Here Are 9 Key Moments From Jack Smith’s
Congressional Testimony

Original Article

Former Special Counsel Jack Smith testified before the House Judiciary Committee on Thursday to field questions about his lawfare against President Donald Trump and egregious investigative tactics. And boy was it a doozy. Throughout the more-than-5-hour hearing, Republicans pressed Smith on numerous topics, ranging from his questionable appointment to his subpoenaing the phone records of GOP members of Congress as part of his Arctic Frost probe into Trump. For their part, Democrats did everything imaginable to run interference for Smith and obfuscate his abusive investigations.

Yes, we all know this is Kabuki Theater to please the rubes. He is untouchable, because he served The Deep State. Even though he is here patently revealed as a malicious, treasonous, lying weasel. And the classic PIAPS defense 'Don't recall' is simply a timeworn dodge. It's not don't recall, or even can't recall! It's simply: I WON"T recall...and you can't make me. Nya Nya!

These hearings are strictly theatre. Our congress needs to get to the real work of codifying President Trump's EOs.

Radical leftist agitators ambushed a Los Angeles Police Commission meeting Tuesday, screaming obscenities at officers and accusing the department of being murderers — before viciously turning on a California Post journalist. Around 40 agitators — many of them obscuring their identity with medical masks or keffiyeh scarves — chanted “F–k the police,” assailed officers as “pigs” and shouted anti-law enforcement slogans as their increasingly disruptive antics ground the proceedings to a halt until order was restored a short time later. The unhinged radicals tried to use their intimidation tactics against Post reporter Jamie Paige, who was covering the public meeting, peppering her with insults and attempting to physically block her camera

Trump revealed the “historic investment” while touting the economy and affordability during his remarks in Clive, Iowa. And I think it’s going to pay off very, very big. And if it doesn’t, I have nothing to do with it,” Trump joked, drawing laughs from those in attendance. “But if it does, I’m going to take…full credit.” “I love those excavators, believe it or not, I know a lot about them. We don’t make them here. This is going to be the only excavator entirely made in the United States of America. I love it,” he added.

This level of engineered chaos is unique to Minneapolis. It is the direct consequence of far left agitators, working with local authorities,” Vance wrote in a social media post: His comments came after a Border Patrol agent-involved shooting occurred in the city Saturday, which set off more chaos and saw crowds fill the streets, Breitbart News reported. “What began as a rapid gathering of onlookers quickly devolved into a volatile confrontation, with agitators blocking roads, surrounding vehicles, and forcing federal officers into defensive positions amid a fast‑escalating wave of unrest,” the outlet said.

will spare you a discussion of the hows and whys of my discovery of it, but a little more than a decade ago, I discovered one of the most interesting and informative little books I have ever read. As a student of American politics and public policy and an analyst specializing in the intersection of politics and markets, it’s a book I’d never expected to read, much less to find as fascinating and edifying as I did. As (mostly bad) luck would have it, however, it’s also a tome that explains a great deal about what is going on in our country right now and offers practical advice—to both sides—

Independent journalist Cam Higby, on Saturday, blew the lid off the Minneapolis anti-ICE protests by revealing their training and communications methods, including some very interesting specifics. Mr. Higby also presents what is claimed to be the entire training manual for these patrols.: Both of these threads bear reading, but here are a few key points: These training materials and the setup of this online system indicate that someone with some money is behind all this. These materials mention "patrol training" and mention the use of the Signal chat system. Mr. Higby presents some rather sophisticated maps, with the city broken up into patrol zones, based loosely, they say,

The Washington Post could shut down its entire sports section after management informed staffers that it was abruptly scrapping its planned coverage of the 2026 Winter Olympics two weeks before the opening ceremony. The decision by the Jeff Bezos-owned publication to cancel coverage of the Winter Games coincides with a report from Puck News journalist Dylan Byers, who tweeted on Saturday that “massive layoffs” at the paper were imminent. According to Byers, there is increased chatter that the Washington Post’s “sports desk could be shuttered entirely” and that its “foreign desk will be hit hard too.” A Washington Post spokesperson was not immediately available to comment.

In my column last week about the situation in Iran (“The Fog of Prewar in Iran”), I wrote: Many commentators, noting Trump’s oft-proclaimed desire for “peace on earth,” believe he has paused to see if negotiations with Iran might end the slaughter. I doubt it. Trump’s desire for peace is perfectly genuine. But I note that the last time he said he wanted “peace on earth” was when he was asked whether he had any New Year’s resolutions just a couple of weeks ago. That was mere hours before he unleashed hell against the Venezuelan tyrant Nicolás Maduro, extracting him and his wife —

He went on to reaffirm New York’s status as a sanctuary city and pushed lies about ICE arresting people without showing warrants. It’s amazing that New York City is going down this road just as a daycare centered fraud scandal is on the verge of unseating the governor and attorney general in Minnesota.

Prominent Republicans and gun rights advocates helped elicit a White House turnabout this week after bristling over the administration’s characterization of Alex Pretti, the second person killed this month by a federal officer in Minneapolis, as responsible for his own death because he lawfully possessed a weapon. The death produced no clear shifts in U.S. gun politics or policies, even as President Donald Trump shuffles the lieutenants in charge of his militarized immigration crackdown. But important voices in Trump’s coalition have called for a thorough investigation of Pretti’s death while also criticizing inconsistencies in some Republicans’ Second Amendment stances.
