A group of about 40 housing and homeless advocates marched to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's San Francisco mansion on Saturday to hang an 'eviction notice' on her door, demanding she reconvene Congress to pass legislation extending the eviction moratorium. The moratorium expired at midnight on Saturday, and the House Speaker was unable to garner enough support to pass a resolution extending it before Congress adjourned for summer break. She has instead demanded that the Centers for Disease Control, which initially started the moratorium extend it, despite a Supreme Court ruling

All politicians should be required to take a class on the Constitution and an Economics 101 class -- and pass them both -- before they are ever allowed to take their oath of office!!!!!
Of course, that would exclude all Demon-Rats from ever taking their oaths of office since there isn't a Demon-Rat in this country that could pass either of those classes!!! So it's a win/win for the American people!!!

Even a burned out bulb like Nanzi knows that SCOTUS already rules that CDC doesn't have the authority to set or extend rent moratoriums. She's just trying to keep Pantifa from burning down her shack when they find out that this is all on Congress for not playing Monty Haul with them again.
It won't work, because AOC is already out there with the rest of the Squat telling their little followers that Xiden and Pelosi are responsible. Should be entertaining to see their reaction to being egged on by that little group of communists.

How about each of those protesters just go get one of the millions of jobs which are currently needing to be filled and pay their own #*&%@ rent so I, a taxpayer, don’t have to?

Rentals are not free housing for the homeless and there is no ‘right’, human or otherwise to squat on other people’s property. Lots of rich Democrats own rental property. Perhaps if these protesters combined all of their brain cells they could figure out why this moratorium expired.

Housing is not a 'human right' as the protestors claim, but I find it very interesting that SanFranNan couldn't ram through a piece of legislation in a Dem-majority House to extend the eviction moratorium. One wonders why...and then you put together what billionaires like Gates, Bloomberg, and other investors are doing in buying land and houses to turn people into renters, and then it starts to make sense. Why do something against the money men and perhaps your own investments? As always, follow the $$$$.

This may be a bit of political theater for the national audience. At least California rent deadbeats don't need to worry, and I imagine this is going on within other blue states...way under the radar.
On the local "oldies" radio station I've heard several airings of a PSA about the ending of the rent "moratorium". A friendly female voice begins with a message about the change in policy and that rents, including past-due months, must now be paid. But, fear not! The State of California will pay your current rent, plus all back rent! Just call this 1-800 number to sign up! The first time I heard it, I thought it was joke, like Shanklin used to do on Rush. I have heard it several time since. Its for real. My disgust for our overloads in the regional imperial city of Swampamento knows no bounds.
Free California! Free America!
