A 21-year-old woman faces arson and burglary charges in New Braunfels, Texas, after she allegedly tried to burn down a county Republican Party headquarters.
Grace Carol Brown, 21, was arrested Thursday by the New Braunfels Police Department on suspicion of arson and burglary after employees at the Comal County Republican Party headquarters discovered the building had been broken into and a small fire had been set, according to a Friday release. Texas Republican Party Chairman Abraham George told the Daily Caller News Foundation the incident was “troubling” and praised authorities for their “swift response.”

A snowplow driver in Cincinnati, Ohio, is being lavished with praise for his role in helping rescue a sick newborn during a harsh winter storm.
The incident happened Sunday when Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) driver Joe Estes got an important phone call, Fox 19 reported Monday.
An ambulance needed to get the sick infant, named Bryson, to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital for care, but the roads were so bad the vehicle could not make it there.
Estes knew time was of the essence for baby Bryson and got to work clearing miles of roadway as the ambulance carrying the newborn followed him.
President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Tuesday to expedite rebuilding in the Pacific Palisades and Eaton Canyon after wildfires ravaged the Los Angeles communities in January 2025.
According to a White House fact sheet, the order directs the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Administrator Karen Evans and the Small Business Administration (SBA) Administrator Kelly Loeffler to establish regulations preempting procedural permitting requirements at the state and local levels.

The FBI has launched a formal investigation into encrypted Signal group chats that anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement activists in Minneapolis allegedly used to track, identify, and interfere with federal law enforcement officers, FBI Director Kash Patel said Monday.
