President Joe Biden’s Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms Director Steven Dettelbach seems to know as much about guns as Democrat-nominated Supreme Court justices.
As ATF head, Dettelbach, who was confirmed in 2022 with the help of Senate Democrats and two Republicans, is expected to understand to some degree the items his agency regulates and enforces. Unfortunately for Americans who have endured a slew of attacks on their Second Amendment rights at the hands of the Biden administration, Dettelbach is publicly ignorant about the guns and gun parts his agency wants to ban.
During his appearance on CBS’s “Face The Nation” over the weekend, Dettelbach outlined for CBS News’s Margaret Brennan the ATF’s

Dettelbach, head of a federal agency with the real goal of ending private firearm ownership, doesn't know the difference between a magazine and a clip. He needs to lay off the gangsta rap and learn a thing or two about firearms before opening his ignorant trap.

Here's attorney Collion Noir, who does know guns, discussing "magazine" versus "clip."

It's all right. Pete Buttigieg is secretary of transportation and doesn't know anything about that, either. "Pothole Pete," couldn't even fix the streets of South Bend, Indiana. Population of about 100,000 so you know that Pete has the broad and deep understanding needed for a government job.
It's the ideologues running the show - just like the USSR. It doesn't matter what you know or can do - it's how LOYAL YOU ARE TO THE PARTY.

Sounds like a domestic enemy of the constitution. Not that there's any shortage of such psychopaths in DC.

January 20, 2025 is the Presidential Inauguration day (MLK Day also). I think that Tuesday, January 21, 2025 will become know a Bloody Tuesday as President Trump fires a whole host of embedded liberal bureaucrats Agency Heads who do not/will not cooperate with the Trump/conservative agenda for the country. The media will be in a frenzy about how Trump has taken power and has now made himself the fascist dictator. All that he will really be doing is correcting the damage that has been done over the past 4 years and setting the USA on a course for future success.

The constitution is very clear; the government has no authority to ban or regulate any firearm for any reason. Not that the Constitution interests them.

There has been no update that I know of regarding the ATF/IRS raid at a Montana gun shop last June where agents seized dozens of boxes of 4473 forms.
ATF agents are “jack-booted government thugs.”

This is just another reason why there should not be a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. None of those things are the government's business. Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives should be a retail store, not a government agency.
The same goes for the Depts. of Education, Energy, Agriculture, Housing and the EPA.

Common sense will tell you that violent criminals and “nut jobs” do not obey gun control regulations and laws. In contrast 99.9% of the time those regulations and laws are an inconvenience to law abiding citizens who do obey such regulations and laws, and who do not use firearms for unlawful purposes.

Millions and millions of Americans took an oath to "protect the Constitution from all enemies, FOREIGN and DOMESTIC." And most of them still take this oath very seriously.
The jack booted thug types had better beware. They are outnumbered by about 10,000 to one.

FTA: "Chris Bort—the acting chief of the ATF's Firearms Ammunition Technology Division couldn’t assemble or disassemble a Glock." These leftist activists, every one an ignorant hoplophobe, don't appear to know anything about what it is they're supposed to be regulating. Taking apart a Glock for cleaning, or putting a Glock back together, takes about five seconds. Hold the gun in a way that pulls the slide back slightly, pull down the two spring loaded levers, and the slide with barrel and recoil spring comes right off. Even people with crassitude, with IQs of below 60, imbeciles, can easily learn how to take down most firearms. But that's beyond Bloomberg's minions. They don't want to know anything about creepy guns, except that thery believe that only the government and criminals should have them.

One necessary addition to #16, concerning taking apart a Glock: Different types of firearms break down differently. Glock is one pistol make requiring the trigger to be pulled before gripping the gun to pull the slide back slightly, depressing the two levers, and pushing the slide forward off the frame. Since the trigger must be pulled first, the chamber MUST be empty and then the magazine ejected before taking the slide off. Otherwise, the gun will fire.

Correction of correction: Magazine always out first! Then clear the chamber. I like to lock the gun open so I can look down through the empty magazine chamber, then see if there is a chambered round to removed. Never break a safety rule with anything dangerous like a gun, chainsaw, ax, etc.
