Americans really are drinking more during the COVID-19 pandemic. New research suggests that alcohol consumption in the United States rose 14% during pandemic shutdowns.
The most dramatic increase was in heavy drinking episodes in women, defined as four or more drinks within two hours. Women reported a 41% increase in episodes of heavy drinking in the spring of 2020 compared with their drinking level in the spring of 2019.
"We've had anecdotal information about people buying and consuming more alcohol, but this is some of the first survey-based information that shows how much alcohol consumption has increased

Couldn’t go out, couldn’t see friends, stuck in house alone.. ok, with spouse who was essential worker on overtime- so alone.. wine! Wine is always the answer.. wine is reason my body shape became - covid mom bod...
And.. a BIG fat whatever ... good for wine sales, good for me.. and good for America! I figure the economy had to grow- I helped!! Lol

Here are my research findings. There is a wholesale distributor down the street that has 100 bobtail delivery trucks. Only half the number are leaving the parking lot each day, half the number before the virus. So deliveries are half what they were.

Drinking at home is best. And if you sit on the floor, you won't fall down when you've had too much.

Of course they are! Alcohol is the #1 anti anxiety drug on the market. More women are higher on the negative emotion curve and have more anxiety. The MSM has us all in a panic. We are all going to die or have horrible after effects from COVID etc. etc. Oh! And we are losing our jobs because our kids can't go to school because the teachers are too scared to get near kids etc.

Guilty. Between an amazingly generally sucky, crappy year AND Covid— yes, more wine. And if you like cocktails, look into a sweet little machine called Drinkworks...to die for. I don’t drink and drive—so don’t. But heck yes, you’ll get the wine out of my cold, dead hands. P.S. celebrating my birthday this Saturday in local wine country, can’t wait. Cheers!

It’s the fake media’s fault...if you listen to them you would never leave the house, go to school, go to work, have rallies, have Supreme Court hearings....but they loves riots & impeachment .

I wish. I've reached an age where alcohol seems to interfere with a restful sleep, and I always need more sleep than I get. It feels like jet lag the next morning. Having said that, Angel's Envy bourbon is worth the liquor lag.

Suicides, OD's, and Alcohol abuse related incidents are up significantly since the Plandemic began. Unintended consequences....or maybe LT Chinese planning. Or Cloward Piven strategy....or both!
