The Army is opening the doors to retired soldiers to return to active duty to fill critical worldwide shortages. This follows the Air Force's February announcement that it would allow up to 1,000 retirees, including pilots, to return to active duty for up to four years. The message called an All Army Activities or ALARACT message says:
“A review of commands’ requests for [the] fill of authorized personnel vacancies, in conjunction with current Army manning guidance, prompted review of how the Army can fill key and critical position vacancies,” the document stated, outlining the current situation. “The retiree recall program can be an effective tool to

Perhaps the DEI recruitment is so successful that no one does any real work any more. Maybe they just need people in the Army and Air Force who actually have a work ethic that matters and gets things done.

So here's the chance of a lifetime to return to duty with Trannies, Drag Queens, unqualified recruits, and a command structure that hates white males with a C-in C whose greatest military azchomishment is successfully meeting his mission requirements of filling his Depends twice a day. Who could resist?

We have people in the military but they are all too busy getting hormone injections, having surgeries, and sitting for hair extension appointments to do anything even vaguely "military" in nature.

I'm confused. Is this retiree recall voluntary or mandatory?

I returned to active duty from the retired list in 2006. Financially it was very costly. I no longer drew my military retirement or civilian salary and my disability rating was erased. Plus I was not eligible for promotion and found myself out ranked by shaky reserve officers who were forced out years earlier as underperforming lieutenants.

I would say that you should look out for the leftist and socialist Democrats attempting to pass a law through Congress that allows illegal aliens to be enlisted in the US Army in return for granting them US citizenship and allowing them to bring their foreign family members legally into the USA. In those cases who is to say that their primary allegiance, n large numbers, would be to the USA, or to their home country in a clinch?
Since the vast majority of illegal aliens do not speak and understand much English, most of the US Army positions they would fill are either in the infantry or in support positions such as cooks and truck drivers. With that in mind who is to say that if “the balloon were to go up” resulting in their units being deployed to fight in far off foreign battlefields against enemy countries like China, Iran, and Russia where they easily could be killed or wounded, would not take the easy option to return to their home countries rather than end up being cannon fodder on a foreign battlefield, before as history has shown in the past, that Biden and his crew decide for partisan political purposes to order the US military to “bug out” leaving the battlefield to the enemy. Beyond that, and after the smoke clears, look for Biden and his crew to grant what amounts to an amnesty thus allowing all such foreign origin deserters to return to the USA using their naturalized US citizen or otherwise. In political actions similar to what the Democrats did to allow the Vietnam War deserters and draft dodgers to return to the USA from mainly Canada where they fled to avoid military service in Vietnam in an effort to buy their future votes. Clearly the Democrats and some establishment Republicans did that without a serious thought that over 58,000 US military service members, both draftees and volunteers, lost their lives in Vietnam fighting the North Vietnamese and the Vietcong. That’s my two cents on these issues as a former member of the US Army who spent the entire year of 1968 on the ground in South Vietnam during which about 18,000 members of the US military were killed in Vietnam.

Guess everyone is looking for a few, real men. Glad I retired from the USAF in 1995. Today, I'd probably be court martialed and in prison for how I think and not deal with b.s.

Our police and military put their lives on the line. If saving American lives were a priority for this administration, we wouldn't be having this conversation.
The chaos at Kabul Airport should be burned into the minds of every American who watched desperate human beings fall off that overloaded airplane. It wasn't even the airport we should have used. Do we even know how many American soldiers and Afghanistan translators who worked beside them were left behind? What kind of "leader" prioritizes meeting his timeline over the advice of military officers who warned him not to rush the evacuation? Along with the chaos of loading up planes with people we couldn't identify as friend or foe, our third year of wide open borders attest to the consistently irresponsible decisions made by our Commander in Chief. Who failed to give our military permission to take out the terrorist(s) behind the killing of our 13 service members? No wonder there few takers to join the Biden/Democrat military. Nobody wants to be left behind for no good reason.

Time to bring back the Military Draft for all men and women. It would be good for them to serve two years before spending a ridiculous amount on some very expensive dumb degree from an obscenely priced college and being in debt for the rest of their lives. It works very well in Israel which segregates the genders avoiding issues that come up when they aren't segregated.

This was done during the Viet Nam war and was disruptive to the lives of those that already served. A person does 20 years but is subject to recall to active duty. Stop the unwarranted changes to the military, particularly WOKE. I loved it when the Marine Corps Lieutenant marched his troops to a 'mandatory' drug information seminar. He asked for a schedule, read the schedule, and promptly stated 'this doesn't apply to the Mariene Corp and marched his troops back to barracks. That's my kind of leader.

Not retired but served 11yrs active and another 30 yrs in the marine industry, I would return on a part-time basis to help the USCG, but no less than a LtCdr. (O-4). Should be a Commander (O-5). Perfect to be on District 7 Staff in Marine Safety, Intelligence, or Operations.

Young white males are the backbone of the Armed Services. America's sword arm. They have served and died in every conflict in disproportionate numbers to their demographics. They are being deliberately singled out for abuse, demonization. Condemned as bigots, racist. Pilloried in the media No wonder they are staying away. When my son was in the ROTC, they were required to wear the uniform on campus on every parade day. One day code pink feminists were demonstrating and shouting "Not in my name" in their faces. My son bluntly answered "Don't worry, it isn't".

My gosh! I’ve always respected the knowledge and thorough analysis of #13’s posts but after 20 years of reading them this is the first time I’ve read of his military service let alone that he was in Viet Nam in 1968. To #13, thank you for your sacrifice, your love of this country and your service.

They can call like coyotes in the hills, no patriot worth a spit is going to take orders from the squishy, sexually-confused pile of excrement that currently runs the Pentagon. The perfumed poofters have failed in every way possible.

#8. No, none of us want to be used by elites and betrayed. I very much regret my military service, especially every morning when I get up in pain every morning or start limping after a long day.
I gave my body and years of my life, for what? So Biden and Obama could give back what my friends’ died for to Iran and other Islamic savages?

#23, your service speaks for itself as does the service of your comrades. You answered the call when asked; you didn’t cower or run away or cravenly rack up phony Purple Hearts to further your traitorous political ambitions. No, you met your responsibilities as a citizen as best you could ascertain them. Every ache and pain, every bad memory of lost or maimed friends is a testament to your character. Whether you were called due to a real need or because of the stupidity, cynicism and selfishness of executive leadership doesn’t matter in terms of your sacrifice and many, if not most, Americans appreciate how important patriots like you are. We take the quality of those who have the power to send men and women like you into war very seriously. We also know that when danger comes or an enemy stalks we can count on you and your kind for wisdom and protection and that means a lot. Thank you.

My brother was in the Army and fought in Viet Nam. He recently died. He had Agent Orange. I would like to thank the Viet Nam Vets who came home to a nasty welcome. I'm sorry. I was a young girl at the time, but my mom was very angry on how the returning vets were treated. We patriots/American citizens give you much praise and thanks for going to Viet Nam and serving for us.
We will never forget!
