HOUSTON, Texas -- AccuWeather released its 2024 hurricane outlook forecast, showing this could be an explosive year. What could be lurking in the Gulf of Mexico this summer has AccuWeather meteorologists raising the alarm. "AccuWeather hurricane experts have serious and growing concerns about what can become a supercharged hurricane season this year," AccuWeather Chief Meteorologist Jonathan Porter said. AccuWeather's hurricane forecast shows there could be as many as 25 named storms, upwards of 12 hurricanes, and as many as seven strong hurricanes. It also predicts that upwards of six hurricanes could directly hit the United States. All of those numbers are

Comments:

Progs keep praying for more hurricanes like Ian in 2022. They want to see 'red states' wiped off the map. In reality only a few storms have hit the US in recent years.

If you predict horrendous weather for each year, eventually, after years of being wrong, odds will dictate that you might be right one year.

I live in Massachusetts where we say, if you don’t like the weather, just wait a few minutes. I trust my weather app for temperature only. I can look out the window for the rest. I read about the polar vortex. In February they said March was going to be real cold. It wasn’t. Last week they said it was spinning in the other direction. I didn’t get any further than that.

This is a prediction. Looking into a crystal ball and pulling a number out of their butts. ( After all we have never had hurricanes before.) Whatever happens happens. So be prepared, not scared. Get what you need now. Don't wait for two days out and wonder why you are having problems finding what you need. But always remember it's because of climate change, climate warming, climate BS and not Mother Nature's MO this time of year. The only way to stop hurricanes is to destroy all your electrical appliances and eat bugs. Hurricanes are man made and we deserve all the destruction they bring. Nothing will change until we happily embrace more energy regulations from FJB and eat BBQ mealworms.

Yeah, the FantasyWeather folks keep predicting big storm seasons, that never happen. Sorry, propagandists - there has been absolutely NO change in the number, frequency or intensity of tropical cyclones, either in the Pacific of the Atlantic over the last 150 years. We are AWARE of more storms that stay far at sea and never hit land because of satellites, where many of these storms were only noted by the few passing ships 100 years ago if they never reached land. Weather propaganda is tiresome BS. Here's one of the very best discussions of the facts of "climate change" ever put out. It's a great detailed look at the actual science and the politics and warped "sciencey" stuff, too. I passed this on to my nieces and my other family members, it's that good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmfRG8-RHEI

I prefer my ultra accurate "Weather Window". It is 100% accurate, although it doesn't have a "three day forcast" feature. But often my "Weather Window" is accurate when the computer weather tells me we have "rain, ending in one hour". I look out my "Weather Window" and see, no, it's not raining. But the "Weather Window" tells me that perhaps in half an hour it may rain. I lived on the East Coast for many years, have been through a number of hurricanes. These idiots today are just hyping and ALWAYS estimate very high. Plus, let's suppose that there ARE 10 hurricanes.....the reality is that 7 -9 of them will never touch the US mainland, and probably 6-7 will never touch ANY land, not even a island far away. Just more Climate Crap.

Sorry for the second post, but this is how I watch the weather. If the birds are eating like crazy is a Weather Watch. If the birds disappear and are not singing and the dog doesn't want to go outside is a Weather Warning. Easy, very accurate and they don't need computer models.

Quite the panic mongers. First, if you live in an area that has had hurricanes go through in the last 10 years, you should ALWAYS spend some time on preparedness. It's just common sense. Smart people in Canada put on snow tires in the winter. Duh! Second, we now have path predictions for storms almost two weeks before they become a threat to the US. People should be watching those projections. Third, STOP WAITING TO LEAVE TARGET AREAS UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE! Leave BEFORE the roads get clogged, take spare gas with you. If you have 15 gal. of spare gas and leave before the crowds, you could get from Miami, Florida to Atlanta, Georgia in 10 hours and without needing more gas. Fill up your tank and your spares and you be in St. Louis, Missouri in another 8 hours and completely out of risk. If you towed a small trailer, you could carry water, soda, snacks, non perishable food, changes of clothes, a tent, sleeping bags, and more and be able to hang out for a couple weeks in a campground before you head back. Establish a connection beforehand with your local authorities so you can check conditions BEFORE you head back. What will you do if no road access? no power? no water? limited food? your home is unlivable? ... Much of the personal tragedy associated with hurricanes is due to people being stupid. Yes, great property destruction can result. Much can be rebuilt. Planning is ESSENTIAL.

Joe Bastardi is the only meteorologist who I trust. His Wikipedia entry is a perfect example of how slanted their “contributors” are: Joe Bastardi (born July 18, 1955) is a professional meteorologist and weather forecaster. He is a frequent guest on TV news shows. Bastardi is an outspoken denier of human-induced global warming whose public statements frequently contradict the scientific consensus on climate change.

There is an old saying..."If you are a pessimist long enough, you will eventually be perceived as a Prophet". Weather folks have based their careers upon this. There are only two careers one can have where you can make declarations of absolute surety, be constantly wrong, make more unabashed, unashamed declarations of certainty just as wrong the very next day, yet still draw a phat paycheck...Weatherman, and....Politician. In the last decade the differences between the two has nearly disappeared. Chicken little's/Henny Penny's have declared themselves Wise Owls.

There have been a lot of bad anarchist actions over the years, but one of the ongoing places continues to have issues from activists agitating against what they call "Cop City" in Atlanta. "Cop City" is a facility that is being built in the woods to help better train police. You would think that people would want better-trained officers. But what many of these characters truly want is no police. There has been all kinds of violence and arrests at the site over the past few years as activists occupied the area trying to stop the project from being built

Livermore, Calif. — Most fast food workers in California will be paid at least $20 an hour beginning Monday when a new law is scheduled to kick in giving more financial security to an historically low-paying profession while threatening to raise prices in a state already known for its high cost of living. Democrats in the state Legislature passed the law last year in part as an acknowledgement that many of the more than 500,000 people who work in fast food restaurants are not teenagers earning some spending money, but adults working to support their families. That includes immigrants like Ingrid Vilorio, who said she started working at a McDonald’s shortly

There is no bottom for Democrats to hit, so if you’ve been waiting for one of them to stand up and express outrage about anything related to any of the damaging policies they push, don’t hold your breath. Murdered Americans at the hands of illegal aliens? Yawn. Random women being punched in the face by thugs and goons on the streets of New York? Whatever. Are Americans unable to fill their gas tanks or afford groceries? Who cares? You morons don’t know how good you’ve got it anyway, ingrates. That’s the attitude of Democrats, at least, and they mean it. They hate you. Seriously. Hate them back. Not like you need

Gov. Kathy Hochul said she “understands” why slain NYPD Detective Jonathan Diller’s family is “outraged,” but insisted Saturday she was never told to leave the hero cop’s wake — despite being abruptly told “his blood is on your hands.” “I would do it again, and that’s my job,” said Hochul, defending her decision to attend Diller’s wake a day earlier on Long Island. “We were told the family is welcoming. We always check, and they said to come, and I went. And no one told me to leave,” Hochul also told Politico during an Easter event at the governor’s mansion in Albany.
