New York Attorney General Letitia James is facing mounting pressure to prosecute comedian Jon Stewart after it was revealed that he overvalued his Manhattan home — the same so-called “offense” for which James is prosecuting former President Donald Trump.
Rep. Mike Collins (R-GA), radio host Andrew Wilkow, and Trump attorney Alina Habba are among those calling for “Tish” to show that no one is above the law.
Jon Stewart was recently found to have overvalued his Tribeca duplex by more than 800 percent when he was selling it back in 2014.

She wont. Stewart is a Democrat advocate. Different rules.

She will come out with the usual BS. Trump's actions were malicious, Stewart's were a mistake.

It’s not called two-tiered justice for nothing. Anybody with two halves of a brain knows the whole charade was to get Trump out of the way. What’s Jon Stewart to Missy James?

Its all nice and fun for Rebublicans to talk big and pound their chest like Tarzan but we all know what happens in our two tier Just-Us system.

I hope she won't. Why give the Donks the appearance of being fair, of treating people equally under the law. We know they don't. This makes it obvious and could be used by Trump's attorneys to shoot down ALL of the fine.

They have already indicated that Trump was singled out to make an example for others. None other than the Governor of New York has assured the business community that this standard doesn't apply to anyone else, openly and unambiguously admitting a bill of attender. If equal treatment under the law was the goal they wouldn't have gone after Trump in the first place.

Overpricing a home you are selling is not an issue for the court. It should only be an issue for the potential buyer and his finance agency. I see items for sale overpriced every time I go shopping. If sellers can't set their own price they can't do business, especially with the Biden regime's inflationary policies.

I have never, in my long life, seen a politician seethe with hate like this woman did. I can't call her a lady. It must be a terrible life to have so much hate for a person as she and her cohorts do. I detest democrats but they sure don't run my life.

Letitia cares nothing about fairness or legality. She was paid by George Soros to get Trump and that's her mission in life. Her day will come.

Hochul told New York businesses ‘not to worry’. That was an admission that they designed these phony charges just for Trump.

She owns rental property, I hear. I wonder how she handles her income from it, all the transactions that take place, property values, how she acquires more, etc. Also renters’ rights. It’s all on the level, right?

If they prosecuted everyone who over valued their homes the job would become enormous.
So she picked a former President to make an example of him. And all of that stuff about James running for AG by saying she would get Trump is not applicable. It has nothing to do with TDS or political electoral interference she was just doing her job.

I see that “offense” in in quotes. Shouldn’t “comedian” be in quotes also?

The value of anything is what another is willing to pay for it. Value is determined by the buyer, not the owner/seller. Insurance and mortgage companies have actuaries who determine what actual value is and to advise based on that. The price presented by the seller or the person wanting financial support to maintain ownership is completely irrelevant to the issue of actual value.

Whether she does or she doesn't prosecute, the air is chilled. And that chill runs right down the spine of every single high value net worth citizen in the community.
Whether they will or will not be prosecuted for doing Nothing in particular wrong, aaaallll depends on who has them in their crosshairs.

The pressure should be to drop the ridiculous lawsuit against Donald Trump because neither one would be appropriate or valid. Fair and accepted banking practices are no business of the government, especially a crooked one,

What about the 'Irish House' overevaluation? This piece of trash herself is involved in the over evaluation of that house.
