Biden Admin Imposes Strict Pollution Standards
for Buses and Heavy-Duty Vehicles

Original Article

As part of its aggressive green agenda, the Biden administration on Friday imposed new strict pollution standards for buses, trucks, and other heavy-duty vehicles that would all but necessitate electrification. Released by the Environmental Protection Agency, the rule progressively restricts the level of pollution trucks can legally emit across a manufacturer’s offerings for model years 2027 through 2032. The rule applies to vehicles, including tractor-trailers, school buses, R.V.s, garbage trucks, and cement mixers, and aims to combat climate impact from this part of the transportation sector.

This is 2024. 2027 is three years away. Assuming the next president is in his right mind, can’t this new “standard” be immediately removed? Particularly since air quality here has been improving steadily already. I realize that we can’t stop air from the big pollution producers from flowing into this country, and they aren’t about to follow our foolish EPA edicts.

It's not about the environment. It's about destroying American freedom, the American economy and the American way of life. Also, the pain of trying to meet these regulations will occur when The HairSniffer is safely retired, leaving the next person to 'face the music'. Meantime, the ChiComs burned 4,600,000,000 TONS of Coal last year, and India is right behind them.

Modern civilization is entirely dependent on access to refined hydrocarbons. Why do democrats want so badly to do away with civilization? Do they believe that they would prosper, as nations crash and people starve in numbers never before witnessed in human history? How does a "green agenda" stack up against red blood running in the streets of our large citiesa, amidst rotting corpses? No diesel, no food; it's that simple. Only one thing seems clear as to the plans of the left and that is they must find a way to ban/confiscate firearms and ammunition from law abiding citizens, while they turn blind eyes towards actual criminal behavior. If one were to count the number of democrat mayors and other elected or appointed officials nation-wide, and compare that number to the number of front-line democrat street cops, one might conclude democrats are inherently cowardly and fear the populace over which they feel entitled to rule, rather than represent. A starving population is not a kind, patient population, and no amount of skirting our Constitution can ever put the firearms genie back in the bottle.

These "pollution standards" have ZERO basis in fact for any actual harm. The Clean Air Act needs to be revisited and the requirements tolled back to about 1990 levels of emissions, and LOCKED DOWN there permanently. Clip the wings of the EPA permanently. Remove their power to rewrite these "pollution" regulations.

An antisemitic protest at New York University got out of control on Monday, forcing the university to request the help of the New York Police Department. According to a report from Fox News, the NYPD "arrested numerous people following a request from NYU for police to clear Gould Plaza of people refusing orders to leave the area, including many suspected of having no affiliation with the university." Around 8:30 p.m., mass arrests began, leading to the dwindling of the demonstration within an hour. NYU, among various campuses nationwide, saw protests against Israel's actions in Gaza. Approximately 50 anti-Israel protesters gathered at the plaza without prior authorization, prompting the university

Actions have consequences, as Rep. Ilhan Omar's daughter is finding out after being suspended from Barnard College for participating in the ongoing violent, antisemitic protests at Columbia University. Lack of action can have consequences, too, and Columbia's refusal to crack down on the protesters and ensure the safety of its Jewish students is now going to cause them to lose out on some serious cash as billionaire Patriots owner Robert Kraft has announced he will no longer support his alma mater. He says the school is "unrecognizable" to him. Kraft, founder of the Foundation to Combat Antisemitism, made his thoughts clear in a statement Monday:

The cops in riot gear cuffed the protesters – who are demanding NYU divest from holdings tied to Israel over the ongoing violence in Gaza — with zip ties and led them to police buses that had arrived near the campus hours earlier, the university’s student-run newspaper Washington Square News reported. Moments earlier, police blasted a message over a megaphone, ordering the protesters to disperse or face arrest for trespassing, according to the newspaper.

The case, City of Grants Pass v. Once upon a time, U.S. students were awarded gold stars for achievement; merit was the American way. These days, that celestial system has dimmed -- DEI is lighting the way.
