Legacy Media Tries to Suppress Damaging Information

Original Article

One article showing up this weekend in the Associated Press seems fairly typical of election-year legacy media coverage at first glance. The title makes a generic accusation against "anonymous right-wing users" on social media who are spreading "false information." Well, we certainly don't need more of that floating around, so I suppose we'd better look into it. Unfortunately, not many details are offered beyond the identity of a pseudonymous Twitter account that posted some data from the Social Security Administration showing a spike in voter registration in several states where vast numbers of illegal migrants have taken up residence. Many of these registrations were apparently

It's the Associated Press (AP). You cannot trust anything they write. At one time they were the gold standard for reporting without bias. No longer. Now they are as biased, maybe more so, than the worst of liberal media.

I remember a visit to the local bank about 10 years ago. A new arrival was opening an account. The account manager was enumerating all of the existing accounts and addresses the bank already had for the same SSN, while the applicant just said, "not me" to each of them.

A seven-page juror questionnaire was released by the judge overseeing former President Donald Trump’s upcoming criminal trial in Manhattan. Judge Juan Merchan released a questionnaire on Monday, consisting of 42 questions he will ask jurors as part of the process of selecting the jury for the trial, according to ABC News. The trial, which begins on April 15, centers around alleged hush-money payments Trump made to adult entertainment star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential election. In one question on the questionnaire, jurors are asked which “print publications, cable and/or network programs, or online media” they read or have watched. Answers to the questions include

"G*d d*mn America!" was the first and only serious crisis of Barack Obama's ascension to the Democrats' presidential nomination in 2008. Obama's longtime pastor, Jeremiah Wright of Chicago's Trinity United Church of Christ, said those words repeatedly in an infamous videotaped sermon. In an earlier age, a presidential contender sitting still and keeping his mouth shut during years of sermons like Wright's would have torpedoed Obama's presidential ambitions. Anyone from the early GenX cohort and older thought there was a non-zero chance Obama might be toast. Anyone younger — largely denied the Civics classes prior generations were raised on and spoonfed "America is bad, mmkay?" lessons — knew better.

ABC legal analyst Sunny Hostin said Monday on ABC’s “The View” that eclipses, earthquakes and cicadas could “lead one to believe” that “climate change exists.” Partial transcript as follows: HOSTIN: I know, right? I have to say, one of our wonderful makeup artists…when the earthquake was happening, she put her coat on and she was, like, Jesus is coming. I’m out. I’m leaving. We got a solar eclipse. We’ve got an earthquake. She ran down the hallway. GRIFFIN: The Rapture is here! HOSTIN: The Rapture is here. Also, I learned that the cica-ah-das are coming. GOLDBERG: Cicadas. HOSTIN: For the first time in a hundred years.

Americans have “legitimate frustration” over migration and economic opportunities, “and I agree with them,” said Jamie Dimon, the billionaire chairman and chief executive officer of the world’s biggest bank, JPMorgan Chase. In his 2024 annual letter to shareholders. Dimon condemned the nation’s establishment for failing to protect the American dream, economic dynamism, and economic opportunities for ordinary Americans: From my point of view, our highly charged, emotional and political domestic issues are centered around 1) immigration and lack of border security and 2) the fraying of the American dream, particularly for low-income and rural Americans who feel left behind

There were negotiations taking place in Cairo on Sunday. The head of the CIA, Bill Burns, met with the head of Israel's Mossad and intermediaries from Qatar and Egypt. He proposed a new deal which would grant Hamas a six week ceasefire in exchange for a portion of the remaining Israeli hostages. The Israeli officials said Burns laid out a proposal that builds on terms discussed during previous negotiations in March. It asks additional for compromises from both parties, an Israeli official said... A key issue in the new proposal concerns Israel's demand that Hamas release 40 hostages who are alive, even if some of them do not meet the original criteria

The office of special counsel Jack Smith has just filed its brief urging the Supreme Court to reject former President Donald Trump's appeal claiming he should be immune from prosecution in his 2020 federal election subversion case. In his brief to the Supreme Court, Special Counsel Smith argues that Trump has put forward a "novel and sweeping" theory of immunity that lacks any historical precedent and refutes the vision of the country that its founders intended. "The effective functioning of the Presidency does not require that a former President be immune from accountability for these alleged violations of federal criminal law," the brief reads. "To the contrary, a bedrock principle

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.) is throwing his weight behind bipartisan legislation designed to facilitate the sale of TikTok, separating the social-media giant from its Chinese parent company. McConnell spoke on the Senate floor Monday afternoon and expressed support for legislation passed by the House last month requiring Chinese parent company ByteDance to sell TikTok to an American buyer or face a ban. “America’s greatest strategic rival is threatening our security right here on U.S. soil in tens of millions of Americans homes,” McConnell said. “I’m speaking, of course, of TikTok.”

