Once upon a time, U.S. students were awarded gold stars for achievement; merit was the American way. These days, that celestial system has dimmed -- DEI is lighting the way.
Consider the case of Kristina Raevsky, a 14-year-old from Queens. The eighth-grader has a lot to be proud of: Per the New York Post, she's "published four books" and won trophies for debating. Her attendance record is perfect. And where grade point average is concerned, Kristina's killing it -- she boasts an immaculate 100.
Amid her pursuit of excellence, the youngster has harbored a dream: to go to Flushing's Townsend Harris High School. But in 2024, accomplishment alone won't cut it.

DEI louts are #1 in upside down world. It would be wonderful if Kristina Raevsky writes a book about her dealings with DEI clownery in NYC.

School administrators: the stupid leading the even more stupid.
At least in this case there was a happy ending.

Well we all have to admit this.
Tests, and attendance ,and manners, and a pursuit of excellence are definitely a barrier for 99% of blacks.
It is that way for schools and also for jobs. That's why DEI is necessary to make the majority of blacks competitive.
It's a funny thing with the white race someone who excels and is brilliant is something to be proud of.
With Blacks it means they are acting too white.

She has published four books. One of them is titled "A Sheep's Tale: Young Patriot's Guide to Saving America".
I will be checking the book out.

“ One moment, Svetlana’s there. The next, she’s disappeared into thin air. Or did she? Set in 1928, hear Svetlana’s story as she travels from the USSR to America, comparing her life in both countries up to present day and noticing some troubling similarities. Then, join Stephanie in a race to save her city. Kristina Raevsky’s 2-in-1 book will open your eyes to the issues facing America today, shining light for the future.”
From a review: “ Especially relevant is chapter 11, Current Times 2022, a realistic look at how legal immigrants who come to America seeking a better life, who cherish freedom and the values that America was founded upon, are the most perceptive in the brutal realization that our leaders turning our nation into something it wasn't meant to be.”

And this all started when kids got participation trophies instead of first place, second place, etc. Funny thing about participation trophies, when 4-H started that nonsense, it didn't work at state fairs. It didn't work at rodeos and it certainly didn't work at horse shows or cattle shows. These kids still knew how to compete and win or try harder.

When pursuit of excellence, self-discipline, manners, and compassion are penalized, pursue them, anyway. Fairness would reward meritorious effort and achievement. But make no mistake -- true virtue still carries its own reward. (PS Chapter 13 of First Corinthians is always applicable)

Something similar to this happened to me years ago when I applied for a job with the city. I tested with a room full of people and was told by the head of HR, a girl I knew, that I made the 4th highest score but was pushed down to 8th on the list because they had to put 'others' ahead of me. This was in the '80's and was standard procedure in the south. Still not fair today.
