The Pentagon’s Lack Of Loyalty To President Trump

Original Article

Posted By: Christopher L, 10/4/2023 2:00:06 PM

During the Trump presidency, Pentagon officials refused to follow orders, substituting their own policies over the constitutionally ordained authority of their Commander in Chief. We know that officials lied about troop strength in Syria, attempted to undermine and kill the peace initiative with the Taliban in Afghanistan, and refused to call out the military to quell civil unrest during the George Floyd riots. This is gross insubordination.

Comments:

The lack of loyalty to the Chief Executive of the Government of the United States of America was not limited to only the Pentagon.

Unelected bureaucrats will either be dealt with or we are done. I have detected their condescending arrogance when talking to long time federal employees in my OWN family.

When the bosses at the IRS FBI DOJ etc can sit in front of the peoples elected congressman and condescend or out right lie without an ounce of worry everyone on down the food chain will do the same thing. Until one of these filthy ba$$terdes are put against the wall nothing will change.

There are a lot of people that President Trump needs to send home on the afternoon of January 20, 2025 with instructions not to do anything until notified. We may end up paying a lot of them not to work. And find out we didn't really get anything from them when they did work. In fact, it would be nice if a couple truckloads of cardboard boxes arrived about that time saying "Compliments of President Trump and a Grateful America." Along with a box that can be checked saying "Contents Inspected by __________" and those boxes offered to all those sent home that day.

There is one way to get loyalty from the Pentagon leadership, and that is to strip their stripes. Do it! We don't need woke leading our military.

From reading the whole article and the litany of instances of insubordination and instances where presidents have used the military to quell domestic violence, it appears Trump has some culpability in not acting decisively, as did Truman relative to MacArthur's insubordination, also referenced in the article. The author ignores or underestimates the degree of support I believe Trump has from a majority of our service men and women outside of DC.

If you all will recall, Obama fired all the conservative military leaders and replaced them with the soft-headed, treasonous ones. Now we know why. If Trump returns to the presidency, he will have to clean house in the Pentagon as well as in the various cabinets, starting with State and then Justice.

Dems have been putting politically leftist, pliable, politically motivated officers in place for a long time. The upper ranks of the US military is shot through with leftist drones with political motives more than with patriots.

Is that so, #10? If I were as “unfocused” as President Trump, I’d be a very wealthy person, with an excellent track record of accomplishment during my four years as president. We should all be so “unfocused.”

One man can't do it all. Our country has been rotting since before Vietnam. EVERY oath taker in EVERY position who stood by and did nothing, who were more concerned with their own skin instead of the oath they took, is part of the problem. Every idiot Republican who is interviewed by the media and doesn't prepare a rebuttal to the gotcha questions, is part of the problem. Most of all the ' watchdogs ' who did not do their job and expose these traitors, Of course when the DOJ congress and the WH are infested by demons, it makes the job harder, but Trump did what he could, he needed more than lip service from a few and zero action by many to confront and punish people who literally would have been shot or hung in other times.

When Trump arrived in DC for his Inaugeration in 2016 he was a one man show against the DC UniParty and the intrenched career bureaucracies that make up the federal “swamp”. Trump cannot allow that to happen again, and when reelected and Trump arrives in DC he must have with him a loyal and veteran crew. Once reelected he could call all those politicized military officers back to active duty and bring criminal charges against them by way of General Court Marshals. See Section 88 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and her leftist comrades moan about “Donald Trump’s fake-electors scheme” as if it were a cutting-edge conspiracy concocted at his Mar-a-Lago compound in the wee small hours of the morning. In fact, “fake electors” are neither new nor nefarious. And they are not fake, either. Believe it or not, a Congressional Research Service paper discusses how to proceed when a state sends to Washington two separate slates of presidential electors — as has happened in the past! CRS spelled this out on December 8, 2020 in a 13-page document titled “Counting Electoral Votes:

In his New York Times opinion piece titled “The U.S. Reassessment of Netanyahu’s Government Has Begun,” Thomas Friedman wrote that he likes to say of his job that he is “a translator from English to English”: He takes complex things and renders them understandable. … As Friedman explains it, the judicial reform proposed by Benjamin Netanyahu’s right-wing coalition poses a grave threat to democracy... If you read Hebrew, you can hear some protesters and their backers in the country’s establishments announcing their intentions more or less explicitly: Democracy is the very thing they are out to prevent.

The present and growing dark age: According to the watchdogs who run the website Retraction Watch, the number of peer-reviewed scientific papers that have been retracted each year has risen from 40 in 2000 to 5,500 in 2022, an astonishing increase of 13,750%. I think the watchdogs are missing the major and much more basic source for this problem. Since the 1990s the academic community has largely abandoned — even condemned — the fundamental concepts of the Enlightenment, which established the scientific method with its unwavering dedication to finding the truth, no matter where it led.

This week, the University of Chicago’s Institute of Politics (IOP) and The Atlantic magazine hosted a “Disinformation and the Erosion of Democracy” conference, and we have to hand it to IOP Director David Axlerod for bringing in true experts on the subject. The conference featured some of America’s greatest purveyors of disinformation, such as Barack Obama, Brian Stelter, Anne Applebaum, and a few token conservatives, including Jonah Goldberg and Adam Kinzinger. The media, government, and academia elites speaking at the conference weren’t expecting to be challenged as they self-righteously spewed more lies—but our team at the Chicago Thinker was prepared to hold them accountable. CORRECTIONS*

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - A judge has tossed the case against one of 18 people cited in Colorado Springs after a Black Lives Matter protest on Interstate 25, calling it a violation of her free-speech rights. El Paso County Court Senior Judge Stephen Sletta on Wednesday dismissed the lone misdemeanor filed against 21-year-old Molly Avion. In a two-page ruling, he found that the state statute used against her — which makes it illegal to obstruct highways — was overly broad in a way that could chill the exercise of the First Amendment and invite “arbitrary” enforcement.CORRECTIONS*

President Joe Biden announced Wednesday that he approved $9 billion in student loan forgiveness for 125,000 Americans. The relief is a result of his administration's fixes to a number of programs, including the income-driven repayment plans and Public Service Loan Forgiveness. More than $5 billion of the aid will go to 53,000 borrowers who've worked in public service for a decade or more; $2.8 billion of the forgiveness is for 51,000 borrowers enrolled in income-driven repayment plans; and another $1.2 billion of the cancellation will go to 22,000 borrowers with disabilities. The announcement is likely to help Biden as he runs for reelection, experts say.

To me, this story sums up the entire Biden presidency: take something simple and screw it up. For most people, a dog in the household brings joy and unconditional love and also gives the owner a responsibility to make sure the canine is cared for and healthy. But Joe Biden can’t even seem to get that right, as his dog Commander has a fondness for biting people—and as my colleague Jeff Charles reported in September, he has a special taste for Secret Service agents. He has chomped on them at least 12 times since 2021, and now he’s been caught on camera:
