Corporate media outlets are running salacious headlines that Pope Francis is now allowing “priests to bless same-sex relationships.” The implication from the media is that the Catholic Church has made a “radical” reversal on its stance that marriage is between one man and one woman. This is factually untrue.
On Monday, the Vatican’s Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith released a “Declaration ‘Fiducia Supplicans’ On the Pastoral Meaning of Blessings.” In the declaration, the Vatican first reaffirms that marriage is the “exclusive, stable, and indissoluble union between a man and a woman, naturally open to the generation of children.”

Link goes to wrong article.
Anyway Pope Pachamama usually issues subjective, interpretative directives that contradict established teachings that he doesn't have the guts to address directly.

Because in the RCC salvation is through the church, it's a blessing from the church, the actual blessing is gay couples can have salvation. Nothing has changed as far as the sin goes.

A better headline would be"
"The Media are Providing the False Re-interpretation of Catholic Moral Teaching, Just as Pope Francis Intended."
The "declaration" is a failure to correct renegade clergy acting against established teachings with smokey rhetoric that invites further misinterpretation of those teachings.
That is how pope Pachamama rolls.

It was believable information because this Pope has declared most sexual acts that were previously declared wrong to be "not serious." So who are you going to believe, the current Pope or rules in the Bible that have existed for a few thousand years and are obviously contrary to the laws of nature?

This Pope was put in for this very reason He is changing the Catholic church and who is going to bring a Pope down. Wait..Obama our 1st black Muslim president, was in on the "retirement" of the last one so who knows. I don't believe Pope Francis is anymore of a Pope than I am.

Sin is sin is sin is sin. Break one you’ve broken all 10. one is not worse than another and they all bring separation from G-d. Thus the need for the promised one, son of G-d babe of Bethlehem.

Minor correction to poster above, the Catholic Church teaches that salvation comes through Jesus Christ alone.

Frances is intentionally sowing discord among the flock because he is a devoted leftist not a devoted christian:
FTA: The Vatican’s response Monday was wildly delayed, failed to directly address German priests, and focused far more on the already-established fact that same-sex individuals can receive blessings rather than the fact that same-sex unions are contradictory to Church teaching and cannot be blessed by priests. All these things combined have prompted the media to egregiously misrepresent the “Declaration On the Pastoral Meaning of Blessings,” but perhaps that was Francis’ intention.

This is why a person should wait with some comments. The truth will be told days, sometimes weeks later. I will say, some of the pope's actions are to be questioned. But either way, the media is not to be trusted. Leftwing media hates Catholics, Jews and other Christians.

But don't take the first several para's at face value. Get to at least para's 6 and 7 before deciding it's cut and dry.

Wonder who's really running the Vatican...the woke pope is just the figure head...like biden is for Obama...the pope has no strength of character...and if the left thinks they can discourage me from my faith...they better think twice...I follow the teaching of Pope John Paul and the Bible and the Ten Commandments....and I can assure you all...I'm in very good hands.....

'James Martin, a US Jesuit priest and well-known advocate for LGBTQ believers, said the document was a "major step forward in the church's ministry to LGBTQ people".
He said it was also a "marked shift" from a 2021 decision in which the Vatican said the Church did not have the power to bless same-sex unions because God could not "bless sin"'

fta: In the case of the “Declaration On the Pastoral Meaning of Blessings,” one must ask what its purpose is in the first place if not to sow chaos and confusion. If Francis cared about upholding Church doctrine and providing necessary clarity on the issue of priests blessing same-sex unions, the Vatican would have given an immediate and direct repudiation of the German priests blessing same-sex unions two years ago, with only a secondary note that, as we already know, individuals who seek God’s grace to avoid sin may be blessed by priests.
The Vatican’s response Monday was wildly delayed, failed to directly address German priests, and focused far more on the already-established fact that same-sex individuals can receive blessings rather than the fact that same-sex unions are contradictory to Church teaching and cannot be blessed by priests. All these things combined have prompted the media to egregiously misrepresent the “Declaration On the Pastoral Meaning of Blessings,” but perhaps that was Francis’ intention.

Exactly. The Bishop of Rome wants change but he won't just do it because he knows he can't yet so he will set the stage. He will allow sin and wickedness to creep into the RC church slowly with no repudiation, no censure until the change he desires will be like so many doctrinal additions and changes the RC church has made over the centuries, "just a common sense change that reflects modern life." In reality, it is all about power, politics and money.

This is the same Pope that allowed an animist pagan to sacrifice chickens in a pagan ritual on the grounds of the Vatican in Oct-2019...along with this article, and no accompanying "clarification" from the Pope himself, suggests the Pope, unlike Jesus, is a universalist...meaning, the Pope believes all men are going to Heaven, regardelss of their beliefs.

Mea culpa, #23 (and poster above) . . . my "minor correction" turns out to have been unnecessary. The Cathechism actually teaches us that "all salvation comes FROM Christ the Head THROUGH the Church which is His Body". Prepositions!
It goes on to say "the one Christ is the mediator and the way of salvation; he is present to us in his body which is the Church. He himself explicitly asserted the necessity of faith and Baptism, and thereby affirmed at the same time the necessity of the Church which men enter through Baptism as through a door."
