. Instead, they have referred the case to the LA City Attorney

President Biden in a speech Wednesday repeatedly stumbled over the views of pro-Trump Republicans, labeling their agenda as “mega” instead of the MAGA acronym. Mr. Biden bungled the word three times during a speech when he tore into a tax plan unveiled last month by Sen. Rick Scott, Florida Republican. Mr. Biden said the proposal would raise taxes on 75 million American families, 95% of whom make less than $100 million a year. “It’s hard to make this up, but then again it is the mega agenda,” Mr. Biden said.(Snip)“I don’t want to hear Republicans talk about deficits and their ultra-mega agenda,” he said.

The US has secretly been giving Ukraine real-time battlefield intelligence that directly helped its military kill Russian generals, according to a report—drawing an angry response Thursday from the Kremlin. Washington had provided crucial intelligence that helped pinpoint Russia’s mobile military headquarters as well as anticipate their movements, the New York Times reported, citing multiple senior US officials. The intelligence was “decisive” and directly led to Ukraine killing “many” Russian generals, the anonymous officials told the paper, without specifying the number.
Ukraine has previously claimed to have killed at least 12 Russian generals. The report stressed that not all were attributed to the US tipoffs.

A Mexican woman attempting to scale the U.S.-Mexico border wall was strangled to death by her climbing gear while hanging from the wall.
An autopsy released earlier this week confirmed 31-year-old Griselda Verduzco Armenta’s cause of death. Armenta, a mother of two, was found hanging from the wall on April 11 outside the small border city of Douglas, Ariz. She was entangled in climbing gear including a cord, tie-down straps and a seat belt, police said. A family member said Armenta had crossed the border multiple times before while trying to provide more for her two young daughters, the Guardian reported.(Snip)“The coyotes tried and tried

Embattled Republican Rep. Madison Cawthorn responded Wednesday night to a video circulating on social media showing him naked and thrusting his pelvis at another man's head. The video was first published by American Muckrakers PAC, a political group that runs the Fire Madison Cawthorn website, ahead of North Carolina's May 17 primary. Soon after, it started circulating widely on Twitter, according to WRAL. David B. Wheeler, president of the PAC, said in a statement that the video was 'passed to us by a former supporter' of Cawthorn but would not name the source. It shows Cawthorn, 26, screaming and chanting as he started thrusting against an unknown man's face.

Department of Justice’s Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz told the House Judiciary Committee that he would consider a probe of alleged FBI retaliation against agents who participated in demonstrations on Jan. 6, 2021, but did not enter the U.S. Capitol.
Citing whistleblower claims, Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio, the top Republican on the committee, urged Mr. Horowitz last month to investigate allegations the FBI was effectively suspending employees indefinitely by suspending their security clearances for attending the protests. Mr. Jordan said the agents were being punished “for their participation in protected First Amendment activity on January 6, 2021.” Mr. Horowitz told Mr. Jordan and Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler,

The Center, New York City’s LGBTQ community center, is celebrating the life and legacy of Keith Haring by renaming a wing after the beloved late artist. On Wednesday, on what would’ve been Haring’s 64th birthday, The Center announced a new name for its annex building: the Keith Haring Community Wing. The Reading, Pa.-born pop artist, whose drawings went from the graffiti subculture of downtown New York to the walls of some of the world’s most prestigious museums, died of AIDS-related complications in February 1990 at the age of 31. During his short-lived career, Haring used his unmistakable images of colorful, almost child-like images as a powerful tool

A sledgehammer-wielding robber smashed through a Bronx jewelry store’s front window, snatching $20,000 in chains and pendants, surveillance video obtained by The Post Wednesday shows. Screams can be heard on the video from inside M & NP Jewelers on White Plains Road during the smash and grab around 4 p.m. Sunday–before a roll-down gate nearly ensnares the culprit. A witness told the NYPD “three unknown individuals broke the store window with a sledgehammer” and “removed assorted jewelry,” police said in a statement. The video shows the robber who wielded the sledgehammer shoving the baubles into a bag held by a second man. It’s not clear what the third man

A Florida teacher claims she was fired for discussing her pansexual status with middle school students whom she then asked to draw pictures representing their own sexual orientations. Cape Coral art instructor Casey Scott said her students were curious about her sexual orientation and she explained to them that she was pansexual during a lesson in March, NBC2 reported.(Snip)Scott, who is married to a man, said the kids at Trafalgar Middle School then created flags representing their own sexuality and gender identities ranging from transgender and non-binary to gay. The first-year teacher posted their creations to her classroom door before administrators told her to take them down.

A brawler in a hooded sweatshirt knocked an elderly man to the ground, threw liquid at him and then kicked him in the face in a broad-daylight Bronx attack, police said Tuesday. Cops believe the 77-year-old victim and his attacker knew each other before Monday afternoon’s violent episode. Video shows the two men arguing on Grand Concourse at E. Clarke Place in Mount Eden at about 1:30 p.m. The attacker, who’s holding a cup in one hand, uses the other to punch the victim in his face, sending him sprawling onto a patch of grass. The victim tried to shield himself with his cane,
Comments:
The accompanying tweet posted by The Center itself shows the mural on the walls of what once was a toilet, which I thought was fitting. But then I made the mistake of zooming in and wow, it shows a gay orgy in progress, maybe even the one that got the "artist" infected with the AIDS. If one day NYC was smashed into dust by the fist of an angry God, it would be more than deserved.
