Constitutional law professor Jonathan Turley weighed in on Letitia James’ latest move to seize Trump’s assets.
Marxist New York Attorney General Letitia James on Thursday took the initial step to seize Trump’s assets. She filed judgments in Westchester County where Trump’s private estate and golf course is located.
President Trump has until Monday to either pay the judgment or convince the appellate court to allow him to defer the payment pending appeal.
Turley said James’ effort to seize his assets and padlock Trump Tower is not likely to happen because Trump’s properties are complex partnerships with leveraged debt.

Next AG James will create debtor prisons for those who can't pay the court fines. Makes logical sense for Commie James and her gal pal Judge Engoran. Get the popcorn ready. We are about to see a judicial circle jerk.

At the end of the day, James and other lawfare litigants don't care if they win their cases. To them all that matters are slowing the GOP down and tainting Trump's reputation enough to turn supporters from putting him back in the White House.

Trump will be in office before James and Engoron get their filthy hands on one dime. You know they have some of that money earmarked for their personal use and anything that is not liquid will be much harder to flip.

She will do whatever the court lets her do, which is quite a bit. Higher courts will reverse things, but not before the November election. Their strategy to hamstring Trump seems to be working. Will it be enough, come November? That is anyone's guess.

The irony here is that in trying to hamstring Trump, they are making him a martyr. In do doing they are causing a lot of people they count on to leave the Commucrat plantation. Further, by trying to keep him off the campaign trail, they are giving him tons of news coverage of his martyrdom, thereby enraging even more people, causing them to don the red cap, which, interestingly, was the same color as the French revolutionaries when they stormed the Bastille! This year is going to be a lot of things, but dull is not one of them!

More than anything, this is about trying Trump in the court of public opinion. They want more Trump haters and to keep the ones they already have. It's an effective tactic. They don't have to actually do anything to Trump.

Turley is a pretty smart fellow, but he forgets that New York doesn't care about the law or what is right, this whole trial should have shown him that they can do pretty much whatever they want to do.
