The Alliance Defending Freedom has asked the Colorado Supreme Court to find in favor of a Christian baker who refused to make “a custom-designed cake, pink on the inside and blue on the outside, to reflect and celebrate a gender transition.” ... In a supplemental filing, the ADF cited its recent victory in 303 Creative LLC v. Elenis, where the U.S. Supreme Court held Colorado could not force a Christian web designer “to create expressive designs speaking messages with which the designer disagrees.”

Colorado's Supreme Court will NOT follow the law, again, just as they did with Jack Phillips and his refusal to condone homosexual marriage. This is what happens when you let the left run wild...

Jack Philips is being targeted by a lawyer who changed his sex a while back. He has filed multiple complaints against Philips which the state of Colorado happily pursues. Philips himself told me that this dude in a dress (my term, not Jack's) has said he'll continue to harass Philips until he "corrects his thinking."

This week, the University of Chicago’s Institute of Politics (IOP) and The Atlantic magazine hosted a “Disinformation and the Erosion of Democracy” conference, and we have to hand it to IOP Director David Axlerod for bringing in true experts on the subject. The conference featured some of America’s greatest purveyors of disinformation, such as Barack Obama, Brian Stelter, Anne Applebaum, and a few token conservatives, including Jonah Goldberg and Adam Kinzinger. The media, government, and academia elites speaking at the conference weren’t expecting to be challenged as they self-righteously spewed more lies—but our team at the Chicago Thinker was prepared to hold them accountable. CORRECTIONS*

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - A judge has tossed the case against one of 18 people cited in Colorado Springs after a Black Lives Matter protest on Interstate 25, calling it a violation of her free-speech rights. El Paso County Court Senior Judge Stephen Sletta on Wednesday dismissed the lone misdemeanor filed against 21-year-old Molly Avion. In a two-page ruling, he found that the state statute used against her — which makes it illegal to obstruct highways — was overly broad in a way that could chill the exercise of the First Amendment and invite “arbitrary” enforcement.CORRECTIONS*

Hillary Clinton blames 'MAGA Republicans'

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton took to Twitter on Tuesday to blast "MAGA Republicans" for the recent summer heat wave hitting communities nationwide. Clinton's social media post came in response to a tweet from left-wing think tank Center for American Progress which stated "MAGA Republicans are pouring fuel on the climate crisis fire." The post included an image of recent media stories highlighting the recent spate of high temperatures in the U.S. and noted Republicans voted against the Inflation Reduction Act, Democrats' $739 billion climate package — which President Biden signed into law in 2022. "Hot enough for you? Thank a MAGA Republican. Or better yet, vote them out of office,"

Former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta has no regrets signing the now-infamous open letter heavily suggesting the Hunter Biden laptop was Russian disinformation. Panetta was among the dozens of former intelligence officials sounding the alarm on Russia's interference in the 2020 presidential election after the New York Post published its bombshell reporting about then-candidate Joe Biden's son, shedding light on shady foreign business dealings. After several news organizations authenticated the laptop's contents, CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins asked the ex-Obama official Monday night whether he wished he never signed the letter "given what we know now."

When Joe Biden tapped Kamala Harris to be his running mate in 2020, it was perhaps the most easily predicted vice presidential choice in recent memory. Biden had made it clear that after emerging from the most diverse Democratic presidential candidate field in history, he would select a woman to join him on the ticket. The dynamics of the Democratic Party, which relies heavily on the votes of African American women to win elections, made it seem likely that Biden would select a running mate from this demographic group, especially as the murder of George Floyd brought race issues to the top of the public agenda.

The tragic death of the Obamas' private chef Tafari Campbell has left family and friends reeling in shock and struggling to understand how he came into trouble on a seemingly calm body of water. Campbell, 45, was a competent swimmer who drowned on Sunday night while paddle boarding on the pond next to the Obamas' $12million home. The couple were not in the house at the time but were elsewhere on the island, their office confirmed today. Police do not suspect foul play, but many questions surrounding the accident remain unanswered.

Some would call this an interesting at coincidence while others may suspect something more. It turns out that Barack and Michelle Obama were on Martha’s Vineyard at the same time their personal chef drowned under mysterious circumstances. Obama’s office previously claimed that the former president and his wife were not present at the residence when Tafari drowned. Now they are altering the story to say they were indeed on the property. The Gateway Pundit reported Monday night that the body of a 45-year-old paddle boarder was found in a pond on Obama’s Martha’s Vineyard mansion.

President Joe Biden’s relationship with the truth is, at best, tenuous. This last week has been another eye-opener. With endless reports on Hunter Biden’s business dealings, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Tuesday said, “I’ve been asked this question a million times. The answer is not going to change. The answer remains the same: The President was never in business with his son. I just don’t have anything else to add.”Well, that’s a far cry from what Biden said in 2019. “I’ve never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings,”

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy predicted Republicans will gather enough evidence soon to mount an impeachment inquiry against President Biden, as the corruption scandal enveloping him and his son Hunter continues to grow. McCarthy, R-Calif., made reference to a relatively new revelation from the House Oversight Committee that – while Joe was vice president – Hunter Biden "capitalized" on a financial relationship with a Romanian national later convicted on corruption charges. According to prepared remarks from House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., in June, the Bidens received more than $1 million in 17 increments.

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) has called upon the Republican donor class to start pressuring low-polling GOP candidates into dropping out of the 2024 presidential race to defeat Trump. Romney issued his call in a Wall Street Journal op-ed published Monday. He said that the donor class needs to pressure candidates with no path to drop out by February of next year at the very latest.“Despite Donald Trump’s apparent inevitability, a baker’s dozen Republicans are hoping to become the party’s 2024 nominee for president,” he wrote. “That is possible for any of them if the field narrows to a two-person race before Mr. Trump has the nomination sewn up.”
