Trump Floated Like A Butterfly And Stung

The first presidential debate on Tuesday was also the first bit of fun we’ve had in a while. (Snip) like Muhammad Ali, the heavyweight boxing legend, the president floated like a butterfly and stung like a bee. A masculine force at full tilt, Trump provided plenty of energy and entertainment as he blattered Joe Biden, while being funny in the process. (Snip) Soy-boy Ben Shapiro was having none of the fun stuff. Glum and sanctimonious, Shapiro tweeted out: “I literally have no idea who won this debate. I just know we all lost.” Deep, man. The self-styled philosopher-king’s funereal pronouncement received the benefit of a Michelle Malkin reenactment.

Why is Ilana Mercer picking on Ben Shapiro? Let him alone, he is young yet, but as such one of the most prolific Man of Reason speakers I have listened to. (And to think that my son introduced me to Shapiro.) Today is the first I ever heard of Mercer of the Impressive Bibliography, so that indicates there is room on the planet for Mercer AND Shapiro.

1 and 2 are right on the money. Trump was undisciplined and bombastic for all the wrong reasons and it hurts us all. He also blew the "critical race theory" question: Identity politics now give the lie to MLK's character comment. Whites are now expected to confess to racism and apologize to blacks. And the 1619 Project is pernicious and dangerous. How hard is that to say? As for Shapiro, he's a good conservative who calls it like it is, even when we don't like the answer. He's said for a year that if the election's about Trump, Trump loses. If it's about Biden, Biden loses. Right now, guess who's losing?

I came up with my own boxing analogy after the debate. Trump, the defending champ, spent 90 minutes throwing a flurry of jabs, but never threw a haymaker. Dementia Joe, the challenger, spent the whole night bobbing, weaving and running away from Trump, trash talking as he ran. And any time it looked like Bite-me was about to get set up for that roundhouse punch, Wallace, the referee, would call time out,to save the stumblebum from getting clobbered, and even threw a few jabs of his own at Trump. Trump won on points, but it was an ugly win, and ugly wins aren't popular with boxing fans.

For the last 150 years we have not had a Republican who fought back. All of Biden's assertions were MSM talking points. None of Biden's assertions were factual. Biden had no policy to espouse; his theme was Orange Man Bad. He does not want to defund the Police. [Sure] He does not want to do away with electricity [sure]. He does not want to pack SCOTUS [sure]. He is a good catholic [sure]. Trump had no plan. Trump just sat on his golf course. Lie after lie after lie. At least Reagan came back with quips. Bush I did not fight. Bush II did not fight. The losing Pubbie candidates did not even have gloves on. It was two against one, and little Chrissie lost. Next time it will be different. Trump will be a hostile witness, with no microphone, and two cards; YES and NO. He will not be allowed to speak. And the moderator will be a former Biden aide. This is the only way Biden can win.

#9, your conservative bona fides are well known and appreciated on this site. If it helps, I'm getting micro-flamed on another thread for making similar observations and suggestions. We all want Trump to win. Some of us want it enough to offer constructive thoughts about how to win elections by not unnecessarily alienating potential voters. However, I'm not sure President Trump could change even if he wanted to. And maybe, as I sincerely hope, he can still win even if he doesn't. We will know soon enough.

It sounds like some of you want Trump to play the dems' game. Well, he isn't about to lay down and get stomped. Did none of you hear Bite me call Trump a fool, among other things? And you want him to say "Gracious me, please don't call me names!" That's what you come across as. Trump is Trump, and I wouldn't change him, for the world. He is a fighter, and that's what we have needed for many years. Now that we have someone who fights back, you would tie his hands because he doesn't act like a gentleman?

the two most-fun things so far this year were the RNC, especially the fireworks and the inflammatory singing, and this day when Trump leaves the hospital and we are levitating. In between the main fun is his Twitter feed. no wonder the Dems want it shut down. It is a joy. They have turned off all the happiness and parties and holidays but they cannot shut him down. Because he is President of the United States and he is bigger than they are.

whitepaper obtained first by The Federalist suggests Special Counsel John Durham botched the investigation of a second Russia collusion hoax, the one concerning Yota cellphones. In a scandal linked to the Spygate operation, Hillary Clinton cronies peddled to the CIA fake evidence they claimed established Donald Trump and his associates were using the Russian-made Yota cellphones in the vicinity of the White House and other key locations. The news of this operation broke during the special counsel’s prosecution of former Clinton campaign attorney Michael Sussmann. However, the just-obtained Yota whitepaper that was supposed to undergird Sussmann’s claims differs substantially from the memoranda documenting what Sussmann supposedly said to the CIA.

A person can make a compelling case that dropping unsuspecting migrants off in places like Chicago or San Francisco is cruel, but Martha’s Vineyard? Isn’t it more humane to send migrants to well-heeled communities than to allow them to live in “squalor” in makeshift tent cities under highway overpasses? Because I rarely hear the left worry about the latter. Then again, why has a story about 50 migrants spending a couple of days on Martha’s Vineyard garnered far more coverage and outrage from left media and punditry media than 51 migrants being cooked alive in a tractor-trailer only last month? Why is it barely news that officials dumped 1,000 migrants into

Deep inside the legislative language of the falsely titled “inflation reduction act”, aka The Green New Deal legislative vehicle constructed by lobbyists and passed by congress, people are now starting to realize a carbon-trading system was created. Ultimately, a carbon trading system has always been the holy grail of the people who run the western financial system and want to create mechanisms to control wealth by using the ‘climate change’ agenda. A carbon trading system is a very lucrative financial transfer mechanism with a potential scale to dwarf the derivative, Wall Street betting, market. Secondarily, such a market would cement the climate change energy policy making it very difficult to reverse.

It is, rather, a thus-far successful crusade to criminalize wrongthink about the outcome of the 2020 presidential election. A barrage of subpoenas issued recently by the Department of Justice—U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Matthew Graves’ office specifically—against Trump aides is not seeking information about the Capitol protest but personal communications discussing what happened with the election and plans to fight

The filing contains this bombshell and seven other significant details about the Democrat-led plot to use U.S. intelligence agencies to deny Americans the results of their choice for president in 2016. The FBI made Danchenko a confidential human source, providing him and the FBI’s use of him “national security” cover, in March 2017 and terminated that designation in October 2020, according to

They are telling everyone who will listen how horrible congressional Republicans are and are asking, "Why vote when our representatives do nothing and get nothing done?" People who advocate not voting are advocating surrender to the leftist mob and surrender to Democrats who have ruined a perfectly good country. They are recommending surrender to the leftists who are persecuting Republican conservatives. There is no other way to read this: If you won't vote, you turn the reins of what power you have over to Democrats.

Especially considering the “demographic winter,” which is so evident in Spain and Italy. “In Italy there are empty villages with just twenty old ladies and nothing else,” he said. “Why can’t we make a policy in the West where immigrants are included with the principle that the migrant should be welcomed, accompanied, promoted, and integrated?” he asked.
