House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan issued a subpoenaFriday for a Virginia prosecutor who has been accused of ignoring threats that were made against White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller. Jordan opened the probe into Arlington County and the City of Falls Church prosecutor Parisa Dehghani-Tafti last year, which focuses on her handling of a doxing and intimidation case that was brought against left-wing activist Barbara Wien.[snip] Dehghani-Tafti has been accused of "stymying the investigation"[snip]sided with Wien's defense team's request[snip]limit the information state police could share with the FBI.

Philanthropist and fundraiser George Pond is expanding President Donald Trump's 2025 National Day of Prayer Proclamation, encouraging intentional and frequent prayer for the nation through a new effort called the 7:14 Initiative.
"We've been doing this since May 2024. We've been praying every day. We haven't stopped. May 2 will be our 714th day, and we will continue to pray, and a lot of it has to do with basically focusing on unpacking the principles built into scripture."
The initiative, which urges believers to spend 14 minutes in prayer, seven days a week, at 7:14 a.m., has expanded to participants across four time zones,

CBS News’ latest round of cuts under editor-in-chief Bari Weiss claimed a handful of anchors and correspondents — with more top talent to come in later weeks.
Sources told The Post that some of the network’s Friday casualties include correspondent Elaine Quijano, who was also weekend morning anchor for New York; Dallas-based correspondent Omar Villafranca; Los Angeles-based correspondent Nidia Cavazos; Las Vegas-based correspondent Andres Gutierrez; national correspondent Dave Malkoff; and Karen Hua, a national reporter in Houston.
They join Washington, DC-based reporter Nick Kurtz and political reporter Hunter Woodall, who announced that they were let go on X. The DC bureau lost above five staff total,

CBS News Radio — the century-old home of legendary journalists Walter Cronkite and Edward R. Murrow — is shutting down as network boss Bari Weiss continues to reshape the struggling news network, cutting 6% of its workforce in a Friday bloodbath that claimed 60 to 70 jobs.
Weiss and CBS News President Tom Cibrowksi said Friday that CBS Radio will shut down May 22 with all roles in the unit eliminated — a move that was driven by industry shifts and financial pressure from David Ellison, CEO of CBS parent Paramount Skydance.

For the past three weeks, the Protection Racket Media has had a field day speculating that the war with Iran would split the MAGA base and infuriate those who demand America First policies. Poll after poll has contradicted that speculation. It turns out that the better question might be whether the war is splitting Donald Trump's opposition.
Politico published a new poll this morning, taken this week, even while Iran forced a strangulation of shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. The poll shows sharp support for the war among Republicans, and even more robust support among self-identified MAGA voters, as previous surveys from NBC News and CNN
