Jack Smith’s Case Against Trump Appears
to Be Falling Apart

Special Counsel Jack Smith's efforts to imprison Donald Trump for mishandling classified documents have hit a few snags recently, and the latest snag is, indeed, a big one. "Special Counsel Jack Smith could be blocked from using evidence against Donald Trump contained in grand jury investigation files, which were transferred to the former president's Florida classified documents case this week, a former prosecutor has suggested," reports Newsweek. "In 2023, a grand jury in Washington, D.C., heard evidence from witnesses—including Trump's attorney, Evan Corcoran—while considering whether charges should be brought against the former president and others for hoarding classified documents. However, Trump and his co-accused were later indicted in Florida

Comments:

Yeah, let me know once all charges have been dropped and the case dismissed with prejudice.

It's always been an issue that he abused the Court system by using the overly biased DC system to get what he wanted, but then realized he had to file the charges in Florida where the whole matter should have been handled in the first place. It should also be noted that the National Archives did not assist President Trump with his files upon leaving the White House like they had with all other Presidents. I believe it was NARA official who then alerted the DOJ it was likely Trump had documents he shouldn't have had and that was AFTER they worked with the folks at Mar a Lago to add more padlocks to the area that would contain the documents which means they knew he was taking the necessary measures they requested. Almost like a set up, huh? Lastly, Trump's legal team needs to clarify that the picture widely circulated of documents strewn on the floor were not how they were found but was a staged photo (if that's what it was). Because that's the impression people have is that he had them laying out on the floor.

First section of mangled steel removed

deadly ship crash: ‘Complicated process’

Engineers began carefully removing the first twisted hunk of steel from the collapsed part of Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge late Saturday, with the help of several massive cranes. The nearly 50-year-old bridge crashed into the Patapsco River in Maryland on Tuesday, after a massive cargo ship smashed into one of its main supports, killing six construction workers and blocking shipping traffic into the Port of Baltimore. Sparks could be seen flying from the mangled steel on Saturday as workers tried to cut part of the bridge off. Straps will be attached to the piece before it’s loaded onto a barge and taken away, Coast Guard officials said.

Tens of thousands of American families continue to demand justice for what they believe are the wrongful deaths (murders) of loved ones during the COVID-19 pandemic. Such justice soon may be coming due in large part to the dedicated efforts of two attorneys in Florida (working pro bono) to thoroughly research the criminal codes of 25 states to identify crimes committed by various high-level officials and organizations prior to and during the COVID-19 pandemic. One of the attorneys, a former prosecutor, prepared extensive legal briefs (documenting strong evidence of crimes) that have been submitted to the attorneys general of Texas and Florida

I'd like to introduce you to Mohamed Irfaan Ali, President of Guyana. What he did in the face of climate activism being thrown at him has now gone viral (almost 3 million views on the video below) and it isn't hard to see why. BBC host Stephen Sackur essentially asked him during an interview isn't it a bad thing for you guys to extract $150 billion of oil and gas off your coast because of the carbon emissions that would ultimately be released into the atmosphere? Ali's response is just pure gold. He stops Sackur cold and then just rips him a new one. [Video]

An extensive investigation that began in November 2022 targeting an alleged drone-based contraband scheme within Georgia's prisons has resulted in the arrest of 150 individuals, including eight corrections officers. The investigation, dubbed "Operation Skyhawk," uncovered that drones were being used to transport cellphones, drugs, and weapons into Georgia Department of Corrections facilities. Republican Georgia Governor Brian Kemp's office issued a press release on Thursday stating that a collaboration between the Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Safe Streets Gang Task Force resulted in search and arrest warrants being executed at two sites in the Metro Atlanta area.

NYPD Officer Jonathan Diller's funeral was held on Saturday as his family, friends and many officers came together to honor him at the St. Rose of Lima Church in Massapequa Park, New York. Diller was allegedly killed by a man with a long rap sheet--21 prior arrests--during a traffic stop in Queens on Monday. On Thursday, former President Donald Trump attended his wake and visited with the family. On that same day, Joe Biden also visited New York City, snarling traffic for a fundraiser with celebrities, as well as Barack Obama and Bill Clinton. Biden himself has made no formal statement about the death of the officer,

As illegal immigrants continue to flood the United States under President Joe Biden’s wide-open border, nationwide crime has seen an unprecedented spike. Pickpocket illegal immigrant gangs are New York City’s latest sleuth of headaches as the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua and its sidekick, El Salvadoran MS13, are popping up around the city. The New York Police Department is warning residents to watch out for the sticky-fingered illegals as nearly 100 asylum seekers have already been on the NYPD’s radar. This week, an NYPD electronic billboard truck drove through the city warning New Yorkers to be aware of their surroundings and belongings as gangs of illegal immigrants exploit the city.

New York City -- "The light's gone from his eyes." It was 2000, and Sen. Joseph Lieberman, a Democrat from Connecticut, was in full campaign mode. As Al Gore's vice-presidential nominee, Lieberman was preparing to debate Dick Cheney, but Lieberman's son, Matt, was worried about him. He said the words above to Lieberman's wife, Hadassah, who later used them as a wake-up call for her husband. As Lieberman recounted in his 2011 book, "The Gift of Rest," Matt had been concerned that he was not sleeping, and maybe not praying, as he normally would. Matt had said, "His brain is all there, but his soul isn't coming through," Liberman wrote.

The Biden White House, as Sarah covered earlier, on Friday issued "A Proclamation on Transgender Day of Visibility" to take place on Sunday, March 31. That's also Easter Sunday. As a further affront to Christians, the White House is even banning "religious symbols" and "overtly religious themes" as part of their criteria for an Easter egg design contest for the children of National Guard members. And to think we're told that Biden is supposedly a "devout Catholic." On Saturday, Donald Trump's campaign responded to the news, as National Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt called on Biden to apologize for such an "appalling and insulting" move.

The U.S. Constitution? America beat the Nazis to the atomic bomb? Those and many more facts have each arguably changed the course of history and could thus be cited with equal assurance of their relevance. However, there is one fact that not only fundamentally altered human history but defined reality for every person who ever has or ever will live. That fact is the empty tomb of Jesus Christ. Why the empty tomb?

And the one person most responsible for writing and pushing the framework, Jo Boaler, has been the target of a 100-page anonymous complaint that she misrepresented dozens of citations that underpin her research. The CMF is a series of policy and curriculum "suggestions" designed to bring "equity" to the math scores of minority students. Some of Boaler's outrageous suggestions already adopted are almost beyond belief. Julia Steinberg has listed a few in The Free Press. Most students won’t learn algebra until high school. In the past, when that was expected of middle schoolers, the CMF tells us,

A loan that goes to the liar doesn’t go to someone who’s giving a more honest evaluation. So the system becomes incentivized for corruption,” Stewart said. Verdict: False. The amount of money available for loans from banks is not diminished when banks make loans to other customers, except in the rare case of a distressed bank that is capital-constrained. A loan to one customer does not subtract from a fixed pool of loans

They stem from a July 2023 report from the state Reparations Task Force, where Jones-Sawyer served as a member, and underscores efforts to turn controversial policies into a legally-binding compensation scheme.
