There Are A Lot of Brandons

Original Article

Let’s go, Brandon, and all you establishment jerks are Brandon. The beauty of “Let’s Go, Brandon” is how it not only captures the utter contempt that America has for our alleged president, who is currently polling about as well as Michael Moore would be among Golden Corral managers, but how it captures what is either unbelievable cluelessness among the media, or unbelievable mendacity. Probably some of both. NASCAR driver Brandon Brown, who had more successfully driven in circles than the other guys he was driving in circles with in whatever the Xfinity Series at Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama is, was being interviewed by NBC Sports reporter Kelli Stavast.

Poor Brandon! He won his big race, and now he's a by-line, a poor substitute for the vulgarity of condemnation. Vulgarity catches the ear and then the mind makes the analysis. It's funny how the "dirty words" make us chuckle rather than rage, which is the opposite of it's intended target! But i agree with #2! it must be F--- Joe Biden!

We’re coming up on another election of national importance—the Virginia governor’s race is November 2. My friends are hopefully suggesting on social media that this will be the election that turns things around, where the full anger of the common folk at being bossed around by autocratic overlords finally manifests itself and we throw the bums out.Mind you, they were saying the same thing with the same hope about the California recall election. And I said at the time, weeks before the vote was tallied, there was no point in hoping that patriotic anger would outbalance the massive machinery at work behind the scenes: Your votes didn’t matter

Jon Gruden is no longer the coach of the Las Vegas Raiders. This comes after a trove of emails from a decade ago showed the Super Bowl-winning coach using coarse language. Anti-gay, misogynistic, and racially charged rhetoric was used in the emails. So, it was a classic problematic word salad that the media feasts upon. It gave a chance for the ‘woke’ to rail against the NFL, sports, and white people again. Yet, let’s be clear—the emails are bad but it’s minor league compared to other scandals and shenanigans that have hit the league. Gruden resigned last night. Move on—it’s over. Donald Trump’s 2016 victory was a shock to much of the country, but Silicon Valley took it especially hard. The progressive bastion of San Francisco had turned tech companies from libertarian idealists into liberal crusaders. Lawmakers passed the stopgap measure approved in the Senate last week, which will be promptly signed by President Joe Biden. The vote was structured in such a way that members voted on a rule governing floor debate on three separate measures, allowing politically vulnerable lawmakers some cover,

In new draft guidance, the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (UPSTF) said that recent evidence has shown the risks of side effects far outweigh any potential benefits for seniors. This means that low-dose, or baby, aspirin should only be taken daily by patients have had a heart attack or stroke in the past or by younger adults with no bleeding risks. If finalized, the advice would backtrack on recommendations the panel issued in 2016 for helping prevent a first heart attack and stroke

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas issued new orders Tuesday halting ICE from going after large numbers of illegal immigrants at job sites, saying it is a waste of resources and actually helps unscrupulous employers abuse unauthorized workers. Mr. Mayorkas said he wants his department’s three immigration agencies to come up with new strategies to target employers while leaving the illegal immigrants unscathed. But those solutions are in the future. For now, he said, “mass worksite operations” must cease. “The deployment of mass worksite operations, sometimes resulting in the simultaneous arrest of hundreds of workers, was not focused on the most pernicious aspect of our country’s unauthorized employment challenge: exploitative employers,”

When the Biden administration looked for ways to pay for the president’s expansive social policy bill, it proposed raising revenue by cracking down on $7 trillion in unpaid taxes, mostly from wealthy Americans and businesses. To help find those funds, the administration wants banks to give the Internal Revenue Service new details on their customers and provide data for accounts with total annual deposits or withdrawals worth more than $600. That has sparked an uproar among banks and Republican lawmakers, who say giving the IRS such power would be an enormous breach of privacy and government overreach. Banks and their

Joe Biden’s enterprising son, Hunter, has a creative side. He’s an artist. It’s not unusual for people in the public eye to have an artsy side. Winston Churchill comes to mind. Angelina Jolie recently parted with an original Churchill for about $11 million, which is probably more than she got when she parted with her last husband. But, of course, the last husband probably wasn’t as original as Churchill. And besides, Churchill won WWII, while I’m guessing Jolie’s last husband lost WWIII.
