to Twitter if Musk purchases the platform

Supporters of billionaire Elon Musk’s proposal to purchase social media giant Twitter indicate that free speech is the number one thing on their minds, with many hoping to see a reinstatement of former President Donald Trump’s account. Unfortunately, Trump doesn’t have any intention of going back to Twitter even if he is released from his permanent ban. He explained his reasoning to Americano Media during an interview. (Tweet) “Recently the CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, took 9.2% of Twitter’s stock making him its largest shareholder. If he were to reinstate your Twitter account, Mr. President, would you resume tweeting? And what would be your first tweet?” asked Maria Herrera Mellado

What would be Trump's first tweet? "Once again, I was right and glad to be back on Twitter, MAGA/KAG/KMAGA."

Fauci’s daughter is a software engineer at Twitter. There are concerns if Musk buys Twitter, the current software team will embed code that will eventually destroy the system making it useless. However, if this happened Musk could probably write off the 41 billion as a tax loss - winning!

Ever try to join Trump's answer to Twitter? Still waiting for login permission. Must require a donation to get access. Elon will either make Twitter great again or create his own Town Square. My bet is on the latter option.

The Biden administration announced Friday that it would resume selling new oil and gas leases on federal lands – while hiking royalties that go the public when selling leases for extracting fossil fuel reserves in nine states. The Interior Department announced the news Friday afternoon – Good Friday and the start of Passover while Biden is away at Camp David, in a sign of the political sensitivity of the issue. It comes amid successive reports of soaring inflation, although the administration has stressed repeatedly that decisions on leasing primarily impact long-term, rather than short-term supply, and has called on companies to explore for oil and gas on existing leases.

Conservative commentator and former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, appearing on Just the News’ John Solomon Reports podcast, had some harsh words for Mitch McConnell, who he sees as being too weak and his agenda as being about as bad as that pushed by Pelosi and the Democrats. Speaking on that, Gingrich first sided with a few conservative legislators who have put forth positive visions of America, saying:“I am totally with Kevin McCarthy and with Rick Scott, both of whom have come up with positive ideas.“McCarthy wants to develop a commitment to America. And he’s got, I think, seven different working groups. I was honored to be invited

Twitter’s desperate gambit on Friday to stave off Elon Musk’s bid for a hostile takeover is technically known as a shareholder rights’ plan, but investors call it a “poison pill.” Here’s how it works, and what might happen next:A poison pill allows other shareholders – but not the would-be buyer – to scoop up newly minted shares at a discount, boosting their investments while forcing the target to swallow “economic poison” by having his shares diluted. The move is an unmistakable signal that the board is not interested in the prospective hostile acquiror, despite a potential profit for shareholders. If the maneuver succeeds, shareholders are certain to

ROME, Italy — Pope Francis accused the West of racism Friday, insisting migrants are “subdivided” by skin color and country of origin.“Refugees are subdivided,” the pontiff declared during a lengthy Good Friday interview on Italian television. “There’s first class, second class, skin color, [whether] they come from a developed country [or] one that is not developed.”“We are racists, we are racists. As he has done on other occasions, Francis compared the current problem of migrants and refugees to the flight into Egypt of Joseph, Mary, and Jesus when King Herod was seeking to kill him.

A record number of homebuyers are departing from coastal cities like Los Angeles and San Francisco for states like Florida as inflation surges and the housing market shows early signs of a slowdown. Redfin, a real-estate brokerage, released a report showing that 32.3 percent of users were looking to move to a different metropolitan area in the first quarter of 2022, up from 31.5 percent a year ago and 26 percent in 2019. The company blames factors like skyrocketing home prices, rising mortgage rates and inflation - which rocketed to a 41-year-high 8.5 percent in March - as families look to find a more affordable place to live.

A senior administration official said the initiative is the first major assessment of how government policies have allowed “inequality to fester,” including ways they said the government has blocked underserved communities from government services. “This is about getting under the hood in every agency,” the official said. The plan outlines more than 300 different strategies and commitments by more than 90 federal agencies, including the Justice, Defense, Energy and Labor departments. The Russian people know little about Putin’s war on Ukraine because Putin has blocked their access to the truth, substituting propaganda and lies. Years ago, pundits assumed the internet would open a new era of democracy, giving everyone access to the truth. But dictators like Putin and demagogues like Trump have demonstrated how naive that assumption was. At least the US responded to Trump’s lies. Trump had 88 million Twitter followers before Twitter took him off its platform – just two days after the attack on the Capitol, which he provoked, in part, with his tweets. (Trump’s social media accounts were also suspended on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitch and TikTok

Tony Dungy, the first black coach ever to win a Super Bowl, might have escaped notice this week had he merely supported Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’s “Responsible Fatherhood Initiative.” His real sin was to explain why. Dungy, a Christian father or eleven, recounted a conversation he had years back with the Rev. Abe Brown about Brown’s prison ministry. At Brown’s request, Dungy accompanied him to prison. Expecting to find hardened criminals, Dungy found instead “19- and 20- and 21-year-old kids who looked like my boys.” When Dungy asked what accounted for the young men’s incarceration, Brown told him, “(snip) Ninety-five percent of these boys did not grow up with their dad.”

Prices of used cars are still very high, but their surge has stalled and they may have peaked.” Oh, wait. That was from a column that Krugman wrote in June 2021.