The Justice Department is refusing to provide House Republicans the audio recording of President Joe Biden’s interview with special counsel Robert Hur. The DOJ wrote a letter Monday to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R., Ohio.) and Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R., Ky.) explaining its decision not to turn over the audio recordings. “Indeed, by the Committees’ own measure, the Department has met your stated informational needs. The Department has produced the two classified documents you requested, the transcripts of the Special Counsel Office interviews of the President and of Mark Zwonitzer that you requested, and the correspondence regarding the Special Counsel’s report that you requested,”

Washington CNN — Biden administration officials on Monday unveiled the details of a new plan to forgive student loan debt, suggesting that millions of Americans could start seeing debt relief as soon as this fall. The new set of proposals, which CNN reported on Friday, have yet to be finalized. It’s President Joe Biden’s second attempt to implement broad student loan forgiveness after his first plan was struck down by the Supreme Court last summer. The president traveled to Wisconsin on Monday — a key swing state this November — to announce the plan. “While a college degree is still a ticket to the middle class, that ticket’s becoming much too expensive,”

Back when Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg first indicted Donald Trump, I remember very distinctly warning Democrats that this was not going to go the way they were hoping. Sure, they may get a conviction - although Bragg's case itself was a stretch from the jump and other cases appear to be struggling or falling apart completely - but in the meantime, they not only secured Trump's nomination for GOP nominee this year, they also united the Republican Party in ways they haven't fully grasped yet. There are some signs of fracturing still - the House GOP is its own hot mess - but there are plenty of Republicans

Hundreds of thousands of people who have traveled to see Monday’s total solar eclipse across the southern and northeastern United States are likely to be disappointed, as cloud cover and bad weather cover much of the path. A total solar eclipse is a rare event in which the moon passes directly in front of the sun, casting a dark shadow that lasts a few minutes at any given point, depending on variables such as the distance of the moon from the earth. The experience is spectacular. During totality, the outer portion of the sun — the corona — is visible, as are stars near the sun, and planets such as Mercury,

The Israeli government denied Monday that the withdrawal of ground forces from southern Gaza on Sunday meant that it was giving up on its plan to attack Hamas in the city of Rafah and destroy the last four terrorist battalions. Israel pulled out its troops suddenly, leaving only the Nahal Brigade to control a corridor of access from Israel into Gaza, and to prevent movement from southern to northern Gaza, keeping Hamas terrorists bottled up in the south. The sudden movement was an apparent response to pressure from President Joe Biden, who told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that he wanted an “immediate ceasefire”

According to former federal prosecutor Eric Lisann, Knight Specialty Insurance won't be allowed to post a $175 million bond for Donald Trump as he appeals a fraud judgment. This statement came in response to lawyer Dave Kingman's assertion that the insurance company wouldn't be able to secure the bond for Trump. Newsweek explains: Kingman wrote that, as a result, New York Attorney General Letitia James will be able to begin enforcement proceedings on Donald Trump's properties. A New York court has rejected Knight Specialty's paperwork and said it wanted to see more information on its financial backing. The company filed new paperwork on April 4.

By this point, it’s clear to everyone that Bill Barr was a dirty pawn of the Deep State, installed to undermine President Trump from the inside. Yet, we’ve now got a rare look at just how evil he truly was. Barr wasn’t merely “concerned” about the 2020 election; he was outright “irate.” Not over the injustice of it all, mind you, but because he was incensed by any investigations into the sham. If this doesn’t scream his direct involvement in the coup against Trump, what does? Here’s what Trump spokeswoman Liz Harrington had to share about “irate” Bill Barr and his urgent push to halt any probes

Passengers on a Houston-bound Southwest Airlines flight watched in horror Sunday as an engine on the Boeing 737-800 appeared to come apart mid-flight. The flight immediately returned to Denver after crew members noticed a removable sheet of metal covering one of the plane’s engines sheared off during takeoff. In a terrifying video posted on X by ABC’s chief transportation reporter Sam Sweeney, the metal engine cover can be seen whipping in the breeze like paper as it tore loose. In a statement, the Federal Aviation Administration said a part of the aircraft called an engine cowling had detached and struck one of the plane’s wing flaps.

Over the past few years the term "Deaths of Despair" has become all too common. It's not a new term; after the fall of the Soviet Union, the already poor state of Russians' health deteriorated and lifespans declined. The same effect has been seen in places where social cohesion and support structures deteriorated for some reason or another. And, not that many people know it, it was known in public health circles (before they conveniently forgot) that excessive "Non-Pharmaceutical Interventions" (NPIs) to address a public health crisis caused serious health problems that often were worse than the disease.
