CNN’s Scott Jennings poured cold water on the outlet’s DNC panel, reminding them of the harsh reality Democrats must contend with.
As the left is riding the high of their convention, it’s clear that they are desperate to maintain this momentum until November. A quick reality check exposes why they need smoke and mirrors to make Vice President Kamala Harris look appealing.

“She’s in the White House right now. Democrats have controlled the White House for 12 of the last 16 years, and for all the talk about division and the problems with the country and people are hurting, Democrats have mostly controlled this country.

The Atlantic Ocean is now cooling at a record speed, leading climate alarmists absolutely baffled.
While temperatures in the ocean were recently reaching record highs, that trend has gone into reverse over the past year, confusing scientists and those warning about an impending global catastrophe.
The New Scientist explains:
Over the past three months, the shift from hot to cool temperatures in the equatorial Atlantic Ocean has happened at record speed. This emerging “Atlantic Niña” pattern comes just ahead of an expected transition to a cooler La Niña in the Pacific Ocean, and these back-to-back events could have ripple effects on weather worldwide.

It's been a bit of an eventful day for and in the State of Arizona Thursday. While the DNC is wrapping in Chicago, former President Donald Trump is touring the Southern border in Cochise County, Arizona. Just ahead of his press conference there, the U.S. Supreme Court issued an order staying a lower court ruling and allowing the Arizona law requiring proof of citizenship when registering to vote to go into effect. And on top of that, there's an active manhunt going on for an individual who threatened to assassinate Trump while in Arizona.
Despite the manhunt, Trump proceeded with the event,

There's breaking news on the story of the Arizona man who allegedly said he sought to kill former President Donald Trump at the U.S.- Mexico border, after a frantic manhunt ensued while the Republican nominee visited Cochise County Thursday.
A manhunt is underway in Arizona, where Cochise County officials are looking for Ronald Lee Syrvud, a 66-year-old man who has threatened to kill a presidential candidate. It's being reported that the candidate is Donald Trump, and that Syrvud intended to attempt to assassinate Trump today during an appearance in Cochise County.
As my colleague Jennifer Van Laar noted in her piece, Trump was speaking with county law enforcement officials

Oddly enough, there’s really only one thing both Kamala Harris and Donald Trump agree on: Joe Biden has been a disaster as President of the United States. Both Harris and Trump promise to undo much of what Biden has done, which is a good thing. But it’s a little bit weird that one of those candidates helped implement those policies in the first place. It’s going to be interesting to see how Kamala distances herself from, well, herself and Joe Biden.
What should they undo? Well, all of it, honestly. Joe Biden’s 4 years in the White House should be wiped clean from the history books.

The news that third party presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. may endorse former President Donald Trump Friday -- when he plans to drop out of the 2024 race for the White House -- is not going over well in Democratic circles.
According to Kennedy's vice presidential running mate Nicole Shanahan, Democrats are panicking over the potential move.
"My old Dem buddies have been flooding me with frantic calls, texts, and emails. Unlike Ro, I wouldn’t dream of airing those private conversations publicly, but the message is clear: they’re terrified of the idea of our movement joining forces with Donald Trump.

Several news outlets are reporting on a story that Donald Trump called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on August 14 to discuss the ongoing ceasefire negotiations with Hamas.
According to Axios, the story was supposedly confirmed by "two unnamed U.S. sources who were briefed on the call." "PBS Newshour" ran with the story with host Judy Woodruff claiming, "The reporting is that former President Trump is on the phone with the Prime Minister of Israel, urging him not to cut a deal right now, because it’s believed that would help” Kamala Harris.
If Trump had made the call, he would have been in violation of the Logan Act,

More than three years after Jake Lang was locked up in the D.C. gulag and moved around to multiple prisons to make it difficult for his attorneys to find him, the January 6 protester now faces new charges. However, he hasn't faced trial yet for the first round of charges against him. Lang has been awaiting trial for his activities on January 6, 2021, while locked up for three-plus years.
During his years in prison, Lang has been put in solitary confinement and "the hole" multiple times. He's kept his head up, led efforts to get aid to other January 6 defendants including financial help,

Politics ain't beanbag, they say. No, it can be quite a nasty business (which makes me question my fascination with it at times). Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his running mate Nicole Shanahan can attest to that, as Shanahan notes in a recent interview she gave to Tom Bilyeu on his "Impact Theory" podcast.
Rumors are swirling that Kennedy is about to bow out of the race — and he's now announced his intention to deliver an address Friday afternoon in Phoenix, Arizona.
Initially, there were rumors that RFK Jr. was in talks with both the Trump and Harris campaign,

One of the many problems of the Biden-Harris time in office is their refusal to accept reality on critical issues.
They denied inflation was happening. Then when it was undeniable, they blamed everyone else and refused to admit how their policies sparked it. They denied that the Afghanistan withdrawal was a disaster, then lied about not leaving until they got everyone out. They claimed until this January that the "border was secure"; then, they immediately flipped around and blamed Republicans after denying there was ever any issue.
It's a feature not a bug with Biden and Harris. But they just got nailed on another big whopper

The latest faux controversy to envelop Donald Trump’s campaign has to do with the history of a small town in Michigan. The Democrats want to turn a Trump visit into a renewed debate about white supremacy.
If only they’d checked who’d visited before Trump did.
Howell, Michigan, is the county seat of Livingston County, which contains a not insignificant share of Detroit’s suburbs. That makes it key for both Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris to carry the area if they want to win a state that has, over the past few election cycles, been decided by razor-thin margins.

Make no mistake about it, there are deep divisions within the Democratic Party. Biden loyalists, and indeed, Joe Biden himself, are still angry at how he was pushed out of the race, and then, adding insult to injury, his Swan Song was pushed to 11:30pm ET Monday night—well after primetime. Meanwhile, signs of Bidenworld plotting revenge stick out like a sore thumb.
After his outward display of unity, Biden promptly hightailed it to California for yet another vacation—an obvious snub of Barack Obama, who was one of the key figures who forced him out, as well as Kamala Harris, who is set to accept her party's nomination for president Thursday evening.
